I love the As I Am product line. This leave in conditioner works well with the L.O.C Method for shiny, solky soft curls! Here is my youtube video on the product: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWsK31Y0608&list=PLE986BE8BA1BC0063&index=2

This isn't a good leave-in. I picked it up because the first ingredients are coconut oil and amla. I use those ingredients in my regimen on the regular; however, this product was disappointing. I kind of liked it the first use but after that, no. It's not that cheap though so I'm going to use it until it's gone.

I really enjoy this leave-in. I use it everyday in my L.O.C. system. First I spray my fro with my Aloe Vera & Grapeseed oil mix, then I apply organic cold-pressed Coconut oil, then I follow with this leave-in. My hair is so soft, manageable, and easy. Plus, I've seen a dramatic reduction in split ends, knots and dry scalp in my hair. I don't think I will bother with any other products in the line because they're too $$$ for me, but this leave-in is worth the money for sure. Try it for yourself!

I love light leave in conditioners. This light and helps a lot with detangling after washing. I didn't have to use any other products before blow drying and flat ironing. I flatiron and wear a wrap most of the time so I don't need anything thick that weighs my hair down. It's perfect for my 3c hair.

I really wanted to like this product because I really love their co-wash, but I was not impressed at all. When I put it in, I did not feel anything. So I am still searching for a good leave in. And I didn't like that there was not at pump. So for me it was just ok.

Do not be fooled by all of the positive reviews on this product. This product, for naturally thin (strands of) curly hair is absolutely the worst. First, it takes away from any definition of that my curls have--it basically makes my hair look string-y because the product is SO heavy! It weighs down my hair. Also, this product makes the bottom of my curls mat together into a clump, and this is highly annoying and very damaging! I've had just enough of this product. Never again, I'm afraid.

I do not like this product. It was way too thin and runny when applying to hair. It also left my hair frizzy with major curl shrinkage. Will never use this product again.

Hair type: mixed, 3C/4A. I like the As I Am line very much and the CoWash & Double Butter Cream are my staples. The Leave-In is decent, does the job, but I like Kinky Curly's Knot Today a lot better. It was good, but KC was better IMHO.

I like that it's light because my hair gets weighed down easily, being low porosity and fine, it happens a LOT, but it does nothing for my hair. My hair stays very frizzy after applying it as if I didn't put anything in it at all. And the As I Am moisture milk was too heavy. Ugh. I continue the never ending quest for my ideal products :(

I like it. My 3c/4a hair tolerates it. Most of the time I can get away with not sealing my hair if I'm using a good leave- in/moisturizer. I always have to add a butter on top of this leave-in. It's a good moisturizer for the price point. Great ingredients.

I like this leave in conditioner on my 4a coily hair and have found it to be most effective when I use it on soaking wet hair. When I use my water spray on my sections my hair is easier to comb. I use just a small amount and distribute it through my entire hair, then water down each section and add more conditioner if necessary. So far I have not experienced any flaking and I like that about this product.

This product makes my hair so soft and it smells yummy too, like candy. But its not really strong and it doesn't linger a long time in your hair. I use this after I apply the coconut cowash and conditioner, any kind that I have at the time. I just put about 4 sqeezes in my hair and work it throughout my hair and thats it.

Use this after the cleansing pudding (CP is a little more of a deep clean for my hair) and it works amazingly (As do all the products in this line). Also tried it as a "pick me up", to refresh my curls, and it works like magic. Full, soft, controlled, nothing short of great! I am totally sold on this whole line! Smells pretty great too......

I have used this product once a week for the last 3 weeks... and I love it. My hair is so soft afterwards and a little goes a long way. Before I was using Giovanni Leave-in-Direct for the last few months and was never satisfied with how my hair felt after using it, my hair just felt "funny" afterwards, kinda dry. With AS I AM I am 100% satified with the results. I will continue to use till the bottle is gone, to make sure these first few times I didn't just get lucky. I also noticed that the softness of my hair last days longer. My wash and gos now feel nice and soft with the look I want but not all crunchiness.

I was really surprised how happy I am with the results. I use a shampoo a couple of time a week, the Elucence conditioner. Then I follow it up with As I Am Leave-In Conditioner. I am not sure it is quite a good as the Kinky Curly Knot today leave in, but its been nice to have a different leave in with a different smell. I was getting tired of the same old smell day after day.
I think it provides good detangling power or good slip. I also thing on my really fine 3c hair that I don't see a lot of breakage.
Now I would mention that having a good conditioner prior to using this as a leave in is key. This will help with slip and moisture, but if regular conditioner doesn't work, this won't fix lack of conditioning from the regular conditioner.

Really like this product! I squeeze it into a spray bottle and dilute for my 3B hair. Works GREAT as a second day styler or giving my curls some spring after being in the dry heat all day. Works best on wet/damp hair to dry, not best for getting hair slip or a pudding kind of look. This product is all about moisture! Definitely buying more when I run out!

