If I could give this product a negative rating I would. Very drying to my hair and not moisturizing at all.

Oh Curlycue Renew, how I have missed thee! I am so glad this stuff is finally back in stock! Haven't been able to get it for almost two years, but it was worth the wait. This is one of the best deep moisturizers I have ever used.
I have really weird mixed-race hair. Baby-fine, super long, probably 2a-b at this length, 3a-b when it's shorter. Naturally dry. Tangles into dreadlockish mats and tiny little faerie knots, so I can't ever do 2nd day hair. Frizzy color-treated heat-styled protein-sensitive highly porous. Yeah, all that mess.
This dc actually puts moisture into my hair, restores elasticity, and detangles like a dream. My frizzy crackly waves turn into loose bouncy spirals, with far less tangling throughout the day. I have never tried it with heat but I imagine that will give me even better results. I'm buying more while it's still available. Don't want to be without it!

Sooooo again not sure what the hype was about with this product but it was expensive and I had to use a lot of product to even saturate my hair. I used half the bottle after one shampoo and the other half after another shampoo. One might respond that maybe my shampoo was the problem and to that I would respond that is what I thought so I tried it after using two different shampoos for the two washes and the same results....nothing! It smells amazing, but it just did not deep condition my hair like I needed. I will not buy it again because $14 for two washes is not for me. The bottle is small and the smallest is the $14 one. Not for me or my 4a/4c type hair.

This conditioner was amazing! It's is full of slip/emollients that leave the hair very easy to detangle. The fragrance smells like baby powder (which is fine with me). My hair was left extremely soft after leaving it on for only a few minutes so I can only imagine the results after sitting under a hooded dryer. Will repurchase!

I hate to be the barrier of bad news but since I have started my hair journey back in Jan. of 2010, this is the worst deep conditioner I have ever put on my hair.

I have 3c/4a highly porous hair. My hair soaks up moisturizing products when I apply them to my curl. The first time I used this product, I followed the instructions and applied to clean damp hair and deep conditioned with my dryer for 30 minutes. When I went to rinse out the conditioner it felt moisturized but once all of the product was out, my hair felt like I did not even deep condition...Strike 1.

Strike 2. 2 weeks later, I deep conditioned with this product overnight, hoping for better results. I left this deep conditioner on my hair for nearly 12 hours, and when I went to rinse out the conditioner, my hair felt like I did not even deep condition. What was even worse was by the end of the day, my hair felt extremely dry. No Good.

Since my hair was so dry, the next day I decided that I would give the deep conditioner one last chance and co-wash my hair with it. What A Mistake!! I left the conditioner sit on my hair for about 10 minutes while I finished and soon as I rinsed my hair out, my hair felt horribly rough. Strike 3...Never Again.

So besides the fact that the product did not do anything for my hair and I actually feel like it made my hair feel drier and rougher, If that was not the case, and the product did work for my hair, the reason why I would not purchase this again is because I only got 3 uses out of it. For $13 plus shipping for an 8 oz container it would never be worth it to purchase this for a deep conditioner. I deep condition my hair twice a week and try to find worthy deep conditioners that work, for less than $10 and at least 16 oz. I recommend Edens BodyWorks Jojoa Monoi Deep Conditioner!

One last thing, I believe the culprit of this product not working for my hair is the burdock root, amla, or the horsetail. I don't recall ever using a product with any of these ingredients in them so from now on I'll keep an eye out and try to avoid them.

    Hair type: 3c/4a

This stuff is amazing!! I'm one of those girls who vainly takes notice of products packaging, but I'm so glad I bought this deep conditioner regardless of its plain jane packaging! I've previously used Bee Beautiful's deep conditioner which was and still is my holy grail, but I didn't feel like dropping $28 again :/ So I bought this and it's texture, smell and effect on my hair is just like the Bee Beautiful one! It literally MELTS into my hair and a little goes a long way. The only issue I have with it is that it's only 8oz. My previous $28 one is 16 oz and lasted me from June 2013- early January 2014. So even though this DC is half the price, it's half the amount of product. They basically costs the same per oz. Would have given it 5 stars but I with there was more on it.

This is a staple product for me. My go to dinner. That I can count on. Very rich , great slip. I do a cleansing tea then a dry hair herbal vinegar rinse after I do this dc with 45 minutes to an hour under a heat cap. Net result is soft thoroughly moisturized hair.

This DC is the bomb. My hair was so soft and easy to detangle. I can't wait to try some other products from this brand.

