On the fence. I'm used to a wash, condition, leave in, shake and go. To get all the befits of this product, it takes too much work. Results was shiny, healthy looking hair, no real frizz to speak of, but did gain puffy ness during rainy days. One star for the work and the waiting hours for my hair to air dry.

I liked it, I liked it! Worked great for me this week, sticky humidity and all. I used it along with a leave-in conditioner before and a little hair gel/cream after. A winning trio!

I love this product! Years of searching, this one will stay. It really keeps frizz away. Dries a little stiff but some scrunching and its very soft.

Not really a fan. Didn't do much for my curls at all. Don't love the feel of it. Not worth the expensive price tag.

This keeps definition in my hair like no other product. I use it as a "leave-in" conditioner and I apply my styling products afterward. After I apply my hair immediately falls into curls, making it much easier when I apply gel or cream. Frizz stays away for days, no matter how confused they are by dew points.

Love this product and how much it doesn't flatten or weigh down my fine 3a/low porosity curls. I either use alone or combine with other products but you can't be disappointed. This stuff works!

Probably one of my all time favourite hair products - I went ahead and purchased two giant bottles of it because I love it that much. First of all, its water-based which is awesome because it is light and doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky or looking stuck together and best of all it is easily reactivated with a light mist of water. I often rejuvenate my curls in between washes with my spray bottle. I also find it quite moisturizing and it goes on over any product I use it with. Would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for definition without hair being weighed down.

Excellent product for my very thick course 3a/b color treated medium length hair. It can be a little drying in winter because of the lack of moisture in the air so try it with a moisturizing conditioner & a leave-in. I use Jessicurl Too Shea moisturizing conditioner then Kinky-Curly Knot Today leave-in and it works very well. I live in Florida so using it in humid weather is great. It is important to make sure the hair is soaking wet and that enough product is applied or you may end up with frizz. I have combo 2c-3a thin hair. Its funny how everyones hair can react to different products!!! This product is worth a try. A little goes far but others have said play with the amount. I found this prouct to tighten up my hair and define my curls!!! My hair is thin so it did not weigh it down or create build up. Im gonna try it with the kinky custard since others are suggesting it.

My hair is more of an in between type, so I bought this to see if it would work. I watched the demo and followed the instructions. My hair still frizzed up and did not have controlled looking curls at all. I combined it with one of the Jessicurl products, and that helped a bit. I am going to use up the rest but won't buy again.

Hands down the best product for forming "clumped" curls and as a leave-in conditioner...if you use it correctly. Finding the right amount to use on my hair was tricky for the first couple of uses, but I figured out that a small amount goes a long way. I use about a quarter size for my hair. This product doesn't do much when it comes to taming frizz, so I use this product in conjunction with kinky curly curly custard (a LITTLE amount, of course). Don't forget to use essential oils!

I was not impressed with this product. Weighed my hair down immensely. I read the reviews before purchasing and thought this would really help my frizz instead it left my hair very flat. Seemed to dry my hair out more. What a waste of money.

This stuff is amazing! I use it in conjunction with kinky curly curling custard. I love how it makes my hair shiny and smooths frizz. For some reason it also helps my hair dry faster. So I need to work quickly when styling my hair once I put this in. But use caution a little goes a long way!

I use this on top of devacurl light defining gel just to give it a little extra oomph. I spread a quarter size amount throughout my hair after applying the gel and it does the trick! It gives me more definition without going overboard.

You could definitely not overuse this product but you could definitely under use. Lesson that I'm still learning... I have read a lot of negative reviews regarding the smell but to me I don't smell anything. I definitely see my curls becoming tighter (how they use to be before my dryness) so every 4 or 5 days I will wash my my hair and put more Curl Keeper than the last. So fingers crossed that it will be zero frizz. I will say that it def has calm down my frizziness just not completely but like I said that is because I need to be using more product, which I am learning.

Unfortunately, I did not love this at all. I wanted to.. as I read the many great reviews and I was looking for something to help my hair "hold" my curls longer throughout the day, but this was just too heavy on my hair. It did not allow for my hair to have any volume. I have Type 3C hair.. a lot of hair but very thin. And this just did not work. Will not be re-purchasing.

I dont really like this product. I Have really frizzy, dry, 2a hair and i bought this because of the reviews and because people said they liked to cocktail this with other products. when i first used this i was AMAZED by how much it reduced frizz for me, but i also noticed that it took away a good amount of definition and volume too. what i also do not like about it is that it is really expensive and you need A LOT of it to get it to work well. i ordered the 8 ounce bottle and it only lasted me 5 washes, and that can get expensive really quickly, i will not repurchase.

It's a good gel for spring and fall. My hair is glycerin sensitive so I must avoid it in the summer / winter. The cast it makes is quite strong which would help if fighting frizz is a major concern. My hair is very fine and sometimes I find the cast too strong so it makes my hair lie strangely near my scalp.

I've never felt particularly inclined to rate any of the dozens and dozens of products I've tried but this one was just outstanding! My hair is so fine and unpredictable I have never, EVER found a product that can keep the frizz at bay but as soon as I added this to my hair routine it suddenly disappeared! I'm so amazed and so, so happy to finally be able to see my curls without a halo of frizz! I co-wash, then condition, add a leave in, followed by this before a gel and it's like magic! Curl Keeper, where have you been all my life??

i have only been using this for a week but so far I like it. definetly cuts down on frizz- I have thick wavy hair that tends to poof up when dry, I am experimenting with adding a stronger hold gel with the curl keeper as I don't feel that the curl keeper alone keeps the poofiness down enough. After co-washing, I use CJCCC and then curl keeper- now trying additional gel.

I cannot believe I am actually considering converting wholesale to this product. For years, I've depended on my cocktail: Bumble and Bumble Leave-In, Bumble and Bumble Grooming Creme, Kerastase Oleo-Relax Slim, and then working in Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Calming Creme in via the twisting method. I have proclaimed high and low, hither and yon that the Calming Creme changed my life--and, truly, it did. But this Curl Keeper stuff is, I am shocked to say, a little bit better (and a little bit cheaper too). In particular, I note a similar level of curl definition with Curl Keeper as with Calming Creme, but more shine and, amazingly, far fewer of those little renegade hairs that cause that frizz halo thing around the roots. I'm still using the other three components of my cocktail, and my hair is extremely soft. A woman at a schmancy cosmetics store told me yesterday that it looked like I had no product in it at all--just like I'm effortlessly blessed with frizz-free ringlets. High praise, no?

