Love this product. I use it underneath the As I Am Coil Defining Jelly.

OMG. I absolutely love this stuff. It smells good and the consistency reminded me of KCCC which is probably the product that has given me the best wash n go's over the years. With this product I was able to achieve 2nd & 3rd day hair. I have NEVER been able to get 3rd day hair, and 2nd day hair has only happened for me twice. I used Herbal Essences Totally Twisted conditioner in the shower to detangle and I left some in. I then spread the As I Am curling jelly through my hair with just my fingers and finally because I felt like I needed some extra hold topped it with Herbal Essences Set Me Up Gel. I let it air dry. I didn't have as much shrinkage as I normally do. No frizz. My hair was well defined, moisturized, and not too crunchy. I like that I was able to use other products with this curling jelly (unlike KCCC). The price is not outrageous. I was so impressed by this product that I actually wrote a review, and I have NEVER written a review for a product. I going to try some other products from this line.

I have 3b biracial curls that are frizz prone and easily weighed down by oils. I have been hunting a long time for a gel that is water soluble, doesn't contain heavy oils, dries quickly, doesn't flake or crunch and prevents frizz. For my hair, curling jelly does all of this AND has all natural ingredients. Win. KCCC is also a great option, but dried too stiffly on my hair. Curling jelly has a lighter hold and a slightly runnier texture. I use this product on top of a leave-in conditioner (Giovanni smooth as silk) and argan oi if my hair is dry. My curls dry shiny and frizz free, with a slight cast that helps define the ringlets. Once my hair is fully dry I squeeze the curls with my hands to release the hold and soften the curls. This is the only gel that truly defines and makes my curls soft and shiny at the same time. Didn't think it was possible until now.

I am a 3b/3c type. This is one of my go to products for my wash and go. Defines my curls with not a lot of product, a little definitely goes a long way. When it's dry I still get the volume I love, doesn't weigh down my hair. With that being said I have recently started using Knot Today under this product instead of the leave in from this line and the results were not good. My hair was left feeling very dry. It will stay in go to line up though as it is one of the best that I have found for my hair.

This is the perfect styler for my 3c/4a hair!! Leaves my hair defined and has a good hold without my hair being crunchy. My wash n go's normally last for 3 days. Then I can revive it by spraying aloe vera juice and water. Doesn't dry my hair out nor does it flake. It also plays well with the other products I use from different lines. However, I wish they would change the packaging to a bottle with a pump.

I love this product. I am heavy handed with it so it leaves my hair crunchy-but I LOVE CRUNCHY CURLS. It makes for a more defined, longer lasting and less tangled wash-n-go.

I have been looking for a cheaper alternative to kinky curly curling custard (KCCC). This stuff is amazing, leaves my hair defined and frizz free. I've tried a lot of products and nothing so far has worked as well. (shea moisture, uncle funky, devacurl, ecostyler...)

This needs to be applied on soaking wet hair in sections then SCRUNCH and don't touch it till it dries. Sometimes after I am done applying products I scrunch some more then gather my hair in a bun/topknot that I clip at the top of my head. But if I leave it out, I don't touch it or venture into the wind until it is at least 90% dry. I am also very generous with how much I put in my hair. With the smallest container, I can go through about 6-8 washes. It doesn't leave my hair crunchy (which I am not against) or with flakes.

What I really love about this is that the front of my hair, which normally lacks definition (and is usually a frizzy mess or puff while the back usually falls into nice ringlets) is also defined. Hardly anything gets the front of my to define or behave into curls. But this stuff works miracles.

If I am going for extra hold for something special then after applying As I am I will go over with some ecostyler gel (which otherwise does nothing for me by itself). This is definitely one of my holy grail products

I like the smell but it did not define my curls or give me any type of hold. I think my curls lasted for 2 days or 1 day and a half. My aloe vera gel from Better Health works a lot better, my curls lasted for 4 days and it would've been more if I didn't mess it up.

This product is not for all textures. It is lightweight, and does define well, but totally killed all my volume! I tried it today with a wash and go and used it as directed, but I fee like I have gel in my hair and I hate this feeling. I hate the crunchiness and separation. I don't recommend for 3B Texture.

