I love this shapoo! I just tried it for the first time, and love the coconut smell. I have curly whirly type hair, and the smell is lovely, and leaves my hair really clean, soft, and shiny.

Since I love the Argan & Olive oil Conditioner from Curl Junkie, I decided to try the shampoo as well. Unfortunately this product does not do the trick for me at all, and leaves my hair feeling stripped and tangled.
I did just notice that it looks like my bottle has a layer of milkier/thicker shampoo in the bottom, so it might be a good idea to shake it before use.

Works just like its name. Gentle cleansing. My hair felt clean and not extremely dry. I have two daughters we have 3 different hair textures and it worked great on all of our hair

I used this several times and each time my hair is left super dry and squeaky clean, and it takes a full week before moisture is returned to my hair at an acceptable level. I now use it for hand soap since I never need my hair this clean. This product is for oily hair not dry hair types.

Nice sulfate-free shampoo. It cleansed well and didn't dry out my hair, but I've gotten similar results with other products. I could see myself repurchasing, but wouldn't necessarily call it a must-have.

Wow and Wow! Love this shampoo. My hair felt clean but moisturized at the same time. Not something that happens very often when I shampoo. Curl Junkie is always a winner for me.

Actually, this shampoo cleans better than you'd think (since it's labeled as "gentle"). I no longer use silicone products, however. I guess GCS wouldn't have worked as well for me as it did if I had silicone in my hair. BUT I was highly surprised and pleased when I realized it works fantastically well with KCCC!--which is as finicky as anything. So I am throwing some love to CJ Gentle Cleansing Shampoo. I also love the smell. +++++ all the way!

This shampoo is wonderful. Nice scent and it leaves my hair clean and soft and conditioned. My hair is very thin but with the curl junkie line my hair looks thicker and healthier and dare I say it, shinier? And after reading the other reviews, I realize I wasn't even shaking the bottle first so I'll try that next time!

I use this shampoo a couple of times a week and it's been wonderful for me. I agree that the new version is a big improvement over the old version. It smells wonderful and makes my hair feel clean, slightly conditioned, and healthy. It also gives my hair more body. I agree with a previous poster - you do need to shake the bottle well before you use it. That seems to thicken it up a little more and makes it suds a little more. I'm taking one star off only because I do have to use quiet a bit of it and I go through it pretty fast. Otherwise, it's awesome.

I am not in love with this, sadly. I usually don't use shampoo, but like to keep one on hand for times when I have build-up or just want a deep clean. I didn't feel like I got that at all with this product- I actually had to add some of the Daily Fix conditioner to really wash. As it doesn't do any heavy lifting, this might be a better bet for those who shampoo daily.

I absolutely love this shampoo, but I am surprised that they don't put the most important instruction on the label: SHAKE BEFORE USING!!! The product separates, and you get completely different results after shaking it.

THE perfect shampoo for curly hair! This is my #1 favorite shampoo. The new formulation is much better than the original for me. My hair is very dense. I could not get the older version distributed through my hair. This formulation is distributed better, however. And I love the coconut smell. :) ...I use this almost every day.

Awesome sulfate-free shampoo. It left my hair feeling clean and soft, not dry and stripped like regular shampoos. A little goes a long way. I have a feeling that the bottle will last me a long time. I previously used the daily fix but this shampoo gives more of a clean feel. Love it, will definitely become a staple product.

This stuff is great for my 3a hair that has been color-treated. I'm a product junkie, and I use maybe five styling products on my past the shoulders hair. I worry about getting all these products out when I shampoo. This shampoo lathers just a little, smells good, and is kind to my fine, coarse hair and it cleans well. Not squeaky clean, but just clean enough. I encourage you to try this shampoo. You'll love it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this shampoo. I was hesitant to buy since I thought it may be too drying for my 3a/3b fine, dry, porous corkscrew hair. I currently use the Daily Fix, and love it, but needed a little something more to cleanse my hair a bit better. This shampoo is amazing. My hair is clean, has body and my curls have spring again. No frizzies at all and it absolutely did not strip my hair . It has a consistency like Jessicurls Hair Cleansing Cream so it takes a bit to get used to. It is somewhat thin and produces a VERY slight foam (not too much at all, just right). It goes on easily and my hair felt clean and moisturized after. Smells great too...Kind of like coconut. HIGHLY recommend this to anyone thinking about purchasing. Excellent product.
