I use it as a deep conditioner and a leave-in. Great. No frizz, soft and well moisturized hair.

Love, love, love! This is my go-to conditioner for a wash and go! I also use it as a leave-in. I have used it as a rinse out conditioner, it always gives me consistent results.

This is a good daily conditioner for me. It made my dry low porosity hair feel soft and more moisturized. It had good slip, and im in love with the ingredients and the red labeling. I really like that the color of the label is a medium red color and I don't know why. Minus one star because the price is steep and it didnt do enough to make it to a full 5 stars. If i could, i would rate it a 3.5 because the mop top daily conditioner did way more for me for not much more money, the only reason i rarely use mop top is because of the protein in it. The protein makes my clumps skinnier and weird.

Great smell, I use it as a leave in. The only problem is that it doesn't really soak into my damaged ends like I'd hoped it would. but the rest of my hair is great.

This is my favorite daily conditioner I have tried. It took me a while to find a conditioner that gave my hair enough moisture without weighing it down. It has a nice coconut smell that doesn't overpower you. Leaves a lot of good slip in my hair and I can leave some in without my hair getting greasy.

I tried this a second time around. I don't like it, you definitely have to use a lot to get the job done but then it still doesn't get the job done. So I'm selling my unopened bottles. Sorry curl junkie this one is not for me.

I am a curl junkie junkie and I can't help but love everything that I purchase from the cj line. So I just ordered my 3rd bottle. But cj you have to start making bigger bottles.

This conditioner is good by itself but awesome mixed with coconut oil. I wish came in a bigger bottle because 12oz won't last because you have to use so much. $19 for a rinse out conditioner is a little too much. Curl rehab is excellent as a ro, dt and leave-in. The best thing about the rehab is you only need to use a small amount of product. So I think I'll stick with the rehab. But this one does deserve 5 stars for its ingredients. But I won't repurchase.

I have 3b but mostly 3C curly hair. This by far is the best leave in conditioner for my hair. I love the moisture it gives and retains. It has great slip which is super important. I think it's a bit pricey for the size and whish they made a larger options. Nonetheless, this is staple and a standard by which other leave in conditioners will be compared.

I hated it. I had to use so much conditioner to even get the comb through my hair and when my hair dried it was frizzy. It also stripped some of my hair color. I'm very disappointed. Especially since I paid 25.00 for it. I decided to use it as a no-poo so I washed my hair with it...no shampoo. The results were still horrible.

Mmmh the smell and slip of this conditioner is superb, I find it very hard to find condtioners with good slip but CJ A&O does the trick for my 3a/3b bleached hair. I love the light coconut smell and it leaves my curls bouncy and hydrated just what hair needs. It seems like I found another CJ product which will become one of my staple products. I was able to order at Curlmart this time due to visit USA but would be easier to order in Europe so hope CJ will come back on this market soon. Delivery and service from Curlmart was really fast and the customer service was very kind in helping me out.

I really am a type 2c hair. I discovered the type 2c change after I had properly moisturized my hair. This is the main moisturizer I use. I currently use this as a co-wash, (leave-in, at times), and alternating deep treatment! My curls are soft, moist, and low frizz on frizzy forecast days just using this alone. When I add CJ CIAB, I have NO frizz on those days, even in the hot, humid NE Ohio summer! The fragrance is light and nice! When I pre-pooed with coconut oil yesterday (the first time I've pre-pooed or used straight coconut oil), this was enough to cleanse the oil treatment from my hair (I did apply twice, but will try just one application next time since there was no oil build up yesterday). LOVE THIS!!

I had a lot of expectations with this conditioner. Based on the ingredients, I thought this would be very moisturizing. I think it was! The moment I put it on my hair I was like omg.... I'm feeling butter... It was THAT soft! It detangled very well and I really enjoyed how it felt after I rinsed the conditioner out. However, the reason I gave this product 3 stars is because of the smell... it smells literally like hydrogen peroxide! It doesn't smell too bad in the bottle, but once I squeezed it out, smelling it made me feel nauseous and gave me a headache. I won't be repurchasing this product sadly. I wish the smell was better, because I REALLY love how this makes my hair feel! Oh well.. :( I have previously used the curl assurance smoothing conditioner by curl junkie, and I think this one is more moisturizing, but smoothing definitely smells a lot better.

This is my new Holy Grail as I now see I am protein sensitive. I use this on top of my glycerine free gel and my curls look and feel thoroughly moisturized ALL DAY. Not really a fan of the oil sealers because its just not enough moisture for me however sealing with this gives great results in any type of weather. And for you fellow New Yorkers, you can find this on the ground at RickysNYC on 14th St.