First off I will say I was a bit confused by the fact that there are now two different jelly products by As I Am. So it took me some time at the beauty supply to remember which one I had been researching. Anyways after clearing that up I got this one rather than the "coil" one intended for "defining tightly coiled natural hair textures". This didn't go on as smoothly as I had wished but it did have some slip. I did use the leave in from As I am as recommended. I must say after this now being my second use it is great. I held up for days and my hair was defined, soft and fluffy. It wasn't super defined but just enough to not have tangles at the end of the week. Not going to lie there is a small bit of flakes but not enough to see on my clothes etc. I am thinking of giving the other jelly a try since it says it is made for wash and goes. Anyways, give it a try if you are looking for a softer, natural full look and feel :) (I am a 3c/4a medium/fine strand low porosity natural)

Horrible. The only reason I gave it three was because it does define very well. However, it leaves these weird booger-y flakes that melt if you go into heat. I thought perhaps I'd overused the product so I gave it another chance. Wrong, it's just like this. It's an amazing curl definer, it smells nice, and it is very light weight. But it's also oily, and flaky. On the front of my forehead it hurt really bad. I didn't know what was going on. I thought maybe I had a bruise since I easily bruise. But when I squeezed the spot out of curiosity a cluster of pus came out. I don't get acne EVER so I knew it had to be this product. It sucks that I'm out of money and I have acne because of this product. I do not recommend this product.

I've gone through every gel known to man, and I can honestly say this is the best I've found for my hair thus far. Combined with the As I Am leave-in and Curl Keeper (applied in between the leave-in and the gel), my curls are nicely defined, low on frizz, and soft without any obnoxious flakes. I even managed to plop successfully, which I'd never managed before with my chin-length hair. (I even like this better than KCCC which I was having a good run with before.) For reference, my hair is 2C/3A, fine, and low porosity.

This product is good but it must be layered w other products. I find that is does not give my hair much volume on its own. I use it along with Curl Keeper and put it to a diffuser.

I used it in combination with the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and the As I Am leave-in conditioner and all i can say is WOW!!!! i have 4A/4b hair and it has taken me years of bouncing from product to product... I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!

This definitely made my hair soft and calmed down the frizz, but that's the only good thing I have to say about it. It did not provide enough hold for my hair and did not give me the look I was going for. I wish I could say I loved this but then I'd be lying.

I tested this product out first by applying it to half of my head to compare the curl definition. Definitely saw a huge difference and proved itself worthy to be a regular in my regimen. Really made my curls pop. I would give five stars but it needed a little help in the hold department so I followed up with a very small amount of Kinky-Curly Curling Custard. The combination takes a while to dry, but the results were long-lasting.

I have 3b/3c hair type and ive been looking for a product thats able to hold my hair lighty . I really liked this beacuse it´s a light gel and although the first time i applied too much it made them a little crunchy, so make sure you dont over do it. Don´t let you be fooled this will hold your curls with just a little product which i love!

I recommend thsi for wash and go as well as other style like bantu knots or even curlformers. great edge tamer too.

I have been searching high an low for the ideal curl-definig product that would help me master wash and go's on my 3C/4A hair. I've tried Kinky Curly Curling Custard (wasn't terrible but I felt my hair was lacking that soft feeling), Eco styler gells (hair flet hard and dry), curling creams (too much frizz, not enough definition). This product by far is a win! I stumbled after traveling without my trusty hair products. Luckily there as a Sally's nearby. I was gunshy when I saw the price - $22 for 16 oz - but I was desperate. So glad I took the plunge. What impresed me with this product is that it reminds me of the KCCC in how it defines my curls. My hair was moisturized and my curls were still poppin' days after I first used it. It provides excellent slip when applying and a little goes a long way. Beware, applying to much will add to drying time. I applied on soaking wet hair per the instructions, sat under a hooded dryer until my hair was 80% dry and diffused the rest of the way. I am going to stick with this product for now.