This is just ok for my curls. It works for a while, then I have a headful of fried out frizz. I will keep it to try in the winter months. For the humid summers in Memphis, it is not a keeper! I used it with a LI and then the Curl Keeper and a gel over the that.... no luck... tried it without the LI and without the gel... still no luck... it will stay in my stash to try again some other day.... Growing out my hair with level 3B curl so I can go natural, I have been experimenting with product as I turn to the net to find other curly's advice on products. I have been experimenting with Curl Keeper since May - how much to use, what else I may need to use it with, etc.
I find that it does not provide the hold that I need, so I added gel only to find that it leaves my hair with a crunchy feeling, and a dull look vs. shiny. The long and short of my experiment with product on what works for my curl is this: AG Recoil + Curl Keeper. My routine: On a Sunday for example I wash my hair in the evening and use AG Recoil and twist curl method to let it air dry before bed. In the morning when I wake up looking like the lion king, I moisten my hair and add some Curl Keeper + diffuser and voila - curls that get me compliments on my hair. Following this routine, day 2 curls on Tuesday are even better. I next wash my hair on Wednesday evening and I'm able to make it through the work week with very minimal hair difficulty during the week.
I see potential in this product. For me however, it is NOT a stand alone product and seems to work better in combination with other product.

This product is just o.k. I am disappointed. I have heard so many good things about this product. I really didn't notice much difference with frizz when using this product. I used it after my leave in and before gel product. Maybe I am not using correctly. My hair was pretty wet. My hair is very thick and between 3a-3b curls. I would take any suggestions on usage of this product.

I love this product. My hair is frizz free and it feels clean. The only reason for not giving 5 curls to this product is that I realized that I needed more moisture in my hair. I found out that it works great when I apply it with AG Recoil Curl Activator.

I'm pretty impressed with the curl keeper. I use it with the gel and it works great. My hair stays curly without being frizzy or stiff. Definitely recommend pairing the curl keeper with the gel so your hair stays curly and doesn't get frizzy, depending on the weather your in.

At first I wasn't crazy about Curl Keeper, since I initially tried using it alone. Eventually I tried combining it with other products (usually AG Cosmetics Re:coil) and it definitely helps extend how long my hair looks nice before I have to style it again. This product has become a staple of my routine!

I really like this product. It took me a little while to figure out how much I needed to use to see results but once I figured that out I really began to like this product for frizz reduction. I use this product daily to reduce frizz after my leave in and before a gel. I couldn't bring myself to give it 5 curls though because I have to use SO much to see results. I will probably re-purchase it but I'm going to experiment with some other similar products before I commit to the big bottle.

Curl Keeper is a Hall of Fame product for a reason. It works and it works well. I have long, fine 2C hair and this is the perfect base to my daily hair styling regimen. Like some other reviewers have mentioned, when I first started using this product I thought it wasn't working. But it turns out I just wasn't using enough product. Once I figured out the right amount of product to use, the results were immediately noticeable. My curls were frizz-free the entire day. I am knocking one curl off for the price, but one bottle has lasted me for several months. I would recommend this product to anyone with 2C hair like me.

This is one product that just didn't do it for me. I have very fine hair that is prone to frizz and I noticed no difference when using this product versus not using this product. I do occasionally use it to "refresh" curls during the middle of the day or to "scrunch out the crunch", but using it during the styling process, like combined or underneath a gel doesn't work well for me.

One of my HG products. I use this over my leave in, under a curl enhancer and then a gel on top. This really helps a lot with frizz, i have never tried it alone, don't think it would have enough hold for me, but its a wonderful addition to my hair routine. The only down side to me is the smell, it has a slight plasticy kind of scent to it, but the scent fades rather quickly, I just wish it had a better scent.

(3B-3C hair) I'll admit, when I initially used this product, by dispensing it on top of my hair with my hands, I did not like it and still battled with frizz. However, once I began to use it in combination with a wide toothed comb (in order to dispense it better) it began to work so well and I do not deal with frizz during the day!! I love this product!

I've tried using a little, I've tried using a lot, but it just isn't working for me. It's definitely too expensive a product to have to use more than a tablespoon each time.

And my hair even looks great the next day without doing anything additional. A little goes a long way, so it's a good value, too. I've always had to choose between soft, frizzy, big hair or curly, hard and crunchy hair. But with this product my hair is curly and soft.

It's not bad... like, awful. But, it's weird. I just kinda covered it up, no one said anything about it when I went out, but still. Makes me think twice before I use it. But it's nice because traditional hairspray just does weird things to my hair.

I think this product is a bit confusing because it is listed under leave in conditioner. This product is a sealer that is used as the last step. At least that is how I have had the most success. I use a good conditioner, sometimes leave in, other times rinse out, then a gel, then Curl Keeper. It works great this way. Sometimes, if I tie my hair up the right way, I can do all this at night and still have fresh curls in the morning. Curl Keeper is a product I do not want to be without!

I've reviewed Curl Keeper before, but I'm revising my review because I have a new found appreciation for it. I use Curl Keeper as a leave in along with my other styling products. I've been using it for almost a year now, but about a month ago I started thinking that maybe I could find something better. Well, in the 3 weeks I have been without Curl Keeper I've tried 4 other leave-in products, all with mediocre results. Today I pulled out my small bottle of Curl Keeper from my travel bag because I have a meeting after work today and I need my hair to cooperate. Yes, Curl Keeper leaves a lot of crunch in my hair once it dries, but after a quick scrunch to get rid of that, my curls are perfect. Well-defined, no frizz at all, and I know that when I go to my dinner meeting tonight, my hair will still look as good as it does right now. Curl Keeper is back on my list of go-to products.

I don't understand this product. When I purchased it I thought it was a styler but now I think it is more like a "treatment for frizzy hair". I think you apply this product before you use your styler. It's ok...I think it dries my hair and makes my ends tangled.

I wish I could give this 10 stars! I have never in my life been so happy with a hair product as I am with Curl Keeper and I have definitely found my holy grail. I've been following the CG routine for about 5 months now, and while I've definitely seen a significant improvement in my hair, I wasn't truly happy with it. I'd been having more bad days than good, and I had no idea why or what to do to fix it. Enter Curl Keeper. I've been using about 2 quarter size puddles over Giovanni Direct Leave-In and drying my hair partway with a bowl diffuser, and I've gotten consistently amazing, I-can't-stop-looking-in-the-mirror hair! It gives me really nice definition, softness, and bounce with no frizz. Other products have given me a sticky, crunchy, gunky feeling, and by the end of the day my hair was frizzy and feeling like straw. Not with Curl Keeper. My hair actually feels natural and soft, but with no frizz. I've even been able to achieve second day hair that doesn't have me clamoring for a hair tie. I am so in love with this miracle product, and to me it's worth every penny.