Hair stats: transitioning, MBL, 4Aish, low porosity, protein and AVJ sensitive
I recently realized that my hair doesn't care for products that contain a lot of AVJ. I wish I had known that BEFORE purchasing this conditioner. Another LP head swore by this stuff and since her product reviews have rarely steered me wrong, I decided to pick this one up to use as a leave in. It had okay slip, but nothing earth-shattering. What I did NOT like is how it made my hair feel after it airdried. My hair felt dry! Not only that, it was very dull looking and lacked any shine, softness or moisture. I was shocked that this conditioner did the exact opposite of what a lot of people loved about it! I actually like the Beauticurls leave-in (staple) a LOT better than this one. Will not repurchase.

This product was a waste of money. After rinsing it out of my hair, it did not leave it feeling soft and moisturized. Instead, my hair felt squeaky. Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship works much better than this.

Loved this conditioner. It added slip and moisture without having to use a lot. I had been trying different sample sets and this product was definitely a cut above the rest. My hair responded well to it instantly, and I could feel how soft and moisturized my hair was after. Love it. I have medium hair across the board, with 3C to 3B curls depending on the day.

Moisturizing, solid slip, pleasant smell, great ingredients. I needed to use a little more than I expected each time, so I went through it relatively quickly. I would put its performance on par with Shea Moisture's Restorative Conditioner, but, unfortunately for Curl Junkie, SM's product offers the same amount at about half the price. A good product, but not a good deal when you can replicate the performance, ingredient quality, and pleasant smell for so much less. (3a/b)

Love love love....I have thick high porosity coarse hair that doesn't alway hold moisture. I used this as a leave in conditioner and with my Bantu knot out this week and it's awesome. My hair is not only soft and moistorized when I am styling, but throughout the entire day as well. Really pay attention to what products your hair needs on curl junkies website because it's the truth! I'm looking forward to using more products from the curl junkie line!

I was unsure to try this bec my hair likes Hair Rules Ultra Conditioner, which I use both as a RO and deep conditioner (plastic conditioning cap for 20-30 min, appy a bit more and comb thru, then cold rinse), but had bought it in the same order, not knowing HRUC was to become my HG for normal conditionong. Well, this works wonderful as a daily RO conditioner, but I like it better as a deep conditioner, using it at I had used the HRUC above. My hair is even softer, shinier, and bouncier when using this after HRCC for my monthly deep conditioner. I did try it as a LIC too and it works well for my hair (Ohio winter conditions). Now I have 2 great products to work with for RO conditioning, deep conditioning, & LIC (HRLIC is also a great LIC & I use it for a refresher on second and subsequent days--see my review there).

This conditioner smells good, moisturizes very well, and has good slip. However, I will probably not repurchase because it's not very economical--it costs so much for a tiny 12 oz bottle, which is not okay for me because I go through conditioner REALLY quickly. And I can get other conditioners that have similar ingredients and are cheaper.

OMG!!! My hair just had an out of body experience!! I am a recent transplant to Humid Houston, TX and the products I used living on the East Coast no longer work out here. I was using Shea Moisture products and my hair was moisturized for 1 day maybe two. By the third day it was like straw. As soon as I put this conditioner in my hair I felt immediate results. I threw on a plastic cap for 15 mins than rinsed it out. The peppermint tingled and made my scalp feel great!! The slip was excellent & I only needed to use a small amount. I followed this with the Curl Assurance Smoothing lotion. My husband and teenage son even complimented me on my hair and the smell. Looks like I found a Winner. I need it to come in a Super Size.

This is one of Curl Junkie's more affordable products. Most of the products offered at CurlMart are in 8 oz sizes. I purchased this 3 years ago from CurlMart to replace Kinky-Curly Knot Today leave-in conditioner. The bottle lasted one year for me. This conditioner is light weight but very moisturizing. It blends well with the stylers I use (LottaBody setting lotion, Kinky-Curly Curling Custard, Garnier Pure Clean, Kiss My Face Upper Management & EcoStyler gels). My dense, low porosity hair absorbed this conditioner. It did not build up between weekly shampoos. I also liked that the conditioner is glycerin-free; no flaking or sticky feel. It has a decent amount of slip for detangling wet hair. I left it on for 10 mins before combing. I think the Curl Junkie Smoothing Lotion is better for that purpose. Overall, it worked for me but I would not repurchase. Purchasing this conditioner was not cost effective as my hair got longer. I found several companies that offer great conditioners in large (16+ oz) sizes (Allaffia Everyday Shea & Everyday Coconut conditioners, Tressemme Naturals, Darcy's Botanicals & Oyin Handmade)

I was going through my ever growing stash of products looking for something to use for a deep conditioner, a moisturizer without glycerin, silicone or protein (my hair HATES them) and came across this. I can't use this on a regular basis, but I thought, "why not". I used a clarify-er by AG Hair first then put this on and my heat cap for 45 minutes. WOW! Put the DevaCurl styler on as usual and great clumping curls with no frizz. I may just have found my once weekly deep conditioning treatment.

