I am a texlaxed 3c and I have lot of issues with shedding and breakage. I have used this shampoo only twice now and can tell the difference. Way less breakage and little to no shedding. I might use this product while transitioning to natural.

This shampoo is great. It smells divine and it really does work to strengthen the hair. I bought this because my hair is heat damaged and I needed something to help keep my hair strong between protein treatments. I left it on for 5 minutes as directed. It didn't dry my hair out but it wasn't very moisturizing or detangling so I feel like 4 curls is fair. But for the overall it does what it's supposed to do so I'm satisified. I'm excited to keep using it.

How many years has it taken me to find my HG shampoo? I tried the CG method, but my fine, fine curls just went limp no matter what product I used to co-wash. So I decided to go back to sulfates-and ended up with a mess of dry, frizzy, poufy hair. Even DevaCurl Lo Poo made my hair limp. Then I discovered this shampoo with just a touch of sulfate, and it is perfect. Does not dry out my hair, lathers well (I do like lather-have an oily scalp so it really helps clean better.) This shampoo makes my curls pop. Doesn't weigh my hair down or dry it out-like Goldilocks, I finally found my "just right." BTW, I have hair that's heavily processed-dyed, bleached, highlighted, dyed again. So this must be good shampoo. Honestly worth every penny.

Absolutly love this shampoo! I love the smell and It realy make my hair feel smooth and healthy. It is more bounchy and give me more curl and volume. I just use it once a week with the DC one condition and the other time I use the DC No poo and one condition. Then I use the Curl Keeper and ArcAngel. For me the perfect combination.

This shampoo made my hair a lot smoother. The back of my hair is extremely dry and it is extremely rough. This shampoo made if feel healthier and smoother which surprised me because no other product had done that due to my hair being low porosity, and i have tried so many products. The only downside is that it has sulfates and is a bit drying to your hair. I wont use it as a daily shampoo but I will include it into my routine because of how well it performs.

I bought this shampoo to help with my very fragile 4a hair problem. It is highly prone to breakage, and I am working to build up it's strength. After ordering however, I realized most reviewers had 2-3 grade hair (I read the reviews before ordering, but didn't notice the hair types :). At first I was scared I might have ordered the wrong product for my hair, but the description didn't say it wasn't suitable for 4 types. I used it anyway to see what I thought since I am just wading the waters trying to find my staple products. To my surprise, this shampoo is the best shampoo I have ever tried! It makes my hair smooth and easy to detangle; no knots in sight! I also like the smell of it. So, if you have 4 grade hair, you might also like this product as well. My hair responds well to it and I intend to keep using it!

As far as traditional poos go, this is the best I've ever used! I use this as a clarifier after swimming in the pool, or before PTs. It has a nice lather and truly feels gentle. It's hard to believe it has sulphates! I would recommend it.

I used this product for several weeks because I had damaged hair and a dry scalp. The shampoo repaired my
hair. I could see after a week that my scalp became less dry. The fragrance was a mild coconut scent. It cleaned my hair well and there was alot of lather.

A great shampoo! I have thick, wavy hair - it is curly in areas and very curly when cut short but I wouldn't quite say it was 'curly hair'. After using it for a while I really noticed a difference in the volume of my hair. It looked a lot healthier and bouncier. I don't find it to be a very rich lather in comparison to most sulfate shampoos. It doesn't seem to be irritating either.

I was sulfate-free for about two years before I even heard of CG. I ordered this shampoo on a whim when I decided to try Curl Keeper because I saw that another member used it regularly and I seriously envied her curls. I now use this 1-2 times a week because I love how it makes my hair feel. I still can't believe that this is a sulfate shampoo! It leaves my hair much softer than almost any sulfate-free shampoo I've tried (I just counted 9 different sulfate-free shampoos in my bathroom, so I've tried quite a few). And it's fabulous when I use it immediately before my protein treatments.

I use this once per week on my 3B curls and I love it. I do want a big cushion-y lather once in a while and this lathers up nicely and removes all build-up. My hair looks fantastic on the days I use this. I can't say I've noticed my color staying longer, as the product label implies, but it does an awesome job of cleansing without drying my hair.

I use this maybe twice a month. I try to follow the CG routine but this is a good choice for preserving my color and cleansing. It is not too harsh and smells good too.

Using this I can skip conditioner all together and go straight to the slip detangler. I wish curlmart would stock the liter sizes.

Great shampoo. I don't leave it like the directions suggest. My hair felt really soft after using it.

Stripping, harsh, abrasive. Sulfate-hell is what it is.

This one really has a cumulative effect. You'll notice a change from the first shampoo, but you'll see your hair getting stronger with each use. Really protects color, too.

I also noticed an immediate difference in the shower with this shampoo. My hair felt conditioned and supple. 'Supple' being the key, here. I'm not too keen on how the directions say to leave it on for 3-5 minutes, but it really does 'do' something for chemically treated hair. I'll probably repurchase.

As someone who has colored their hair for about 15 years, I noticed a big difference with this shampoo. It cleans my hair without stripping the color out. My color now lasts about twice as long.

Makes my color last forever! Use it for a couple weeks and you might forget your hair is porous. After a month you can actually skip conditioner now and then. How unreal is that?!

I didn't know that "squeaky clean" was literal until I used this shampoo. It thoroughly cleans, but leaves hair soft and detangled. It also strenghens hair. It's like nothing else out there.

A rich, gentle shampoo with good lather and fresh scent. It felt very moisturizing.