I got a really nice well-defined bantu knot out with curl keeper. It dissolved well when I applied it and felt really light, that is, I didn't "feel" it at all, which was nice. I was super pleased with the results. My hair was already well moisturized underneath, but CK didn't dry out my hair, instead my hair stayed moisturized and soft, but with really nice curl definition. I didn't have to use much of it either. Good stuff!

excellent product for thin, wavy-curly hair. it did not weigh my hairtype down (thanks to the ingredients list being really light!) and its also not strongly infused with a certain smell, so it is okay for those who are hypoallergenic. it does define curls as stated, but I found myself using almost a quarter of the bottle every three days to get some sort of spiriling. it is not sticky, and I don't necessarily think that it made my hair any shinier.... overall this product is great. It lost a star because it cannot stay in the hair for more than 2 days or your hair becomes flatmatted and the bottom becomes all tangled (i got masses of my curles tangled and matted) ugh. so its not great in keeping your hair from becoming tangled....

I used this products and got amazing results my hair for the first time in years was gorgeous! Unfortunately for me it burned my scalp and the itching this product caused drove me crazy... Won't be using again! Also after 6 hours I had to wash it out due to the intense itching and burning and my hair felt YAK even after shampoo and conditioner, so on that basis I would not recommend. Back to the search for a good curling product for me:(

Ok this is a HG for me. Love it - can't go wo it. It's kinky curly knot today then curl keeper then AG recoil then a gel. Perfect hair! I know too many products- but this combo gives me3-4 day hair- which I need!

I just tried this from a sample. Amazing! A truly unique product. My curls feel so light and bouncy and I didn't have to put a lot of effort into styling. I hope so much that I can get 2nd day hair out of this. I will definitely purchase it. I wonder how it works in high dews - can't wait to try it this summer. My curls are very shiny.

This is a wonderful product for my thick wavy/curly hair. I detangle with Kinky-Curly Knot Today and then wrap my hair in a microfiber towel. Next I apply an ample amount of Curl Keeper (about two palm fulls) finger combing it through my hair making sure that it is evenly distrubuted along the entire hair shaft. Last I scrunch in Re:coil and air dry. Once my hair is dry I scrunch out the stiffness and am left with soft well defined curls.

I tried to love this stuff. I really did. I even like the scent. I have gone through two bottles trying it alone and with different products. It did nothing for my 3b/3c curls. My daughter has looser curls that don;t need as much frizz control as mine and it works okay on hers but still not great.

i am a mix from 2a-3c curls and i can't believe the HOLD of this product... I use this underneath any of my regular style products (KCNT, KCCC, devacurl angel, ect) and it helps with frizz! I noticed the difference immediatey after my hair was dried. I got compliments from my boyfriend and his family the day i used it. i bought the 3.8 oz first and soon the next day i had a gut feeling and purchased the bigger size (8oz). IM GLAD I DID!!! this stuff is truely a HOLY GRAIL!!!

I tried this years ago and loved it. Then, being fickle, I started trying loads of other products, including Diva, Curl Junkie and more. I found this in the back of my drawer this morning and gave it another whirl.

Why did I bother spending money on all the other products? This works great for my curls and is so light-weight. My hair is now mostly gray (originally blonde, now colored blonde again) with 3a/b ringlets. The problem I have is that while my ringlets are great and I have a lot of hair, it's very fine. Many products weigh down my hair while drying, causing the ringlets to droop or to spiral downwards.

Curl Keeper is so lightweight that it doesn't pull my hair down and it also dries faster than other products (my hair takes FOREVER to dry). Since it's light and dries faster, my ringlets are 'happier' and bouncy - which is what I like best. Even though I have some other products to use up - I'm placing another order for Curl Keeper now. Oh - one last thing. I can't stand gelly-crunchy-wet-looking hair. I love that I can quickly 'scrunch-the-crunch' and have no gel look to my hair!

When I first got Curl Keeper with the Curly Hair Solutions medium curl starter kit, I didn't understand why it got so many good reviews. I tried it a few times and then put it away, because it didn't seem to do anything for my combination wavy/curly (2b/2c) hair. Then I watched this video: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/curl-products/how-to-use-leave-in-conditioner, and I realized I hadn't been using nearly enough of this product. I had been running about a teaspoon amount through my shoulder-length hair when it was wet. I had then applied a creme over that and let everything air dry. After watching the video, I tried again, using about four times that amount, with nothing else, and got really good results.

I don't like to let my hair air-dry because it just kind of hangs off my head in limp waves when I do. But Curl Keeper in the right amount made my wavy/curly hair bouncy and light with no crunchiness. I conditioned in the shower, leaving a very small amount of conditioner in my hair. I blotted dry with a cotton t-shirt and then pumped the Curl Keeper into my hair. (See pumping: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/curly-hair-care-methods/wavy-beginners-guide/scrunch-n-pump-for-massive-clumps. This changed how I apply product and helps my hair clump beautifully.) Then I just let it dry on its own. (The bottle says not to touch hair until it's completely dry, and that did seem to work.) When it was dry, I had nice bounce and volume, some shine, and curl control without crunchiness. My hair was just a bit frizzy, which is why I rated this a 4 instead of a 5. I don't like having to layer a bunch of stuff on my hair, so I don't want to have to add another product to get frizz control.

I think I still need to do some testing to determine exactly how much CK is the right amount for my hair, but I'm off to a great start.

You need to use a lot of product. Use more than you usually do. Have faith while letting your hair dry! I wanted to touch my hair since I felt like the gel was making my hair frizzy/dry, but when my hair was completely dry it looked good. The frizz I did have was probably the result of too little product. However, the curls were crunchy and a little greasy. I am not that interested in shine, and I HATE the "wet" look, so i scrunched my curls and that made them less crunchy and greasy. My hair is 3a and I have coarse strands.

This product didn't work well for me at all. Giving 3 stars because I don't want to ruin the rating just because it didn't work on me. I have transitioning hair and I tried to use it like a "gel" to set my flat twist out. It made my hair tangled and frizzy. Hpwever, it did make my hair soft. I might try it again when my hair is fully natural on a wash and go with lots of leave in conditioner.

