Ehh. After using this for over 6 months, I can honestly say that the product is so-so. Living in the south, I need some serious help with my frizz, and this did not hold my hair (even with the arc angel). The smell was okay, but it feels sticky and does not last. For me it's not worth it.

My curls are 3a/b, coarse, low-porosity, and majorly frizz-prone. I have tried dozens of mousses over the years and I've basically hated every one of them. Mousses are usually "frizz-in-a-can", even when used with other products. This mousse is really different. It doesn't have much hold, but it does seem to soften my hair and help with frizz. I use a leave-in conditioner , and when I use this "foam" with gel (even with Deva Light gel, which is way too wimpy for my uncompromising hair), I love the softness and bounce of my curls! "Bouncy" is an adjective I apply to my hair very rarely...like once every 10 years...For around 8 hours, this mousse gives me soft, bouncy curls with little frizz. If I try to use the same products for second-day hair, I wind up with fuzzy crinkles instead of curls. Still, having the soft bounce for a few hours is definitely worth it, once in a while! This product is very concentrated and I don't even want to think about the results if I accidentally used too much of it. Start with a little...add more if needed...

I really like this stuff for my 3a/b curls. It gives me great curl, and as long as I don't use too much, no crunch. Definitely will buy again.

I recently had a drastic cut, where I shortened the back about 8 inches and left the front longer. I love the cut and it has done wonders for my hair styling. My hair dresser said she loved this product and used it on me the first day. I, however, hated it. This gave me absolutely NO Definition. My hair was frizzy by the end of the day. I had to go home and shower right away to do my normal routine. I would think this product would be great for girls with more wavy textures than mine. My hair is between 3b and 2a depending on its mood :).

I don't know if my hair is too thick, but it did little to nothing in my hair. I only put it in my hair because I like the smell of it and its not like it will weigh down my hair because its light. The good thing is it also isn't drying, like mousses tend to be.

This product is amazing! Using only DEVA for 30 days will transform your curls! They will be more defined and controlled..Getting a Deva cut really helps as well. If you live anywhere near Central Florida, please call us to get you started on the Deva system and cut!

I really like this product: it gives my 3C curls a good amount of hold without making my curls stiff or making my hair look like it has a ton of product in it. It also smells really nice, almost candy-/Skittles-like (which is great because I am not a fan of the fragrances of the other Deva products). I'm giving it 4 stars because I did need to use quite a bit of this stuff during the hot, humid summer to keep the frizz down, and while the product did its job (and like I said before, didn't make my hair crunchy despite using a lot), I think it's too expensive to use on a regular basis. The bottle lasted about a month and I just can't afford to pay $25 a month for one hair product. Too bad.

This product is neither frizz free nor volumizing. It makes them hard and frizzy. Not a good look. Woudn't recommend this.

I hated this. It did nothing except make my hair feel sticky. No definition, no frizz control. I sometimes use it as hair spray when my hair is pulled back to use it up.

I have 3a/3b curls. I tried this product after I tried DevaCurl NoPoo, One Condition, and Defining Gel. I had high hopes for this product since I loved the other products, but I was disappointed with it. It left my hair frizzy and crunchy. I ended up returning it because there was no way I could work with it and definitely not worth its high sticker price of nearly $25

I love this product. I live in a very humid tropical climate and so I have used strong hold gel and mousse to control frizz. I have thrown all of my strong hold gels and mousses away after I tried this product. I use a cleansing conditioner to wash my hair, then I put a little bit on my hair as a leave-in. Then I add about 5 pumps of this foam all over my medium length dripping wet hair and I scrunch with a micro fiber towel and air dry. My curls have definition (without twirling), no frizz, great shine and what I like about this product the most is that I can get my hair to go to day 3 without using anymore product. I can just spray my hair with a light leave-in conditioner to re-shape my curls and they stay voluminous all day long! The product is liquid inside the bottle but pumps out as a foam. There is quite a bit of product in the bottle I suspect this will last me about 4 months so it is well worth the money. I will re-purchase this foam.

