Styling Tips

• Distribute evenly on wet or dry hair.
• Use alone or with Curly Hair Solutions Curl Keeper.
• Reactivates with water.

  Good curl encouragement but some areas of roughed up fluff, especially on drizzly days.

  I got this as part of their medium curl starter kit which included the shampoo, conditioner, leave-in, gel, and detangler.
  I like how easy it is to apply to my hair. Some gels can be quite viscous and need a lot to apply to hair for curl formation. This was smooth and liquidy.
  However, it didn't do much for keeping my curls beautiful all day.
  Don't recommend for 3b's.

  This is some serious stuff. It may work better with curlier hair - it was definitely overkill for me. However, I used it a slightly different way and loved the effect: I just smoothed a little over dry hair, just on the outside, and it totally controlled the frizz factor. Again, my hair is mostly wavy, so crazy curls may have a different experience. A bit too much of a high school girl's hairspray smell, but it dissipates quickly. Still, that's not a memory one wants first thing in the morning, so I recommend this as a touch up product right before you go out for some cocktails.

  I like this gel a lot. I mix it with Curl Keeper. It is not an HG but it will do for now.

  I like this gel a lot. I got good curl formation and clumping. Not too scrunchy. Works well after CK.

  This did nothing for my hair, just like the rest of this line. Not enough hold and my hair felt producty after using it.

  I add this to my hair after blended beauty's Kick for Curls followed by Curl keeper and it workes great in high humidity.

  This is a very average gel, that's part of an above average line. CHS makes some other excellent products, but this gel is very standard. There are better ones out there for curlyheads. The hold was mediocre. There really was nothing 'special'.

  I like this gel a lot. It gives me good curl defination, a little hold w/no crunchy feeling.

  I did get some crunch with this. If used with Curl Keeper, I lose the soft feel that CK provides.

  This is a thicker gel that provides decent curl defintion without a lot of crunch. It felt conditioning too - not drying.