This stuff is amazing! It is like a very light gel that truly takes the frizz away and leaves your hair smooth, soft and shiny. Although it is a tiny bit stiff until fully dry, you don't have to scrunch out the crunch. It is perfectly soft when fully dry.

I won this product through a curly Nikki giveaway. I love it! I also recieved a bottle of extenz but have not tried it yet. I was wanting to try curl keeper so win I won it I was so excited! I have used it every time I wash my hair since and get great results every time. My routine- wash w jessicurl use suave coconut rinse then use Sally's version of conditioning balm-leave in for 5 min. Then rinse most of the way out. Use a cotton pillow case to scrunch so no dripping apply kinky curly knot today then curl keeper followed by devacare arc angel or biolage gelle( my gave for now) or la looks sport gel. I then scrunch lightly w a cotton t shirt. Use duck bill clips around crown area let sit for 15 min then diffuse w pixie curl method. Love love love. I only do this twice a week as I get pretty good 2nd 3rd day hair by just misting the bottom layer w water the next day & scrunching a bit. Curl keeper has helped w frizz & so much shine!! Def give it a try! Also sleep on silk pillow case. Occasionally pineapple of I feel I need more volume @ top.

I LOVE this Product... Curl Keeper is the best thing I have ever used on my hair, you can mix it with other products or use alone... I have 3a type curls and I put it on my hair right in the shower before I get out and dry off.. putting it on the hair when its very wet help distibute it real well and you also need to use a good amount or it wont work right. I recomend this product to all my curly clients and also carry it in the salon where I work as a curl specialist called EAZ salon in Coral Springs FL... as you know the weather in Florida is very humid so if this can work for most curlies than it has to be the best product out there. I 100% recommend Curl Keeper to everyone who has curly hair! TRY IT

I like it! It leaves my 4a/4c hair soft and defined. Smells nice. Lots of slip if you shingle product through your hair as I do. I purchased the large size, but it would be nice if it came in a pump style bottle.
***If you are a 4 with thick hair like me you HAVE to use this in conjunction with other products*** Major tip and it's great because it plays VERY nicely with others!!!!
It dries very quickly wich is amazing. One thing: You're not going to get the eco-styler/KKKC look with this product. Your curls will be defined and bouncy but since Curl Keeper is light-weight you WILL have shrinkage. The consistency is a mix between a gel and a serum. When I'm out I will def repurchase. I recommend this to those with a looser curl pattern. I'm Pleased.

I decided to stop blow drying my hair straight and just let it go curly, but honestly did not have a clue about which products to use or even techniques. Wearing my hair curly was all new to me! So, I came to Naturally Curly and read everything I could and found a video of the skip curl technique using Curl Keeper. I have tried about 20 different products since my venture into the curly world, and Curl Keeper is amazing - the best I have tried! I think my hair is 2c/3a and I put the Curl Keeper in hair wet enough to make a "squishy" sound when scrunching. I let the curls form and then leave them to dry. Once my hair is pretty well dry, I can go back through and gently scrunch again and it leaves soft, pretty curls with no crunchiness left. It is amazing stuff! I have a mist bottle with plain water in it and spray and scrunch the next day for pretty decent second day hair.

I was really surprised by the performance of this product on my 4b-4c hair. When I put the product in, made sure my hair was dripping wet, and I applied a leave in conditioner. Used my fingers like a comb (CG method only) to apply product. I had curls popping up all over my head. When my hair was dry it was a bit crunchy, but it was something I could live with. The shine and curls were amazing. So my wash n go has lasted 3 days so far and will see how far I can take it. I applied some leave-in for moisture and spritz only with water. Pop, pop, pop refreshed curls all over my head. I will be buying the travel set to give all the Curly Hair Solutions a try:)

Wow! Some of the best results I've gotten - great curl definition, almost no frizz, and some shine -- and I didn't even have to sacrifice volume! I scrunched a lot in, completely saturating my hair, after using a leave-in, but didn't use any other product except a bit of CJ CCCC Lite to SOTC after my hair was dry. The only problem - and this isn't even enough to take off a star - is that it smells awful, like cherry cough syrup. The smell doesn't linger, and I'm not that sensitive to scents anyway, but others might be and should know ...

Bought a bottle of Curl Keeper last week at the salon when I went for a short Spring cut. I like the way my hair looks. However, the "strawberry/cherry/friuty" smell gives me terrible headaches. Does anyone know of a similar product that relaxes the curl a little bit and adds movement? Those are the things I liked about Curl Keeper-the curls were a little chunkier, not just individual frizzlets. I am almost out (got a small bottle), and when I tried to go back to my old products with my shorter cut I ended up with a Brillo pad for hair. Thanks!

I have fine 3A/B hair that gets weighed down extremely easily -- many product that supposedly aren't heavy make my hair limp and greasy. So, I've been using this for a bit over a month and have to say that I truly believe I've found my HG product. I use CK after cleansing/conditioning by combing through then scrunching upside-down, and as someone else noted, I let it sit for a few minutes -- I think that's the trick. Then, I scrunch through a couple of squirts of Set It Free, then apply and scrunch in my gel. After either air-drying or diffusing (depending on time) I end up with exactly what I wanted: nice, soft clumpy ringlets that last 2-3 days with maybe a little water touch-up (interesting note: if I don't use SIF, while the curls last all day, I don't get 2nd day). Also, the weather here has been alternating between dry/windy and very humid, and my hair has ignored it all!

Curl Keeper causes my hair to behave the way I think it might if I lived in a controlled-environment-type plastic bubble. It seems oblivious to humidity, low dew points, sweat, and wind. If I use a little Curl Keeper, I don't see any difference in my hair. If I use a medium to large amount (a palm-ful) I feel like every one of my hairs is "sealed". Curl Keeper gives so much shine, and it makes split ends invisible. It eliminates frizz and fly-aways. The problem with it, for me, is it loosens my curl pattern. This is nice on my longer hair, because it spirals and looks nearly as long as it actually is. But on my shorter hair (crown), my hair kind of curves, not curls, so my hair does not look its best. However - when all my hair finally gets longer again, (I had to chop it before CG 6 months ago), I think this will be one of those "best thing since sliced bread" products for me. Curl Keeper works magically well over a leave-in, and with Tweek as a finishing product. Curl Keeper and Tweek are, without a doubt, permanent members of my hair potion inventory.

My best friend has long 3c curls that are extremely hard to control. When stretched out, her shoulder-length curls reach her lower back, and she continually battles the 120°-angle triangle 'do. Curl Keeper makes her hair look almost as perfect as a wig. It's shiny, defined, frizzless, and soft! Also, Curl Keeper lasts for days, and it's easily reactivated with water or refresher spray. She can't get over how smooth her hair feels with Curl Keeper, so she won't stop touching her hair!