This product is such a wonderful product that helps my curls bounce. The only thing you need to know is this product goes in COMPLETELY wet. You want your hair to be dripping and not towel dried at all.

I have been using Deva Curl products for about 5 years, and really like a few of them. This one is just ok.
It makes my hair frizzy. When I use it, it make a halo of frizz around my fine, porous curly/wavy hair.
I may keep playing with it though. Sometimes, it's not that there is anything wrong with the products, but
just learning how to use them.

LOVE this stuff! It's my first deva product! I had to use quite a bit, but gave me really nice curl! And it smells really nice. Wish it wasn't so expensive but my curls weren't crunchy :)

This product did not work by itself for me; it left my hair dry and frizzy. However, I gave it 4 curls because it does work when you use the DevaCurl Light Defining Gel over the foam. The DevaCurl line overall stopped working for me after 6 months and left my hair flat and dry and my scalp dry and itchy but I still use the foam and gel but a different sulfate free shampoo and silicone free conditioner.

I love this! I used only this after shampoo and conditioning. I scrunched it in with nothing else and got masses of light, bouncy shiny curls and some pretty ringlets even though I didn't twirl. The dewpoint was around 70 but I didn't get frizz. I like this better than any gel I have used and if it' behaves consistently it will be my new HG. I'm thrilled!

I am in love with this product. I give it 4 curls instead of 5 because when using this product alone and going to the beach my hair frizzed up a bit. On a day to day i use this alone and it holds my curls give me the volume I want and is completely soft to the touch. My hair always looks shiny and i am always getting compliments.
My clients have also fallen in love with it. I sometimes will recommend clients to put a small amount of AnGel or Arc AnGel after using the volumizing foam for added hold.
I am so glad I can try these products and give honest feedback to my clients!

I'm a fan of Deva products. It took me a good 2 years of experimentation (with both Deva and other brands) to figure out a reliable routine, but now I'm using Deva products exclusively, with consistently great results. I usually use a thin layer of One Condition as a leave in on soaking wet hair, followed by B'Leave In and then ArcAngell on the ends, then I scrunch dry curls with the Deva towel and allow to air dry. I substitute this foam for B'Leave In when I want my hair to be more voluminous. It gives me more messy, sexy, less ringlet-y curls, but still just as defined as with the other routine. I'm a fan!

This is a great product; it gives my curls good definition and they look great throughout the day! I usually wouldn't spend this much on a product like this, but it seems like the bottle is going to last a LONG time. My only complaint is that my hair sometimes gets "crunchy" if I use too much of this product.

This stuff was great for Volumizing and had a decent hold, but the results were inconsistent. I got stringy hair and weird pieces with it at all times but sometimes the curls would form beautifully and voluminous, and sometimes they would be frizzy stringy waves. It's not worth the $25, I'm returning it. It want bad it just wasn't great for my hair. Deva makes better products that go well for me. (like ArcAngel)

I have used this for a week over DevaCurl One C as a leave-in, various Marie Dean leave-ins and Sevi. It has consistently given me volume, shine and a fairly strong hold with soft hair. I did try Angell over it once and it felt producty. I have not found a need for an additional gel. I get great clumps with it and nice spirals. I do use several pumps of it but the bottle doesn't seem to be dropping quickly. I had gotten away from Deva but this has been a pleasant surprise. Only 4 curls because I need to experiment longer.

I am picky about mousses and this one passes my test. Great curl formation, root lifter and shine. You have to be careful to not use too much. Once you get the hang of it it is a super new product. This is the only Deva product that I have had luck with. I used it over a leave-in conditioner and was very happy with the results. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is that it takes a long time to dry.

I had high hopes for this, since I love AG Volumizing Foam, but this does not compare. Using varying amounts, it didn't add any shine to my hair or control the floofy-ness as well. Every DevaCurl product, except the B'Leave In, seems to have the same effect on my hair no matter how I apply and style - coated and dull. Besides the AG Foam, Bumble and Bumble's Curl Conscious Holding Foam works better. I was so disappointed I returned this to Ulta.