I've never used a gel on my hair before so I'm not sure how to judge how well this works. It provides excellent hold. I went to bed with my hair out and this stuff on my curls and my hair wasn't all over the place in the morning. That's pretty amazing. But unless you do each and every single strand, there's still frizz. Also, I have a lot of hair and this stuff is really thin, so it gets used up really fast.

I was a loyal Deva fan until I discovered I have a gluten & soy the hunt began for products that didn't contain either of those ingredients. Some of the As I Am products have wheat in them, so they aren't gluten free, but this product has zero wheat/gluten in it!

I have 3b curls, low porosity, and very thick/dense. My hair responds well to thick products (pastes and pommades) that provide at least moderate slip, so I was concerned about a jelly (gel) which has a tendency to give me frizz at the crown and dry out my hair. I have to say that I am SUPER impressed with this product! I was shocked at how watery the jelly is coming out of the jar, but it goes onto wet hair with excellent slip and makes finger combing a breeze. I let it air dry (which makes the curls stick together and look wet) and then I scrunch the dried curls with my hands to break them up and eliminate the wet look. My curls are amazingly soft and defined all day after scrunching and I don't have any frizz!!! I apply a leave-in conditioner first (finishing my Eden Bodyworks Coconut Leave-In and then will give the As I Am a try) and then the jelly without any strange product interaction, caking, or flaking.

This curl definer is great for my 3c/4a curls. I have WL hair but it does shrink (as it normally does) but this product is true to its name and defines wonderfully without flaking. First I use the AIA leave in followed by a little of the AIA double buttercream to moisturize and then apply this in sections and it gives me a very bouncy and frizz free wash and go. This product also plays well with other products of different lines so that's a plus!!

    I am actually a type 3b/3c
I ordered this gel, and I absolutely love it. It gave me instant definition on my curls. I normally have a problem with frizz on top of my head, but with this gel I had zero frizz. Even the next day, I sprayed my hair with water, and my curls revived. Still zero frizz. I just ordered the bigger size of this gel. I am very happy with it!

Well I'm just now starting to wear my curls as curls and not blow dried and flat ironed. I like all of the AS I AM products, so I tried this. I gave this a 4 because it does leave my hair soft, but I wanted something that would elongate my curs/coils. It did the first day and a little bit on the second day, but not really on the third. I guess its because I have to reapply. For the people that had flakes in their hair. I don't think its the gel, I think its the products that you mixed with the gel. Try this time saving trick that I found on YouTube from I believe her name is NaturalMe4C. put a little of all of the products that you are going to put in your hair on the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together. If your palm has a white residue on the palms, then know that their will be flaking when it dries. If your palms are clear then its a good mix and it won't flake. I'm not sure if I want to apply this every Moring practically, but I do like that it makes my hair soft. So far its the best definer that I've tried besides Eco Gel/w Argon oil.

I tried it on my grand daughter's hair and she has very soft curls. It held the curls very well with the leave in conditioner. This is a wonderful product.

Ok, so this is a good product, although at first when my hair is done drying it does feel a little crunchy, but as the day goes on it gets softer. This is a lot better than the regular alcohol based gel I was using but I want to try Uncle Funky's Daughter when it is back in stock. I usually put this is my hair in sections and the plunk with a tshirt to dry for a while. I then finish drying with a diffuser and it works well. Overall a good product. I also use a leave in conditioner before putting this jelly in.

I am new to the world of learning how to work with my curls instead of just straightening them, but this product gives me hope! This is the only product I've used where my hair isn't a poofy mess in three hours. There is no white flakes when it dries which is also a first for me. The shine and definition of my curls has never been better. The only complaint I have is how stiff this product makes my hair. Would definitely use again.

More type 3A--(should be a way to adjust profile)--just used this once, with the AIA cowash and leave in. Nice--not a complete failure. I will use this alternating with my still favorite curly kinks coil jam. Maybe I just need to find the right amount etc,.but the finish is good--hair soft, good definition only slightly dry. The ingredients are good and I will continue to use these. Got four good days out of these--give it a try!