I actually used astroglide until I could afford to get curl keeper & to compare..Wow. I bought the liter size first thing just because I'd seen so many reviews and pictures of before and afters. Curl Keeper, also Curly Hair Solutions Leave in Silk conditioner & shampoo.

So, I ordered all this stuff, and unfortunately - I hate the Curl Keeper - first of all, it burned on my scalp, then made my scalp itchy. It seemed to work well as far as nicely formed curls, but the itch! Can't stand it - makes me wonder what's in that stuff to burn and itch. Now I'm wondering about using up the shampoo and the leave-in silk conditioner. Is it going to ruin what I have had going with the CG products? That's what I get for being a product junkie! Has anyone tried the shampoo and leave-in silk conditioner?
Another question for everyone - I have had such great results with Twisted Sista curl activator - just worried about build-up. I have 3b fine hair. Any comments on Twisted Sista? Thanks all.

I really don't know why there are so many bad reviews. I bought the med curls starter kit, and this is the best product of the kit, everything else in the kit was good and will probably purchase again, but Curl Keeper is now a must-have for me. My hair is 3b, med/fine, a little past my shoulders, highlighted blonde curls, and this product makes them soft, defined, frizz-free (even when I play with it after it's dry), feels clean, and absolutely no stiffness or crunch whatsoever. I really don't understand why so many people are experiencing crunchy curls. I went to frizzoff.com and really payed attention to the videos of how to use there products. And I even use a diffuser sometimes (only when in a hurry), and only after the recommended time (15 min) to let the product "set".
I also love the Slip detangler and Tweek cream. They are also in the starter set. As for the 'poo and conditioner, I liked it great but I also really like Living Proof No Frizz 'poo and cond, which also won the Allure Best of Beauty award this year for curly hair.
Next I really want to try CHS Extenzz to reduce shrinkage.
    Good luck Curly Girls!!

I find that I have to double-up with this product, in that it doesn't do anything for my fizzy 2c curl-waves on its own, but match it with a creme then it's incredible. The frizz-free hold lasts and lasts. However, the trick is in learning how much you have to apply, and it took me a long time to learn the exact amount I need. On humid, sitcky days this is my definite go-to product.

I love love this product I use it with recoil. It does not weigh my fine hair down. I love the fact that it reactivates with water so I can play/fix my hair without hassle anywhere any time. I use a nickel size on each section of my hair with a dime size of recoil and get big soft clumpy curls which is every girls dream with thin fine hair. I also love the fact that this product can be added to any hair regimine without buildup so I still use it with my KCCC.

I seem to be in the minority of peole who don't like this product. On my 3a/3b curls, it leaves them super crunchy, cakey and dried out looking, and 2nd day hair is a horror story. Doesn't seem to matter if I use it on soaking wet hair or 2nd day dry hair, , towel dried hair, diffuse dryed, or air dryed, the result is the same - a tangled, snarled crunchy Sahara Desert mess.

I got the Curly Hair Solutions medium curls trial pack, and this was included. I have used it multiple times, and I really don't see why people love it so much. It defined my curls just as well as other products I have used, except there was quite a bit of crispiness and it took hours and hours to dry. Plus it smells bad. I would compare the smell to bad perfume mixed with urine. What I did like, was the Silk Leave-In Conditioner. It is amazing! It does not define my curls or control frizz as well as I would have liked, but I love the way it makes my hair feel. And it doesn't smell as bad.

I have extremly dry hair and i color it with semi-permanant dye and i am transitoning. it works on the relaxed part where its about 2c/3a. so only get this if you dont have a lot of frizzies and big curls. its more for the 2's.

I recently decided to go back to wearing my hair natural but I knew I had to find the right product for me. After trying a few I read about at this site, I decided to try Curl Keeper! I am so glad I did! My hair looks wonderful! Still a bit of frizz, but it's getting better as I am getting into practice again with my curls and this product. My hair looks controlled, curly, and wonderful! I am now 40 years old and I love my curls so much I wish it was even curlier! Curl Keeper is a keeper for me!

2 Curls only because my sisters said my hair looked ok. Not the look i was trying to achieve my curls got swollen so if you like big hair and volume go ahead. My hair wasn't as frizzy but my ends looked dry and my hair was soft but too fluffy. I believe the high dew points added extra moisture from the air into my hair with this product so i don't think it was really sealing my LI before i put gel on so i didn't get the results i was hoping for. Maybe will try again in the winter. For now with summer i will continue sealing with light oils after KCKT and before KCCC.

I have type 2a-3a hair--very fine and wavy to curly. My hair is exceptionally porus and can absorb a lot of product before getting weighed down. I do a lot of mixing and layering of products, in fact, just to get my hair not to be so flyaway.

I found this product did what it said--offered enhanced curl definition; however, I found it worked even better mixed with a Jessicurl product that also aims for curl definition: Confident Coils Styling solution.

I am in Curl Keeper LOVE!! I would never have guessed it. I almost did not try it. I was leery becasue I read how it tamed frizz (I have no frizz) and elongated curl. What? What! I am trying to turn this 2b wave into some curls. I want nothing that elongates.
Well, surprise of surprises. This miracle elixir turned my weak waves into actual curls. I about fell over after I crunched with a t-shirt and looked in the mirror. Serious curls!
My gel actually loosened what CK gave me. My hair scrunched out soft and not product-y looking.
I cannot recommend this enough! Wavies-take a chance on CK love. I am SUPER glad that I did!

Maybe one of the best products I've ever tried. That's saying a lot - like many other cg's, I've TRIED a lot. Keeps my 3a curls contained and sleek without weighing them down. Frizz diminished considerably. I might just have to buy the litre bottle...(the problem is I used to use it under a non silicone-free mousse, so I need to find something else to help pump up my curl...I may try AG re:coil). Either way, on its own, it's FAB! The closest I've EVER come to 2nd day hair is with this stuff.

I think I'm in love...I've been battling with my hair to get it to curl up right, have volume, and no frizz in my new curly bob cut. I've tried a number of products and strategies. I finally tried out my free sample of Curl Keeper, and it gave me the most amazing, touchable, frizz-free curls! I have volume, great curl formation and separation, and no crunch. I used it over LI conditioner.