This product was great. It moisturized and more importantly it DETANGLED. I have very few products that work to detangle my hair and this worked wonders. I really like this product.

nothing bad to say about this one! when i first put it on i found the consistency was very thin (unlike the super thick spiral solutions dc which i love), so i didn't have very high hopes. however as i washed it away after leaving it on for 45 minutes my hair felt incredibly soft and moisturised. i think this is great. and the price is so cheap, no wonder it's always sold out. 5 stars!

I use this product as a rinse out, my hair doesn't need DTs. Love the scent (baby powder mixed with vanilla), its really thick and creamy. For the price, you can't beat it! Great ingredients and a quality product and line. Love the LI as well, but the gel didnt do anything for me.

I really like this deep conditioner! It has good slip which helps with detangling and has a sweet but pleasant scent (like vanilla cake or ice cream). I have beautiful 3c/4a hair that am in love with it, but still trying to figure out after only being 2 1/2 months post BC (11 months post relaxer). I've used this as a DC and as a leave-in on my TWA. I like it both ways. Its really comparable to the Bee Mine deep conditioner which I absolutely love! This is less expensive of course!

Totally feel in love with this deep conditioner (DC). I had so much definition during application of the DC and after washing it out. I got little to no shrinkage, which often happens to my hair with other products. It has a pleasant fragrance that is not overpowering at all. My hair has never felt this soft before after a DC treatment, so I was thrilled. Will definitely be using this as a staple DC. The coating is creamy and thick and my hair soaks up all of the goodness. :-)

MY HAIR LOVES THIS PRODUCT!! I'm protein sensitive and most deep conditioners I've used have some sort of proteins present. My results were never what I expected and my hair never felt really soft or moisturized. Curly Kinks Curlycue ReNew has given me renewed faith in deep conditioners! I apply it after a wash or cowash...finger detangling my 4b/4c hair is much easier with less breakage. I leave in for 30 minutes, rinse, to reveal shiny, soft and moisturized coils:-) Since I dc every week, my only semi-complaint would be the size of the product, 8oz. Only lasts me 3-4 washes.

Oh my god. I have thick, 4c hair, that is always dry. As I was washing this out (after 30 min) my first thought was, "Oh my God... this has made my hair so soft." My hair was super easy to detangle and comb through, which is great because my kinky curls usually interweave and make coming difficult. Plus, this conditioner has a great scent- like cake batter.I am a believer. No more searching for deep conditioners! I love that this conditioner also doesn't have any bad things in there.

I can't count how many times I've went to this website trying to order this deep conditioner and it was always out of stock. I finally was able to order some, and it was worth the wait! I knew it was going to do great things, because as soon as I put it on my hair, my hair started feeling super soft. Great product, great scent and great price!

Upon putting on my hair, it moisturized it instantly allowing me to comb through with ease! Smells great, like a cake or something and did what it was supposed to do at more than half the price of a lot of higher named brands that do hardly nothing. Will definitely purchase again. Was beyond pleased.

Loved it! Smelled great and left my hair feeling so soft. I was recovering from a wee bit of a protein overload and this product did the trick. I think I'll try their twising butter next.

Wish I would have found this product a long time ago. I use this as a deep conditioner and a leave-in. I've been shedding so much less since using this. This keeps my hair moisturized and more manageable. I also use it on my ends....barely any SSKs. Holy grail & I don't say that often with products.

I used this deep condish on my low porosity medium strands and was in love. I was able to detangle with ease and the smell was amazing. I sat under my steamer for about 25 minutes and had the softest hair ever. This may be a holy grail dc.

My hair is medium thickness, normal porosity and normal elasticity. I follow the CG method. My routine is to deep condition my hair in twists overnight and then rinse/detangle in the morning. I mixed this conditioner with raw honey, cinnamon and a little oil before applying it. It did a fair job of softening and moisturizing my hair but my WNG started getting dry after only 2 days. If I deep condition with As I Am hydration elation I get moisturized hair for 5 days. The product has a pleasant, light fragrance that isn't at all overpowering.

This stuff did exactly what it said it was gonna do. Smells wonderful and makes the hair extremely soft. I DC'd after washing and let it sit for over an hour (on accident). It kinda reminds me of KCCC in smell but its a DC. The ONLY problem I have is that I wish it came in a larger size b/c I used 3/4 of the jar on one application.

This is the answer to protein overload! I was suffering from hard, brittle hair due to overuse of protein products. Nothing would soften my hair. I am a certified pj (lol), so I was afraid to try yet another product. As usual, I fell off the wagon and purchased this product... TA DAAAH! Soft, moisturized hair! Did I mention that I am low porosity? Well, yeah, I am. Protein overload AND low porosity...bad combination. Curlycue ReNew, under a plasic cap, under the dryer for 20 minutes= success. Give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. My hair remained moist when it was completely dry. That, my curlfriends is a first!