Yes. It as some slip and detangling properties. BUT when my hair dried it WAS dry as straw. It didn't play well with my stylers as it sucked ALL of the moisture out of my hair. This stuff is evil. Going back to Sally's for a refund.

In L.O.V.E w/ this leave in. It is definitely my staple product. It definintely has a great smell and leaves my hair very soft and manageable. I won't say that it's a detangler but it makes up for that in ingredients. I'm a mix between 3c and 4b and my hair thanks me for it

I recently tried this leave-in after going through a number of others that my hair didn't respond well to: including KKNT and Kimmaytube's leave-in concoction. Now I will say that after reading "Curly Like Me" and girlfriend giving me the breakdown of what all those chemicals on the back on the bottle mean, I added some glyercin (for added slip to my highly textured hair). My hair is very mositurized to the point that I've forgotten my usually daily moisturizer spray. Definitely hooked.

I am a 4a with a TWA and I liked this product. I used it after using the coconut cowash product and it faired well. I actually like it better than the Knot Today by Kinky Curly. It left my hair hydrated and I loved that fact that there was no film left on my hair. I ended up putting the sample of it in my spray bottle with some water and vegetable glycerin. This is now my every day conditioner. My hair feels like cotton!

Nice leave-in with tons of moisture; hair feels soft and frizz is tamed. It has a light scent, plenty of slip. I've applied oil and water-based styling products over this leave-in with excellent results. I now prefer this over it's sister-company leave-in by KeraCare Natural Textures; the formulation is very similar but As I Am can be purchased on the ground at several retailers.

Read reviews on the As I Am products and wanted to give them a try, this was the first product I tried... I WAS SOLD!!! I gave this product 4 out of 5 stars because I wish it was a tad bit thicker! I was really excited to get this product thinking it may be similar to kinky curly knot today so may be I could save a little money. .but the problem is on the website it says in the ingredients that it does not have glycerin which I don't like to use at all so that's the reason I bought it but when I got the bottle today and looked and the ingredients it says it has glycerin in it. .so I don't know if I will be even using this product

I really like this leave-in conditioner. It moisturizing and fights the dreaded frizz from the get go. Any styling product over it works well. The only reason I am not giving a 5 is that it is almost too much moisture. You have to be really careful with my curl type to get it right. Too much and the curls are doomed to droop.

This is the best leave in I have every tried and so much better than KCKT!! By using this after washing my hair with the cleansing pudding, all I need to apply is curling custard (I use Komaza Coconut Curling Custard) to my hair to style (which cut down my hair regime by more than half the products I used to use)!!! My hair is incredibly soft and I part air dried it/part diffused dried it and no frizz!!! This is also the first time I have not had white flakes or crunchy hair after applying curling custard to hair with a leave in. Highly recommend and will definitely repurchase. I can get 4 day hair by just misting with water and adding a bit more curling custard. Absolutely brilliant and I have FINALLY found my HG of leave in conditioners!

A really like this leave in. I applied it to my hair after I rinsed out the deep conditioner. I did not need to use alot at all!! Suprised the heck out of me! A quarter size amount for one half of my head. It felt amazing and my hair absorbed it nicely. It is a keeper as well!
-
5
Posted by fabisebien (Type 3a) on 03/17/2012
I love this! If you add a quarter size to a generous section of your hair (drenched-soaking wet hair leaves great results) and sleep on it, in the morning you'll have defined, soft curls that look shinny and hydrated. I just patted some more over my over night dry hair, a little water on my hands, and I was done! I didn't even add mousse or anything else, though I am thinking of buying something from the same brand to give it more texture, but that's just 'cause I'm used to it. If I someday, for some reason, run out of mousse I wont worry too much as long as I have this to back me up.

I live in India and have had a tough time finding a conditioner that works for my hair. Sure, you get many natural oils but they make my hair look extremely oily or dry out really quickly. I haven't even found products that are low poo and chemical free. Ayurveda just hasn't sorted itself for curly hair out here, as straight hair seems to be culturally acceptable way of being.
My hair really felt like hay and I didn't even feel motivated to take care of it.
My sister got me this conditioner and many more. My hair has transformed now from the bush of wires into a little mop of curls. It is simply amazing. I can see the difference in my locks and I don't even apply styling gel now. My hair is moisturized and soft- and more than anything, extremely hydrated... ;)

This is a really good leave-in. It has good slip and I actually have bounce in my curls. This is an overall great line. I will have to try the curl enhancing gel next but I don't know if it will compare with my Spiral Solutions enhancing gel, which I love, but so far I have been really happy with the products I have tried. This line works well with Spiral Solutions products. I have found that sometimes when I use products made especially for African American hair that it is too heavy but these are very light-weight products and they have a really nice smell.