LOVE this as a LEAVE-IN! Originally ordered a different conditioner but curlmart f'd up my order (which I forgive only because I've gotten sooo much use out of this product). This conditioner works wonders as a leave-in. It provides tuns of moisture, some weight especially when paired with an oil, definition AND hold! However it is mediocre when rinsed out and used as a conditioner. Really like!

This conditioner is amazing. I love it! I could immediately feel the product hydrating, moisturizing and detangling my curls. I was able to easily finger comb my hair with product. It left my hair very soft and my curls were very defined. This will become a staple conditioner for me. Thanks Curl Junkie ;)

I'm really loving this conditioner. It leaves my hair hydrated, soft and manageable. I condition every day and shampoo every other or every third day. I really like this both on its own and after shampooing. I think I've found my new go-to conditioner. Just wish it wasn't so pricey.

I love this conditioner. It works well as a co-wash, and it gives me shiny, bouncy curls. Usually I'll massage it in to my hair, rinse it off with ice cold water, squeeze out a small amount in my palm and then scrunch it back in to my curls.
Minus one star for how long it lasts compared to the price. I go through a whole bottle in 2-3 weeks.

HG, love it, my hair can't live without it! My hair type is a mix of 2b, 2c, 3a, and a bit of 3b, it's on the fine side but is very dense, and normal porosity. This has the perfect amount of moisture and frizz control and it makes my hair unbelievable soft and shiny. And it smells deliciously coconutty. I just ordered 3 more bottles of this, please never discontinue it!

Not happy. This conditioner just doesn't cut it for me. I leave it on for 5 minutes in the shower, rinse and my hair literally feels no different. Even my hands feel dry.I might as well have not used anything. And the smell is very strong and sweet like piña coladas. I DO NOT want to walk around all day smelling like that! I also found i had to use a lot to get good coverage. And the shipping was really slow, took a week and a half. For the price and all the great reviews i expected far, far more.

I have a 4a/b mix of hair if I had to categorize it. I absolutely LOVE this conditioner as a leave in. I've also tried it as a rinse out, and it was also okay, but for me, it's a little too expensive to rinse down the drain. I must admit I had to play around with the amount that I use and the "wetness" of my hair. When I initially used it I thought what's the hype about, BUT as I continued to play around with it I quickly found out. For me it works best when my hair is freshly washed and "naked" and a little more wet then damp. It glides through my hair making it easy to detangle and super soft and prepped for the next step. This is definitely a repurchase, and if you find you don't like it, please PLEASE send me your bottle!! :)

I love this product as a rinse out conditioner. I do a lot of black and green tea rinses to control my shedding which can make your hair hard and dry without a good conditioner. This does the trick and I don't have to leave it in long to get the desired result! I like the light coconutty smell. The only reason I give it 4 curls is that it is a single purpose conditioner...but that is what the company intended it to be so its not a big problem. Will repurchase this one.

    Posted by nettad7 (Type 4a) on 07/27/2012

I like this product, but only as a rinse out conditioner. I don't know if Curlmart or Curl Junkie wrote the description and how to use it, but I don't think this should be recommended as a leave-in or for re-twisting. The bottle doesn't give directions to use it as a leave-in; only a rinse out. When I used it as a leave-in my hair was dull not shiny. I place some on my edges after I twisted, and then tied up my head. In the morning, I had some flakes on my edges, and my twist were so of hard. That's why I think this product should be rinsed out.
Companies should stop trying to make products multipurpose. When I finished my twist out, I used a little Argan oil to give it some shine and to make it a bit softer. The smell is not strong; it's a soft coconut-lime scent, but I could smell my hair throughout the rest of the day. Nice.

I have to update my review because this conditioner makes my hair super hard, and dry. I don't even want to use it as a co wash anymore. I tried it as a leave-in conditioner as well, but I was not pleased since it did not provide moisture or detangle my hair. This product has no slip.

I need to update my review. I ended up purchasing this despite the smell of the sample I received, because it does work really well on my hair as a RO (I leave it in the whole time I shower though). The bottle I just bought does not have that bad smell of the sample I received--this is much more coconutty. A vast improvement. I now love this!

This worked pretty well on my hair, but I cannot take the smell. I think it is supposed to smell like cilantro, but unfortunately it smells exactly like the stink bugs that have invaded this area of the country. Made me nauseous, which is unfortunate because it did work well after I let it sit for a few minutes before attempting to detangle (slip was not immediate but did kick in fairly quickly).

This stuff made my hair dry and frizzy. I don't know if it was the oils in that were too heavy for my hair. My hair isn't porous at all and it felt like it sat on top. It smelled it. I wish it worked for me so my hair could have that wonderful smell.