Still undecided on this one. I've been having some great hair days wtih this product. Practically zero frizz. However, it is strangely watery and my curls are very loose. They are naturally tight without any product at all, but I ended up trading frizz for dull hair. I'd give this a 5 if it tightened my curls.

The curl keeper helped a little didnt get as much frizz as i normally do, i guess its not the type of product for my 3c/4a hair, this product came with the Try Me Kit that my mom order for me, the products smell good, and the leave in condish doesnt work for my hair either, i guess, i was hoping this was the products i could be using for a long time, but i guess not. Hopefully it works for other people out there!

This is a must have in your arsenal! I put this on soaking wet hair, by raking through then scrunching a little by hand and then with a microfiber towel. Then I scrunch in a little AG re-coil and I have great Botticelli-esque 3A curls...to my surprise - I always thought I just had waves! YAY!

This is a wonderful product! It’s very watery so it doesn’t make my hair feel sticky or hard. The more I put on, the shinier and the less frizzy my hair gets. I also use the Skip & twirl technique and I like the way it makes my hair look!

A must have! this product truly does eliminate frizz! I have super frizzy almost damage looking hair towards the back around the ponytail area and I can apply a lot of this stuff without weighing down my hair and all the frizz is gone. I use it as a base under AG recoil curl activator and they are a great team. It is water based so you don't have to worry about any crunch or heavy feeling hair.

    I love it!
I have really, really picky hair that ONLY likes Curl Keeper. It doesn't like anything else that I have tried, for whatever reason; everything else leaves my hair hard, limp, greasy, stringy, or causes build-up. And I have tried a lot of gels/creams/mousses, etc. I wish I could try other things and have them actually work, but as long as I have Curl Keeper, I am happy!
I have 2a/b hair and this has a light hold when I use a small amount (which is all I need), and it reduces frizz SO well! No stiffness/ crunch whatsoever, and my hair is always super shiny after I use it, I love it, and can't wait to try all the other products from CHS.

I've been using CK now for the past several months and have to say I love it on my 3C curls!! I dont' like it by itself but I do love it over AG:Recoil or KCCC. It does a great job keeping my curls defined with barely any frizz. The smell isn't great but using it over top of my other products gives me great results, so great I just bought the 1 litre!!

ok so this is my first time reviewing anything -- this stuff is amazing. I guess I have been using it for 4 months and have also been experimenting with other, more expensive products but none work as well as this! I use it with AG:Recoil or sometimes alone and I get awesome looking curls and I get tons of compliments. Ive also tried Kinky-curly knot today and that did basically nothing for my hair - just left it frizzy with not much curl. I also broke bank over trying curl junkie products -- which are nice, but not near as good as this stuff. I'm actually fixing to buy some more of this stuff!

Loove it!!! It actually keeps the curls without frizziness and enhances their shape!! If you find it leaves hair crunchy or a little dry (not a real problem with me) the trick is to put some leave in condish or oil before applying it! Great product, especially for CG!

I'm a new CG and am still trying out products.Have had trouble with being either too greasy or too drying. Tried this today and LOVE it! First product that gave me total frizz control on a 90 degree midwestern summer day with soft touchable curls. I have 3a curls front and top and 2b sides and back. I did use it with a gel. Co-washed, combed CK through wet hair, dried with a microfiber towel and then applied Angel gel. Diffused just enough to get excess water out and then air-dried. Today this product gave great frizz control without being heavy on my fine curls. Gave it 4 curls only because this was my first time. If I get results like I did today I would revise to 5 curls.

It does leave my hair shiny, however, by late afternoon, I noticed a white haze.. Will not be purchasing this product again.

I'm not really a fan. This product felt really product-y, and it doesn't fit well into my style regimen. The instructions say to apply and let it sit, but I usually apply all of my products and then style. While it did take out some frizz before I started moving my hair around, afterwards, it was a frizzy mess.

It took me a while to warm up to this stuff, but I kept trying because it has such a great reputation. It used to make my hair stringy and stretch out my curls too much, but I think my hair was just not healthy enough to benefit from the light (very light) hold, moisture-locking, and smoothing of CK. Now I layer it under everything.

I've looked all my life for a product like this (sadly I'm now 38) & it's a shame I haven't found it sooner.

I have 2B hair that curls lovely when it's healthy but just won't curl when it's damaged (lots of foil highlights & permanent hair coloring). Instead it just frizzes a whole lot & kinks up a bit when I try to scrunch a curl into it with hair gel or any other curl-enhancing product.

Enter Curl Keeper (finally!)... I've NEVER had an easier time getting waves & curl back into my hair... without a lot of work... just apply to wet hair (nickel-size amount for my chin-length bob), arrange with fingers, scrunch it up a little, let it air dry (doesn't take forever). Then scrunch a bit of fullness into it after hair is dry & frizz NEVER COMES BACK. I love this. I wake up in the morning & my hair looks virtually untouched.

No crunchiness, no stiffness, no dullness, no stickyness. It's amazing.
Again, I'm just sad I didn't find this sooner.
But I'm 100% thrilled to have it now (especially in the heat of humid NYC summer!). What a godsend.
I bought the 8oz bottle for $15.50 which will last me a long time but next time I'll get the huge 33oz bottle.
This stuff (to me) is liquid gold.

Used it for the first time this morning. I have to say...it's AMAZING! Wonderful product! Gave me bouncy, shiny, defined, frizz-free wurlies that STAYED all of the above after my hair had finished drying. This last effect is an unusual (albeit pleasant) one for me, since, as my hair air-dries, it usually develops a halo of frizzies (at which point, I would lightly apply more product). Needless to say, this product was different; it needed no reapplication or touching up. It also worked all by itself, without the help of any other styling products. It's noon in my timezone, and I've already gotten two compliments. I will be reordering if every day is like this one. HG? I'll have to wait and see, but things are looking up.

I love this product. I am 41 and have been trying pretty much anything for my curls as alot of woman have. My hair is 3A. It's frizzy, uncontrollable, and very dry. I use ONLY this product on my hair after conditioning and it leaves my curls looking controlled. It will frizz a little bit on the crown later on in the day but all i do is add a little bit of water to re-activate, and voila. I truly recommend this product. It's a little pricey but worth it. The only downfall is it cant be purchased from a store; can only get online.

This product fights the frizz pretty well, and I have very frizzy hair. It does not add much curl though. You definitely still need to use a mouse or a curl booster in addition to this one.

Also, it does leave hair feeling crunchy/hard.

I do like the smell alot, and I like that it does not make my hair feel oily/greasy.

Overall, good frizz fighter, but not a great curl definer/booster.

