Styling Tips

  • Spray into palms and massage into hair.
  • Spray CocoShea Spray into palms first, and then massage it throughout the hair.
  • May be used as a leave in treatment, as a companion product for twisting, or for general daily hair care and maintenance.
  • Use along with the Twist Defining Cream for twists and twist-outs.
  • Use CocoShea Spray whenever you would normally use Shea Butter and/or Coconut Oil. This special formulation allows the oils to penetrate your strands easier in a thin, even, shiny layer.

Not sure about this. Have only used it once, when my hair was still wet it made it dry stiff and hard/straight which was odd. Will try it again on dry hair and see what it's like then. Also I'm not keen on the smell, compared to the other as I am products this smells weird. For almost £20 for a small bottle I expected a lot more.

I was very disappointed with this product. My hair felt like straw after one use. I won't be buying this product ever again.

Hair type: mixed, 3C/4A. I like the As I Am line very much and the CoWash & Double Butter Cream are my staples. I really liked CocoShea Spray. For only 4 ounces, it lasted longer than I expected, which means a little goes a long way. That said, I think it was too pricey for what it did. Good as a light moisturizer, but don't expect a lot of sheen. Also, I love coconut, but compared to other AIA products, the spray didn't have that great coconut smell. It didn't smell bad, though. Would probably buy again.

This product works well with the As I Am hair milk.. Leaving my hair glossy and glissing throughout the day.. And the product is not that expensive for what it does for your hair.. It's Awesome

I really like to use this as a sealer after the As I am Hair Milk. I concentrate it on the ends of my twists and am delighted to see the smooth ends on the twist out. I do spray it into my hands and distribute as recommended in the instructions.

This is the only spray that will refresh my WNG without causing tons of fizziness. When the ends of my hair get frizzy I spray this on the add a little gel to reactivate the curl at the ends of my strands. Usually Shea butter is too heavy for my coils but the way it's processed in the spray makes it more like an oil. It is white on your hair until it dries which doesn't take more than a few minutes. Also the scent is that typical sweet smell that I hate. It would be better with no fragrance.

I use this spray as I twist my hair, more as a re-wetting solution, as i still have yet to figure out how this can work for me. You must shake well or I sometimes spray into my hands and then apply to my section of hair. This partners very well with the twist defining creme. Rating will be 3 until I find other uses.

I really like this for moisturizing. I only have to use this after the Co-Wash and my hair looks great. The only drawback was how hard it was at first to get it out. I had to take the top off and pour it into my hand. After it sat a day though it got that I could use the sprayer, but this is small because this is the only oil I can use on my hair.

Like the other As I Am products, this smells great!

Pros: Leave hair soft and manageable
Cons: It's a bit messy. You have to spray it in your hand and then apply to your hair. It comes out white and in a bit of abundance so you don't want to spray directly on the hair.

I think this makes a good sealant for the hair though.

I absolutely love the spray. My hair dries out easily, but with the spray, I was able to spritz it daily to moisturize.

Nice spray to moisturize and refresh curls. Kinda heavy, so shake well and make sure the sprayer is not clogged. Good scalp moisturizer.