I have to admit that I was very skeptical about trying this product. I am a product junkie and have tried tons of different products trying to get the perfect curls. I did not think that it would define my curls and reduce my frizz. However, after trying the leave-in conditioner and the curling jelly I am AMAZED! My curls are way more defined and there is NO frizz. I also like that there is no sticky feel or white build up after using the products. I would definitely recommend the jelly and the leave-in conditioner. This is my new go to product!!

This product is amazing! It works on me, my mother, my cousin, and my daughter. WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT HAIR TYPES AND ALL NATURAL (NO PERM AND NO WEAVE)! 3c (my daughter - she's mixed; black port. and white), 4a (me, I am half port. and black), 4b (my mom, mostly black), and 4c (my cousin, all black/kinky, coiled hair). It brings a healthy shine to your hair and truly reduces frizz. It works best if you wash your hair every other day; YES! It hydrates so much that I don't have to worry about drying my hair out. The product is a gel-type consistency, so a little goes a far way. It can be used on wet or dry hair, but I prefer it when I get out of the shower because it keeps my hair laid down and shiny for the day. Also, be forewarned, my cousin didn't wash her hair for 3 days and she likes to twirl her hair (She says her hair has never felt this way before) and it started to flake. I would just recommend not going three days without washing your hair. Note* She just piled on more and more each day with water and didn't wash it out.

I LOVE THIS LINE! I purchased because I noticed the difference PH balanced products have on my fine 3c/4a hair. I didn't want to reorder and have to wait for another product I was using, so I tried this and I am glad I did!i think this line (co-wash, leave in and curly jelly) is my new staple! After washing my hair with the cow ash, I use the leave in, an oil to seal it in and applied the jelly for a wash and go. AMAZING! I had great hold and soft curls! I go a little overboard with products but I saw no flaking!

I started to purchase this just based on the description but I think I will wait until winter. One of the ingredients include glycerin, which is a humectant and great for the winter because it draws the moisture out of the air and retains it but terrible in the summer when a anti-humectant is needed. I bet all the people who disliked this will enjoy it in the winter versus the summer.

I purchased this through Sally's and will never repurchase again. Like some of the others commented, it left my hair stringy whichever way I applied it. Trust me-- I tried them all because I did not want to waste the product! It seems to work well for some people and that's probably attributable to the density of their hair, it's texture, and possibly some other factors. My hair dried like a bird's nest.

The formulation is too watery for my hair. All of the moisturizing products I applied before seemed to get watered down once I added this. My guess is that once the water evaporated off of my hair, the remaining moisture wasn't enough to combat dryness. I've tried everything else from their line-- accept the cleansing pudding-- and they seemed to agree with my hair, which is why I am so surprised this hair jelly seems destined to work for a less coily and dry texture. I'm only giving it one star because I have to give it something.

I didn't like this at all!!!! I tried this every which way- with knot today underneath, without any other product, a lot, a little, soaking wet hair, you name it, I did it. It produced flakes like crazy! There were flakes all over my clothes, my face and my arms- gross. Also, my hair didn't even look good! My curls were stringy and my hair was stiff and dull. I cannot recommend this product to anyone.

I just put this in my hair, and already I can tell its going to be a great product. For it being a jelly its not too sticky and my hair doesn't feel really crunchy or anything like that. It washes off your hands easily too, which s really nice when you wear rings. My hair feels lighter, full of volume, plus the smell is amazing.

I have 3c/4a hair and I use this product with CD Marguerites Magic or Healthy Hair Butter. While my hair is slightly wet I apply the Curling Jelly in each small section then apply either MM or HHB. Then I style my hair doing 2 or 3 strand twist. My twist or very bouncy, shiny and well defined with no frizz. After 4 days I take my twist down and my curls are looser, bouncy, defined and still frizz free. This is my second time purchasing this product and I will continue to use this product instead of ESOO gel. :) MUST TRY!!!!! Remember, Don't use on extremely wet hair or put to much in your hair. BEST EVER!