I've finally figured out how to get the best results using CK!! And its true what everyone has been saying, you need to use ALOT of this product to get it to perform optimally. Basically, you keep applying it to your hair until you think you've put too much, and then you add one more palm-full haha. And I apply it to dripping wet hair right after my leave in. Once I've put in CK, I use AG:Recoil and use about a dime size of it. After that, I make sure not to touch my hair or do anything to it for at least 10 minutes. Its really important that the CK sets. After that, I diffuse and get some wonderful curls. This is def my HG product =)

I was so excited to try this, so I'm sad that I don't like it. I tried it by itself and under a gel, and both times I got deformed-looking, gimpy, weak curls, and it also turned some of my curls into waves (but not all of them, so I ended up looking like I didn't finish styling my hair). This product COULD have been a good one for my very frizz-prone, fine, 3b curly hair in a dry, desert climate. But, as so many manufacturers do, they added a perfume that is way too strong for me. I tried this stuff 3 times as I really wanted to like it but each time the overpowering scent got stronger and more intense as my hair dried later in the day (not blown dry). I couldn't stand it. On the third day, the side of my face broke out where my hair was touching. If you have allergies or sensitivities, pass on this one. If scent doesn't bother you, then by all means give it a try but be sure to use a leave-in conditioner underneath it.

The sent left me with a migraine so bad I had to wash my hair and clarify the next day.

This product would be great if it was sent free.

I've been using this product for about a month now and I simply couldn't be more in love! Since I started using this product in combination with AG's re:coil I've noticed a significant improvement in how healthy my hair both looks and feels. I have super-fine hair, so it doesn't take much at all for a product to be too heavy for my hair, but CK is just right. On both the up and down-side this product is water based, meaning I feel completely guiltless when I put it in second-day hair but also have had a bit of trouble controlling how much comes out of the bottle and keeping it firmly in my hand while trying to apply it. Being almost comically clumsy could also be a contributing factor to the later. Bottom line? I love this product. I see that not everyone has had my experience with it, but I love it and my hair look great. I'm hooked.

I put my hair in a microfibre towel for about ten minutes and then I let my hair air dry. When my hair is mostly dry, I use a blow dryer with a diffuser to get some volume. I get great curls with no frizz.

If I didn't have to use a leave in conditioner with it, I would have given it a 5 curl rating. Also, I can't just scrunch and go, I have to skip curl my hair like he shows you in his video or else it still frizzes up. I use Goldwell Kerasilk conditioner as a leave in.

I have tons (about 6) curl cremes in my bathroom, and most just dont do well without added gel, mouse etc. I like my curls defined, soft, bouncy with some volume as my hair is fine, but have medium amount of hair..when I paired this with Aveda's Curl Creme...EXCEPTIONAL! If I used with CHS gel, STICKY, CRUNCHY...that 80's wet sticky curl look...YUK! Even using store bought curl creme..i.e. Garneir Fructise curl creme, did pretty well too. I found that when I applied product(s) my hair was pretty saturated then I would bend over and take a towel and squeeze excess while scrunching. Then I could gently place my curls how I wanted and let dry!! Excellent this way!

This worked great on my 3c/4a hair! I agree with other reviews that CK is used best when mixed with a gel. I was able to get 4 day hair and my curls still pop when I run wet fingers through the hair and add a little CK to revive flat or frizzy sections. The only downside is that it is easy to really go through a lot of CK to get the best results but if used with a gel you won't need to use as much CK.

I love this product. I bought this last year, and got horrible results. However, I read reviews of many others that liked this in combo with Jessicurl CCSS and Batia & Aleeza Gel, so I decided to try it again. I have very thick 3b/3c hair that likes to spiral, so the first thing I did was break my hair into 4 sections. Then I went through and with my fingers raked in the CHS Silk Leave-In, followed by the CK, CCSS, and BA gel. I had already detangled with my shower comb while my hair was full of conditioner, so I opted not to comb the CK in, since I wanted to encourage ringlet groupings. My hair had body, movement, curl definition, no frizz, and my ringlets clumped together beautifully. CK definitely did its job in locking out the frizz! Now that I know how to apply the product correctly, I'm loving the results. Day 2 looked great as well. I want to thank the other ladies on NC, particularly the other 3cs that wrote product reviews. I learned the importance of layering the CK with other products since my hair is so thick and curly. The sectioning and rake technique worked beautifully with this product mix.

This is the best product for frizzy unmanageable curls! I love it. I used it on soaking wet hair comed it through then added some gel and leave in conditioner. After scrunching I air dried for as long as I could but because I have limited time in the morning I finished with a diffuser and blow drier. I have the softest, non-frizzy curls ever! This product does what is claims to do. I've already ordered a liter. This is my HG!!

This product has turned me into a curly girl. I have 3a curls and for the first time in my life I have chunky, pretty, evenly defined curls. My hair is no longer a frizzy tangly mess. And the amazing thing is, my hair feels completely soft and clean. I just bought a liter of the stuff. Very Happy.

OMG!!!! This works... I don't have the words to describe it! I've got frizzy, very thin hair. A lot of products make my hair mor heavy, so the volume is gone. But this, in combination with the Curl Junkie Intense Protection Leave-In Conditioner... I've never seen my curls like this! I still have volume and defined curls, it's a miracle!!!

Hate, Hate, Hate this product! I have 3b curls that tend to form by themselves. When I use this I have to spend too much time finger curling my hair. It drained my natural shine and highlights so my hair looked dull and dead, and it sucked all of the moisture out. I mixed it with a leave-in and it seemed to prevent the leave-in from absorbing into my hair folicles. I am happy that it works for some, but don't expect a miracle for everone! If you want to spend 30 minutes finger curling it does hold the shape nicely, but I would only try if your hair is alreay half dead, not if it's healthy.

I really liked this product. The only downside to it is that I need a lot of the product because my hair is so dry. So, the price becomes a little high for me. Other than that I liked it. I'd go 3 1/2 curls if I could.

Interestingly, using CK alone doesn't do much fo rmy hair, but using it in combination with certain texturizers yeields wonderific results.
I have used this product in conjunction with my Momo serum, which yeilded horrible, stringy, chaotic curls that didn't hold a shape. On the hand, I use this product with Re:Coil for the best head of curls I have ever stepped out of the house with. This product amuses me, too, because it smells exactly, EXACTLY like old lipstick.

Honestly, I would have been soooo much happier with my hair if they had had this when I was growing up. It blows my mind to think of all the curlies that pile on the silicone serums to try to achieve what this product does!

