Description

Moisture Balancing Conditioner is a dual-purpose, moisture-adjusting product. This smart formula adjusts moisture as needed and works two ways.

As a one-minute rinse out, it boosts moisture levels with essential lipids and proteins. As a leave-in lotion, it provides continuous moisturizing and suppleness to unusually dry hair.

These lipids and fatty acids mimic hair and scalp natural moisture. Squalane, a natural component of hair and scalp moisture, is used in this formula to replenish and restore moisture balance (this special ingredient comes from olives). Lipids provide subsurface hydration, optimizing moisture levels and detangle hair to create manageability. Hydrolyzed proteins process from natural wheat, lock in moisture to prevent dehydration.

I love this stuff I use it for everything, co wash, deep dt, and it is an Excellent leave-in. No build up what so ever. Keeps my hair soft and, moisturized. The slip is awesome. Will buy again:-)

By far the best detangling conditioner I've encountered. I have 3c/4a hair and my sister has 3a/3b hair. We both agreed that this conditioner melted our tangles away, and has awesome slip as a rinse off conditioner. A little goes a very long way. ( I used just a nickel size amount for hair length a little above my shoulders.) Apparently this is also apt as a deep conditioner and a leave in conditioner. I would encourage anyone to buy the liter, just to save money when you come running back for more! You won't be discouraged. Replacing my Tresemme Naturals.

I love this stuff. It's nice and thick. It conditions my 3b hair nicely without loosing any body in my hair. I've used this and the Elucence Shampoo for about 8-10 years now. I've tried others but keep coming back to my Elucence.

This was excellent at rinsing out my henna gloss treatment. It foamed so I only had to do like three washes and all the henna was out. I won't repurchase because trader Joe's nourish spa conditioner does the same thing for $3. But it is a good co-wash conditioner.

For me, this relatively affordable conditioner with such excellent reviews was too good to be true. Bought several times because I wanted to like it. I can't say that this conditioner negatively affected the health or appearance of my hair, or else I wouldn't have gotten thru two full bottles. However, it didn't produce any noticeable positive effect either. I just really hated the feel of this conditioner. Felt really drying and had virtually no slip for me. Literally felt like my hair was more knotted with conditioner than before. I finally sprang for the more expensive but equally well reviewed mop top and am so glad I did. Although more than twice the price it works more than twice as well for my hair.

This stuff does it. I wasn't sold at first because I used it as a conditioner and put a KBB leave-in on after. Personally, this worked better AS the leave-in than it did as a cowash conditioner. After 4 or 5 days using this as a leave-in—no joke—the hair compliments were off the charts. It was almost bizarre because you had to wonder what you looked like before! Ha! Anyway, highly recommended. Give it a couple days to take its effect.

I am transitioning out of a texlax and the hair that's growing in looks to be 4b/4c. I heard many great reviews on this conditioner and I agree with them for the most part. It is very creamy and feels VERY nice going on. It makes detangling very easy. After rinsing it out it did leave my hair feeling stronger but also hard/straw like. Maybe I'm protein sensitive? I do give it 4 stars because I was being very lazy and didn't moisturize my hair after cowashing with it for about 3 days...but every time I touched my hair it felt SUPER SOFT! Still undecided whether I'll repurchase. I've used it twice now

This conditioner has pros and cons. Pros are that it slightly foams which is good for co-washing, the smell is good, it has good ingredients, and is relatively cheaper than most conditioners out there, and it spreads super easily so i barely need a lot to really saturate my hair. Cons are that it did not moisturize my low porosity hair and did nothing else for it. it is really good for detangling,

while I was transitioning, this conditioner was my saviour. the scent isn't distracting, it had a nice amount of slip, and left my hair so soft & shiny every time.