I have 3c hair. I applied to soaking wet hair, and I believe I may have gone overboard. So I towel blotted the excess gel with my micro fiber towel. My hair dried with no frizz, extremely defined, even my frizzy areas were defined. I had some shrinkage but thats normal for me. But lots of shine and the moisture was very surprising. Even on second day when gels usually start to look dry and the shine is gone for me, my hair was still shiny and moist. The only downside is I noticed some flaking. This could have been to me overdoing the application process. I really put alot on, but the flakes were gone just with a little rewetting. My curls were a little smaller and tighter than normal but I liked the definition this gives. No crunch either.

Smells great and works best for me as a second and/or third day hair smoother on dry hair. (to tame the frizz) It plays nicely with other products in this way. I would give it 5 stars but using it alone on wet hair did not give my hair the frizz hold I needed for the Florida humidity. It is awesome on my dry hair though...and I like that I can play with the amounts and make my 3b cork screw curls into 3a s pattern curls if I want to. Fun!

Hair type: mixed, 3C/4A. I like the As I Am line very much and the CoWash is one of my staples. The Curling Jelly is very light and does the job. However, I'd previously used the Kinky Curly Curling Jelly, and prefer KC over AIA. Decent frizz control, maybe it's how I used it, but I like the KC better.

I have found my HG STAPLE product! Finally! This jelly does what KCCC could not do for me. It's just strong enough to set the ever necessary curl cast, and just light enough to provide bouncy moisturized curls after I break the cast. I tired EVERYTHING from EcoStyler to Kinky Curly to Tigi to DevaCurl, and then I stumbled upon this line not expecting anything glad I was wrong. I am now on my second jar, and the first one lasted two months. SO a little really does go a long way. Very, very pleased with this Jelly and happy to say it's found a place in my regimen.

I use it with Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie or desert essence coconut hair cream. I get smooth moisturized curls that don't dry out or get hard. Its natural witch is a plus for me because i have a sensitive scalp. I love the fact that I can wet it a little or just add a little more of the curl jelly for 2nd or sometimes even 3rd day hair. I highly recommend!

The Curly Jelly defines my hair without it feeling crunchy. It doesn't elongate it, however it smells great and makes my hair look great.

My new favorite gel. It is pretty incredible stuff. Reminds me of Curly Kinks or Kinky Curls...same consistency. I can seriously say this is a great gel that holds well, seems to make my curls moisturized and touchable after using it.
I am 3A/3B and this stuff rocks my curls! (I even used some on a stubborn spot and it worked wonders!) Definitely a keeper!!

BOO! to this product. I knew I was in trouble when the instructions said not to touch hair until it dries. I applied a moderate amount of this product to my saturated hair after using the leave in conditioner. It went on to my TWA like a lotion and my curls began to start coiling immediately. The problem came in that I had that product on my hair with that white film for over 2 hours. It took forever to dissolve into my hair and when it finally did (3 hrs later) my hair was hard and crunchy. I hated this product and will never use it again. Nothing should take that long to dry on hair that's 2 inches long and to make your hair feel like paper...yuck. I had to wash that out of my hair and start all over. I have 4a hair and newly natural since my BC on 6/29/12.

This didn't work for my sister so, she gave it to me. Thank you Nicky! I don't own the As I Am leave-in so, I couldn't follow the directions exactly. First, I used it alone and got the most defined curls ever with a bit of crunch. (A little almond oil remedied it away.) I've also used it with a hair milk to achieve perfect coils. My hair was shiny, defined and bouncy!

Only good thing about it is the smell.Like an orange creamsicle. Other than that it gave me weighed down stringy curls.ugh.

Thick 4a, 3c in the front.

I love the smell but honestly it did not define my curls as well as I'd like it too. I used it on soaking wet hair, underneath the My Honey Child Coconut hair milk and then I diffused. To be clear, I shingled it in large sections with my Denman for even distribution and then I flipped my head over and scrunched it in. My hair was soft and there were no white flakes or residue but the back of my hair looked as if I put nothing in it. It did minimize my frizz though. The consistency is thin and it creates a soft so I guess it is meant for those with a looser curl pattern. I have used far better gels, including KCCC or ECOstyler so no I won't be repurchasing. I was disappointed!

