3B/3C hair. Loving this product, really defined my curls and gave me good second day hair. Does not leave any white residue. Hair does not feel dry and crisp, my hair feels soft and looks moisturized, not sticky.

One word...DRYING...very drying. Has a very sticky consistancy, once you spread it on, it's gluey and as I stated in the other product in this line (quenched curls) the smell is HORRID, I don't know what's wrong with my nose that I'm the only reviewer that cannot take this rancid peach odor. I agree with other reviewer who said that it took a long time to get my hair to recover after using this. Hard to get off your hands also.
I DO like this lines COCONUT SUBLIME conditioner and the CASHMERE CURL (gel) works well on my wavy to boticelli like fine hair, it's supp to be more for elongating and frizz control (again PEACH scented *rolls eyes*) so I gag as I put it on, but it did have moisturizing qualities along with hold vs. this Gel les'c.
Gel les'c was just too hard on my type of hair and trying to get it out of my hair required dbl my usual amount of cleansing creme.

4a, 3c in the front.
It's very slippery and lightweight which I like. It feels like a syrum when I rub it between my palms although I know it's a gel. I co-washed, detangled with my Denman & I used it section by section on soaking wet hair, right after my KC Knot-Today. I put a little KCCC on top and diffused and my curls came out very defined, frizz-free and Shiny. I'd repurchase but if you're a thick haired 4, you're not going to get maximum definition by using this alone. You're going to need something heavier on top which is why it gets 4/5 stars for my hair.

Great smell. OK results. I prefer this over the PM Round Trip that my stylist uses on my hair in the salon.
I initially got a sampler and liked this product enough to purchase the full size. I definitely used this over a more substantial LI. My styling routine soon changed so I stopped using this, yet I've not thrown it out yet.

This product smelled wonderful, that is the only reason, I gave it a 1; however I am always looking for a product that I can put on my hair to revitlize m y curls without having to re-wash my hair and I thought this would do the trick, but I was highly dissapointed, towards the end of the, my hair was just a ball of frizz.

Average. Has a medium to soft hold so my hair isn't too crunchy (which I like) but the hold isn't enough. At least it doesn't dry my hair out, it's not sticky and it doesn't take 80 shampoos to wash it out. I'll give it some credit for that.
I'm sure it may have worked better too if the wind hadn't killed my hair...I'll use this up, but unless a miracle happens I don't think it's a rebuy.

I have 2c/3a fine hair and this product did nothing for my curls. My hair looked stringy and dry. I DO NOT like any of the CURLS line.

This gel didn't work on my hair, no matter how many different ways i apply it to my hair. It leaves it dry and frizzy and seems too soak out all the moisture! Maybe it's just my hair, but this so doesn't work!!! :(

This product does not have enough hold for wash-and-go's on my hair but it is great for twist-outs on dry hair (have not tried on wet hair yet). My hair has lots of sheen and is very soft with lots of movement (shoulder length hair). I wet my hair with the Curls Moisturizer (Target brand), finger comb, then apply the Gel-les`c and finally twist. I have gotten great results this way.

I thought I knew exactly what I was getting into with this product. I tried a sample a few months ago so I knew that this stuff was a soft/medium hold type product and I liked it. I bit the bullet and bought the full size product. I used the milkshake underneath it (which is a great detangler, don’t know why they don’t market it as such, but that’s another review). The product went on without any problems and when my hair dried I had nice bouncy, defined ringlets with lots of shrinkage. I also had a bit more poof and frizz, but that was to be expected. My results were very similar to conditioner only styling. I noticed as the day went on, my hair felt a little dry. I knew this product had glycerin in it and I’m sensitive to glycerin but it’s the 5th or 6th ingredient so I shrugged it off. Day one seemed okay… Today is day 2… Disaster! Though my hair still has defined ringlets (coupled with more frizz), it feels dry as the desert. I know that I’m glycerin sensitive and I live in dry Northern California, but DAYUM! My hair sounds like hay or dry leaves when I run my hands over it. Also, this stuff is a bit pricey for the end results. Why pay $25 for an 8 oz bottle when I can get the same results (minus the dryness) from a $12.99 32oz bottle of Giovanni SAS from TJ Maxx? If you are not glycerin sensitive and don’t mind the expensive, this may work for you. If you are glycerin sensitive, run like the wind from this one.