My hair type is 2B and very long and thick and I recently decided to completely embrace my waves and drop all my straight-hair routines, like dry brushing, etc. This means I need to comb my hair with a wide-tooth comb every day when I shower. This conditioner is perfect to use for this. I use about a quarter size and apply to the lower third of my hair, leave in for a few minutes, work the comb gently through my hair, and rinse well with ice cold water. This conditioner combines the great moisturizing power of a heavy conditioner, but is light enough that I can use it every day without it weighing my hair down. Definitely recommended for wavies!

Love this leave-in! I have used it in two different ways. As a conditioner in the shower, which left my hair very soft. Had great slip too!. I also used it is as a leave - in when my hair needs extra TLC. This helped my hair stay manageable for a few days. It has also worked well as a "pick me up" for second day hair. I placed some in a spray bottle mixed with water and used this to refresh my curls on the next day. Worked very well!! Don't use too much though or it can leave a greasy feeling. But that's probably true with all products.

Maybe I was expecting too much based on the reviews from this conditioner. It wasn't moisturizing enough nor did it provide enough slip. I now use this conditioner for pre poo treatments and henna gloss treatments. Occasionally I may use it as a leave in conditioner but that's only if nothing else is in the bathroom to use as a leave in with me at the time. The conditioner works great for those purposes, so I gave it 3 stars. Also it contains great ingredients. I was almost tempted to repurchase it because it works so well with my pre poo and henna gloss treatments. But I will not be repurchasing.

I brought this based on the awesome reviews. This conditioner felt like it stripped everything out of my hair. I pre-pooed all night with DBPC and coconut oil. When I rinsed my hair it felt lovely until I put this conditioner on and rinsed. It almost felt like I clarified my hair. I brought the liter. I'm really smh at myself. Lol. That was a very dumb move. I guess I might can use it for co-washing out my henna treatments. I can't let it go to waste and collect dust. Lol. Def won't repurchase.

I really, really like this conditioner. My hair felt really soft and moisturized and was that way for several days...that's saying something from someone who's hair is always thirsty. I used this after As I Am co-wash as a regular conditioner, and then I did use a little as a leave in also. Have already ordered a second bottle, and this time I will get the shampoo to try as well.

I just made a review for the Curl Junkie smoothing leave in. After I posted I kept thinking about how much moisture my hair had when i was doing my twists and that I didn't have to rewet it NOT ONCE. My entire head stayed wet while i was doing my twists. Then I remembered that i used THIS as my conditioner. Now it makes sense. I really believe this is what caused my hair to have so much moisture to begin with. The CJ leave in was a bonus, it was creamy and had moisture too. I put this conditioner on and sat under the dryer for about 20-30 minutes. I have been wanting to try this for awhile. I'm mad at myself for waiting so long. As i previously posted, I am a true product junkie. As for conditioners, I have at least 15 bottles in my closet. Some i use sometimes some i like more than others. This one I will be using consistently.

Elucence MBC is my holy grail! I have fine, long, 2b/c-3a hair and the protein this conditioner has gives me the extra oomph my curls need. It's super moisturizing but doesn't weigh my hair down at all, and that's a big problem I've always running into. It has a strong scent, but once you get past that, it does wonders for your hair. It has great slip too, so detangling is a breeze. The price is phenomenal as well! I got mine for $6 with a Curlmart coupon. I suggest this to anyone that has protein-loving hair and needs a good rinse out conditioner. :-)

I am reviewing as a Type 2c (some 2b) with fine, thinning, healthy hair that is totally natural, having had no coloring, straightening chemicals, or hot tools used on it. I purchased this conditioner in the hopes that it would moisturize without weighing down my hair. At the same time, I purchased the Volume Clarifying Shampoo, and have so far only used them in combination with each other. After using them several times now, I am ready to report that I am happy with my purchase. My hair is shiny, with bounce and swing, and I have not been able to detect a relaxing of my curls, which form very naturally in their round ringlets without any stiffness or stickiness. Meanwhile, I have as much body as I think it's possible for my few hairs to have! I should add that I use softened water and added a tiny bit of Curl Junkie Coffee Coco Curl Creme Lite as my only styling product. Being winter in Indiana now, the humidity is very low, so it will be interesting to see how these products perform during the high-humidity summer. Before this, I was not using any moisturizer (just shampoo and CJCCCCL), because my past experience has been that moisturizers weigh down and straighten my hair, but this combination does not do that, and now my hair looks shinier and healthier. I can't speak much to its ability to detangle or soften, because my hair is always soft anyway and tangling is not a problem either (I don't have many hairs to get tangled up with each other!), although I notice that my hair is very slick when wet now.