When I used this with the As I Am leave in conditioner, it left my hair crunchy and full of white flakes after I got the crunch out. I used it again over KCKT and got better results when used with soaking wet hair (less white flakes than before but still had some flakage) and also had major shrinkage. The price is good for what you get and a little does go a long way but I will not repurchase.

It has an awesome smell but it's always crunchy & stringy in my 3b/c hair, maybe it's just me though.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, help?

I have 4a hair and I bought this to try as a wash and go. I used kinky curly leave in underneath and when it dried my hear was white... I tried using for a twist out, same results. I like that it doesn't have that sticky feel like the kinky curling custard, but I dislike how my hair looks after using this product. I hope they revamp this product and make it better. I will not buy this again

I was so glad to see an alternate to my beloved KCCC at a cheaper price, HOWEVER, it is cheap for a reason- well several reasons actually. This stuff is horrible. I can't believe the good reviews it got. The first time I used it, I put it over As I Am Leave-in Conditioner and it flaked like crazy. It looked like it was snowing on my shoulders and arms. I thought that maybe I put too much. So, I tried again and used way less. Same results. Then I tried it without putting anything underneath. No difference. It also left my curls looking stringy. I have tried it every which way and it just isn't the product for me. I have 3c/4a hair.

Thank you to the previous reviewers! I am in love with the Jelly! It has given me more definition than the KCC, plus the consistency when I do a wet twist out is so much better than KCC. Thanks again Ladies

I was skeptical, but I wanted to try this because it was less expensive than purchasing the kinky curly custard. I was very pleasantly suprised! It has become my staple go-to product. I have natural 4a hair, i'm military and this product comes in very handy when I have very little time to get ready for work and don't have time to fuss with my hair. I drench my hiar with luke warm water add the knot to day(kinky curly line) and add the just as I am curling jelly finish let it air dry and i'm ready for my day. I use frank juice to keep my hair refreshed throughout the day or simply head to the restroom and spritz alittle water on my hair to keep it looking refreshed.

I LOVE this product. It consistently gives me beautiful curls that bounce. I apply this by raking it through small sections of my hair, over As I Am Leave-In. I have medium/thick, medium/low porosity, 3a (some b) curls that love moisture, and this makes them shiny and soft. It CANNOT be touched until hair is completely DRY, but the wait is waaaaaaay worth it. My hair doesn't do well in extremely low dew points, but I've used this on days when the dew point was pretty low and my hair did great. This reminds me of Kinky Curly Curling Custard, which is probably my all-time most loved curl product. It feels similar, and it gives similar results. A big difference, unfortunately, is that As I Am Jelly contains glycerin, which can be problematic in low dew points. As I Am also contains Aloe, which is a humectant, but in general my hair seems to react better to aloe than to glycerin. Curling Jelly's scent is light and yummy - like coconut with a twist of citrus. A little goes a long way, so my 16 oz jar will last for some time.

This gives me nice curl body if I want big curls. It allows me to make my shorter hair (bangs & crown) move wavy than curly, which is a look I like sometimes. This dries in a hard, crunchy cast, and it's the kind of cast where you think your hair is dry, so you scrunch, and it's only the "crust" that was dry, so you get major frizz. So be careful - if your hair seems to have dried too soon, it has. When this is completely, totally dry (which takes hours for me...) I can scrunch and get a look I like, but this doesn't hold nearly as long as other products for me (i.e. Kinky Curly Curling Custard). After the scrunch, however, this curling jelly leaves my hair remarkably soft and so, so shiny. This is wonderful for "bounce" but not as wonderful for definition. If I'm in the mood for a full bouncy look, this is a go-to product. A little goes a long way. Only a little bit is needed for each hair section, (trust me on this one). The first time I used this, I applied it the way I do KCCC, and I looked like I'd gotten a hair transplant made of 1970s telephone cords. This needs to be used with, at least, a leave-in, because it doesn't protect from frizz at all.

Purchased this product along with the Twist Defining Cream. It does provide curl definition for my 3c hair, but it makes it hard and crunchy. Unlike the Twist Defining Cream that I tossed in the trash, I still have this. I will probably return to it at a later time if I can find a way to get rid of the crunch.