This worked really well for my hair type and I like all the nutrients packed in the bottle. It's okay.. but too expensive for my liking.

For me, this is great for days when I want a looser, softer curl pattern. It's totally non-crunchy and leaves my hair natural-looking, but without as much spring or volume as I tend to get with something like KCCC. It would probably work best for type 3 hair; I wouldn't recommend it for thicker, tighter curls because I don't think it would have enough hold. It's great for wavy looks, too.

My hair is always left soft with a medium hold, not crunchy at all. The curls are well-defined, and they last for 3-4 days. This is the only CURLS product that works for me.

(3c, fine, med/thin, med porosity.) Oh, I love love love this product! I didn't expect too, because I never really loved gels or serums very much before - I was more of a curl cream girl. When I saw this, I thought it might be sticky and gloopy. But this is just the *best* curly product I've tried, and I think I can finally give up my search for new products. I first apply a small amount of leave-in conditioner (as recommended - I haven't yet tried it with the Curls moisturizer, just used my DevaCare OC that I already had), and then I apply a medium amount of Gel-les'c. That's it. It makes my curls shiny, beautiful, well-defined but not sticky or crunchy, they stay well-defined all day (no frizz), they hang and clump beautifully. Just everything I could want in a product! Well, except for the price. Ouch. But I guess I'm willing to pay for it, since I can now stop trying zillions of other new products. And I will be trying the Curly Q version, as well as looking out for whether they introduce a similar product in the cheaper "Curls for Target" line.

Alone it fails on all counts, but if you're looking for a serum to bust frizz then this is totally it. Put it over after applying your main stylers and then its magic. buy to kiddie version. It's the same thing but cheaper.

I really love this product. I have thick coily hair 4b and it does an amazing job enhancing my curls. I have learned that a little goes a long way and it is best to put on your hair when it is fairly wet. The much of this product will make your hair crunchy. The product will last a long time if you use it properly. I add it to my hair after I've sprizted my hair with infusim23 mixed with water and olive oil. The produt is great for the summer.

I think my hair is too thick for this product to work effectively. The smell is nice and the consistency of the product made me think it would give my hair more slip. However, after letting my hair dry, I felt the need to apply other products to get the right look and feel I desired.

It seems like everyone loves this but it didnt work for me. Maybe its not for the 3c hair range. It did absolutely nothing.
I did like the consistency(non sticky-light feeling) and it smells good. Overall this was a complete waste of money. Also there is very little product in the bottle for the price.

3c/4a. I absolutely love this product. I first apply the Quenched Curls moisturizer, then finish my hair with a small amount of the Gel-les'c. My hair is shiny and well-defined all day. It provides medium hold with no crunch or hardness unless you use way too much. I use the whole line of CURLS products as suggested and my is in excellent condition. I was a product junkie before using CURLS. I won't waste my money anything else. It's well worth the price because you only need a small amount to get the best results. My hair is short and 1 bottle lasts me about 1 1/2 to 2 months.

Absolutely Dreadful. This product dried my natural 2c/3c/4a hair out so bad that it took what seemed like forever to restore it. My hair was so dry, tangled and brittle when I used very little of this product (1 pump per side) with the Curls Quencher.

I'm fairly new to CG...3 months. Lately I've been getting frustrated and really eyeing my old silicone shine products. I used my sample yesterday and can't believe what a great job it did. No frizz or dryness, even 2nd day. It seems a little pricey, but it worked great for me!

I don't like this at all. I really would've done better with a 99 cent gel. I used it over a leave-in conditoner...my hair felt dry, had no definition, was frizzy. No good results.
But I'm giving it 2 curls because perhaps I didn't apply it correctly, or maybe I didn't use it with the products I should've used with it.
Don't waste your money!! I got a free sample of it, so thankfully none of my money was spent.
One more thing I want to add: Maybe this works better for 3c-4b curlies, but for my 3amedium-thick hair it did nothing.

I use this as a serum. It is the last thing I scrunch in before I diffuse. It allowed me to use any product I wanted all summer. Regardless of the dewpoints - this keeps the frizz away.

Gave me great curls. Its very light and when you apply it to your hair the product detangles your hair as it glides through. I love it!