This conditioner did encourage my curls, but they also felt exceptionally crispy and looked dry (lacking shine, somewhat, but not in a processed dry way). And, the ultimate test: hair felt parched at the nape of my neck too (where stylers can't be to blame). Just not enough moisture for my mega-thirsty curls.

I ordered a sample of this and I'm glad that I didn't buy the full size version. This product was extremely disappointing for me. While the product had great slip and a wonderful smell it left soooooo much build-up in my hair. I never have a problem with build-up but this product left so much of it that I'm probably going to use a clarifying shampoo in a few hours just to make sure that I get all of this conditoner out. Nothing less attractive than coming through your hair and seeing little white flecks. Threw this sample straight in the trash.

Super slip, incredible smell (I cannot use yucky smelling products, no matter how good they say they are), and my curls are so soft and super well formed, with noooo frizz at all. I am totally sold! This is my MUST HAVE product!!!! My hair immediately reacts to this uber moisturizing conditioner. I use it as a leave-in/base for pretty much every type of style I do; wash-n-gos, braid outs, twist outs, etc.. This is the one product that I've used faithfully and consistently until the bottle was empty!!!

This conditioner is the only thing that stopped me from throwing my barely used KCCC in the garbage! OMG! This plus KCCC gurantees me fabulous, multiple day hair. I also get great results using this under Mixed Chicks as a styler.

Definitely feel this is a multiple styler friendly product for those of you who like to use a LI + a sealer before your styler of choice.

Normally I am the first person to step forward to point out how wonderful Curl Junkie is, but this conditioner does not do it for my hair. It did not leave it conditioned; in fact, it left it a frizzy mess. I normally diffuse, but I didn't dare with my hair as dry as it felt after I got out of the shower. I used it with the Daily Fix, and usually that works for me, but this product left me high and dry.

I wanted to love this conditioner so much but alas, it was not meant to be. I don't know if it's because it's a lighter condish or if my hair just didn't like the formula or what. When I used this conditioner, my hair would not form as good as waves for some reason.

Too light. Curl Junkie's Curl Assurance Smoothing Conditioner has more slip, detangles easily, tried this on its own and I had to use so much to detangle. Now, I'm using this with the Curl Assurance Smoothing Conditioner just so I don't waste $. Never will purchase again.

(I actually have a mix of 2b, 2c, and 3a curls.) I decided to give this a shot because my hair was feeling really parched and I wanted to try something that would give me the moisture I needed without weighing my hair down or irritating my scalp. I didn't think I'd find anything better than Jessie Curl's conditioners, but this blows Too Shea away. It's restored the moisture to my hair and leaves it feeling super soft. I am so happy that I tried this conditioner because it really is awesome. Because of this and the Daily Fix, I'm now a Curl Junkie convert! I highly recommend this conditioner for curly hair that's frizz-prone and craves moisture.

This condish is fabulous for my black/white/ American Indian hair. It is the only product that has put moisture back into my hair since I fried it with Feria haircolor a few weeks ago. I still don't know for sure what my hair type is...I have tons of baby-fine textured, wavy/curly, fragile, nearly waist-length multi-racial hair. It tangles into mats and micro-knots and nothing combats my frizz. I try to avoid protein conditioners like the plague, as they make my hair feel stiff, dry, and straw-like. Basically, 95% of products do not work on my hair at all, and sometimes leave it in worse condition than before.
So I was totally fried, okay? So bad that I was embarassed to go to work everyday. I was looking in desperation for something to help bring my hair back to normal after the color disaster. I spent a ton of money over the last month....Ouidad, Nexxus Pro-Mend, Fekkai Advanced Shea, you name it. None of them helped. I decided to try something totally new, and came across this. I used it yesterday and all i can say is WOW!!! My hair is soft and touchable again! It's shiny and dries into beautiful, bouncy, rippling ribbons. My curls and waves are defined and separated, rather than drying into a mass of coarse frizz. I combed thru it with ease, both wet and dry. My hair feels like hair again, whereas before it still felt fried and damaged while it was wet and freshly conditioned. My porosity was way out-of-whack, but Beauticurls totally fixed all that. And being as I have lots of hair, it's ususally impossible to distribute product evenly throughout, so I end up using tons of conditioner. But not with this. I don't have to use very much at all, and i can also use a dollop as a leave-in.
I know this is a rather long reveiw, but I cannot say enough good things about Beauticurls, and I want to make sure ya'll know how desperate I was to find something that worked. I swear, if it helped my hair, it will help anyone's. All my protein-sensitive sisters....this is the product for you!!! I'm betting that this will be an HG condish for bi- and multi-racial hair. Despite the price, I will be purchasing CJ Beauticurls again!