The curling jelly really defines my curls. I have a lot of shrinkage though. I really like that it rinses easily and my hair feels soft and moisturized. I only have to cowash if I feel like it. The scent is not too strong and for me it doesn't linger. I like it better tgan kinky curly custard for the price, amt of product, consistency, and results. I still like kccc because I have never experienced flaking with it. Which is why I am giving four stars. I got flakes at first but now once my hair dries I rub a light oil in my hair and that has eliminated the problem. Overall though I am very pleased.

LOVE this product. I use it in conjunction with the Coconut Co-Wash and the Double Butter Cream following the CG method. The definition, shine, and hold is great. The smell of these products is wonderful. They all smell similar and I like that. The consistency is that of a loose jelly, for some this may be an issue but for me this consistency was great because it distributed through my hair very well. There was a bit of a crunch on day one after my hair was completely dry but it wasn't hard. I will definitely be re-purchasing this product in the 16oz size. I may buy two of them so I don't have to buy so often.

I didn't care for this gel. First off the consistency of the gel was runny and watery and it smelled weird to me. Secondly, I did not like the way may hair felt or looked, ( I used it as directed) My curls were not defined in any way and my hair actually laid flat to my head. Now, I currently have a TWA so I didn't need to use very much of it, however it definitely seemed to just sit on my hair and not make the curls pop. As for now, I am placing this gel on the back of my shelf, I will most likely try it again later on when my hair grows out alittle more. I won't cancel As I Am Curling Jelly out for now, maybe I will revisit this gel at another time when I have more length.

This is an absolutely incredible product! I usually never write reviews but this was too good to pass up. I used this after I used the cleansing pudding and the deep conditioner from the same line, and got incredible results! Shiny, bouncy, loopy curls (which I *never* get), no crunch at all, and held up all day! Usually I need to add a gel on top after I finish drying to tame any frizzies left, but with this product I didn't need anything else. I'll definitely be purchasing this again - highly recommended!

    Love Love Love!!!
I have finally found my curly hair regimen! Curl junkie assurance conditioner and smoothing lotion and then this lovely jar of pure heaven and moisture. I usually don't even write reviews, but this product has worked so well for me! It not only styles and tames my crazy 3c curls, but locks in moisture extremely well without crunch or frizz. My go to on days when I feel like cutting all my new growth off, and sporting a short short cut again.

This is a great product for cooler climates. I used this product during a cold/rainy day and my hair was defined, frizz free and soft. This product smells great. It reminds me of the Sheamoisture curl enhancing smoothie. I used this product over the As I Am leave-in and diffused and got great results. I will probably purchase this product in the future. I highly recommend it!

This is the Gell i've tried so far. There's glyerin in it, but it'c performed well on days where there's high depoints. Usually I have a problem with glycerin products in high dew, as it makes my hair frizzy & sticky. Not this gel. It give a soft hold without crunch if you're not heavy handed when applying. Definetly reminds me of KCCC, but I actually like this much better. The results are more consistant. Leavin, oil to seal, gel...BLAM! Great hair. It's kicked KCCC off of my HG list as his gel rocks socks!

My twa craves this!!! I have tried Miss Jessies, but it did not moisturize as well as this and As I am is about $16 cheaper. I have also tried Kinky Curly, but it pudding left too much residue and was too heavy on my hair. The only downside is I will have to continue to mail order it since I can't get it at the local stores. As I am is perfect for me!

Wonderful product. I had lots of defined curls that felt nice and soft. I also got very nice 2nd day hair and passable 3rd day hair. My hair is mainly 3a with some 3b. My daughter's hair goes from 2a-b. This product is amazing on her hair. It goes into loopy curls. I will definitely repurchase. The price is great for the amount that you get and I don't find I need to go too heavy handed with this product.

I am a definate product junkie and hands down this is the BEST styling product for wash and go's that I've ever used! I've used it several times now and every time I get well defined, soft curls that last 3 or more days without having to restyle. It's similar to KCCC but better definition and not sticky. LOVE THIS STUFF!!!

The curling jelly did define my curls, but I had more shrinkage than I would've liked. I think if I would've used the shingling method, I would've had better results.