This product did define my curls and they looked fine for a month. But it is extremely drying! The second ingredient is PVP/VA colpolymer, a plastic. I had to wash frequently with the strong shampoo (from the same line) to remove the build-up and my hair ended up like straw. If you use Curl Keeper, alternate it with another product. Better yet, avoid it.

Posted by Anonymous (Type 3a) on 07/02/2008

After much experimentation I finally figured out how to use this product. I start by adding CK right out of the shower on soaking wet hair (I use about a quarter sized puddle). Then I add Re:Coil (or Rockin Ringlets) and rake it through my hair and scrunch the excess water out. Finally I add about a half dollar sized puddle of gel and scrunch it in my hair for extra hold. I plop for 15min then diffuse with my hair hanging over my head. I get great curl formation and they even start from my roots using this system. I take away CK and I don't get as much height from the roots or great clumping.

I was soooo disappointed when this didn't work for me :-(. I have 3b/3c hair and I tried several different combinations with this product before finally giving up. It did absolutely nothing for my frizz...in fact I think my hair was more frizzy after using this product. It was impossible to clump my hair with this stuff in it...it gave me stringy, puffy, and frizzy hair...alas, I will continue my search for the perfect defrizzer.

I did have high hopes for this product, but it just didn't work for my lifestyle. I have tried it for a solid 3 weeks using it in many different ways and all were unsuccessful. In general my hair felt dry, coarse, and even sticky when using the recommended amount of product. Also, my healthy 3a/3b curls would fall to a wave after a few hours regardless of how much product I was using. The one thing that did work was that my curls were frizz free.

I immediately went back to my old techniques that leave my hair bouncy, shiny, and very soft. Condition, leaving a little in when rinsing, gel, and finally lifting the crown with clips to get more height whether air drying to diffusing.

This product didn't work for me at first. There's a certain technique...you have to apply to DRIPPING wet hair and rake through hair. Then rub some more between your palms and scrunch into your hair- you should hear a squishy noise if your hair is wet enough. Then I scrunch some gel in and use a microfiber towel to scrunch some of the water out and define curls. That's what works for me! I get shiny bouncy well-defined curls after scrunching again when it's dry. I've only been using it about a week, so I hope it keeps working so well. Then I'll have my HG!!

I really wanted to like this based on all the great reviews posted here. I tried this 6 ways to Sunday (alone, with gel, with mousse, with leave-in conditioner and gel, etc...), but I'm just not feelin' the love. It did nothing for curl formation, or for friz and it's holding power was next to nil.

I adore this stuff. I got the 4 oz. bottle to try, and after a week or so, I'm getting that liter size! I have tried some really great stuff, but my hair has never looked better than with this. EVER! I use it on dripping wet hair, put a little gel over it and plop... and it's amazing! I've also discovered that I can use a cheap conditioner and gel with this, and I think that's pretty cost effective. Give it a try!

OMG! I just used this product today and it is awesome! I used my regular leave in conditioner and gel beneath the curl keeper and let it air dry, as I took a nap. When I woke up I had the most beautiful silky, elongated ringlets that I have ever had. It was a tad crunchy at first, but as I played with and finger styled it, the crunch went away. I had no frizz and no pouf. This is definetley in the holy grail category for me!

Great stuff!! This and the Batia and Aleeza gel are the only styling products I've tried that actually work for me without making my hair feel crunchy or stiff. It's liquidy so very easy to work through my hair. When it dries there's a slight crunch, but I can quickly scrunch it out and then my hair is non-frizzy, defined, SOFT, and SHINY all day! The hold doesn't disappear by the end of the day or when my hair is touched or aggravated (like trying on clothes at the mall lol). It's the solution to my lifelong battle with my hair! Now I get so many compliments, and I can actually look in the mirror--or even PLAY with my hair, which I could never do before--and be happy with my hair.

I absolutely love this product! It gives definition and helps tame frizz. I live in Southern PA and work in MD, we get serious humidity in the summer. I combine this with the curl keeper gel and Blended Beauty's Kick for Curls. It works great in the humidity, even held up during my 2 week vacation to Jamaica. In the winter I only use the Curl Keeper and Batia & Aleeza's Gel.

Can't say enough good things about this product. I have used so many serums and potions over the years and this is the best. It looks like water but has a thicker consistency. If you run this through soaking wet hair then put on a little AG ReCoil through your tresses, you will get perfectly frizz free hair that will blow you away. This is the best one to set the tone for your finishing product then any other on the market. I call it the perfect distributor because it sets the tone for a really great hair day. It's almost enough but not quite so I distribute a little AG ReCoil through it afterwards and thats all I need to do. If I do not touch my hair and simply let it dry naturally, in a few hours my hair is gorgeous with this stuff. It will look crinkly and wet while its drying but if you gently rub your tresses by pulling on the locks a little and shaking it out, it cracks and you get soft loose curls underneath the crunch.

I'm torn about this product. Smells great, and really feels like water in your hand. It didn't leave build-up, but it really did nothing for my 4a/3c curls. Oddly, my hair felt stiff and drier once I applied it. I am going to give the stuff another try, since I went to the official website and pulled some useful tips.

Love this stuff for keeping the frizz at bay! It's awesome layered over a leave-in underneath your styler (cream, gel or mousse!). I've never used it just as a styler because it's so expensive. But it's an HG alone for frizz! I have found I don't need it in the winter as my hair tends to become a bit smoother on it's own when it's cool. Has an odd scent that I've come to really like. Feels and looks like a serum almost, but it's totally CG. Definitely worth the money.

I then scrunch in my gel & voila - perfect hair day!

I can see how this would work for some people, but it didn't do it for me. It made my hair very soft, shiny, and frizz-free, but my curls fell to barely a wave. It almost seemed like it made my hair to smooth and sleek to clump together and form curls. I got smooth, shiny, soft hair in skinny, barely wavy strings. I do like it for when I straighten. I'm sure it would work better for coarser curls that hold their shape on their own.

I LUV this stuff, it's a true Godsend for curls! Works great by itself with the silk leave-in conditioner.

Love this stuff. I put it on top of all of my leave-in conditioners and curl-enhancing creams, and get great results with everything. Always soft, never crunchy. If you pair this with CHS silk leave-in you get the softest hair imaginable. I've had many compliments on how soft my hair is.

Definitely does the job, once you figure out how to use it. Soft shiny (yes I said shiny) curls with great curl formation. Needs to be paired with the leave-in conditioner.

I love it. Produces soft, well-defined curls.