I love this product in combination with Kinky Curly Knot Today as a detangler. KCKT by itself does not leave my hair moisturized, but defines much better than Elucence which is why I use both together. Definitely a staple, especially for the price. Not giving 5 stars because the semll is soooooooooo freakin strong. Like someone broke into a hair salon and emptied all the products on the floor. Wahhhh

Posted by 4B Coily Nasa (Type 4b) on 11/04/2013

It was definitely not a deep conditioner. Didn't penetrate very well at all. I had to add honey and olive oil to it for it to work. However; because I am able to use it as a leave-in is the reason I give it 1 star. I don't see what all the rave is concerning this brand.

Ordered this to try based on the reviews and the awesome price. It was a great purchase! I always worry about product scents when I buy things online, but the smell to this is pretty nice .It's kinda sweet and fruity, and doesn't linger in your hair after. I use it as a regular conditioner, to detangle, and as a leave-in. It works great as all three, and detangles especially well on my hair. I have super super thick 2c hair, with like a 3a or 3b underlayer. I will probably buy the biggest size next time! But seriously try this if you are looking for an inexpensive moisturizing/ good detangling conditioner.

    Posted by yasmin29abu (Type 3c) on 10/29/2013

I like how it detangles my hair pretty well and soaks up the moisture in my hair like it's supposed to. I section my hair into four but i tend to put a lot more conditioner in the back more than i do in the front sections. Although it gets the job done, roughly around 15-20 minutes of detangling, i feel like the consistency is too light. It definitely leaves my hair touchably soft after i let it soak in my hair for 5 minutes and after my hair dries. It's a pretty good leave-in conditioner.

My hair loves, loves, loves this conditioner! Great for co-washing my 3b/c hair. Excellent slip and moisturizing. I leave a little bit on as a leave-in. I bought the liter and the pump to use directly from the shelf in my shower. Agree with the other reviewers that it has a "interesting" smell but not offensive at all. Definitely on my HG list permanently!

This is a great conditioner that leaves your hair soft and moisturized. I add castor and sweet almond oil to it and use it as a deep conditioning treatment. I am sure this would make a great leave-in. I am about 10 weeks post relaxer and using this enables me to soften new growth easily. I absolutely love the fact that the ingredients in this conditioner (high on the list) all promote hair growth. I have heard great things about this brand and plan on using it for a while. If I could change anything about it, I would want it to be more thicker. I will disregard the consistency of this product since it has great ingredients and serves its purpose. I purchased the 10 oz bottle to start off but since I plan on making this a staple of mine, I will be purchasing the liter to make sure I will not run out. I failed to mention -the price is GREAT for the 10 oz and the liter!!!!

My daughter has 3b hair with sections of 3c at the temples. We use this to co-wash and as a leave-in (sealed with Miss Jessie's Jelly Soft Curls) to style, and it keeps her hair well defined, tangle-free, and glossy. Beautiful product, and you can't beat it at the liter price. Even with daily use, this container will last us several months, and we'll definitely be buying it again and again.

I have been transitioning to my natural hair since January. As a result, I've been experimenting with different products, particularly conditioners. When I read the reviews of Elucence, I decided to give it a "go" after using Deva's One Conditioner exclusively for months. I love this product. I co-wash with "One", condition with Elucence, and do a partial rinse. My hair feels light and has the slip I need to proceed with my styling gel. Air drying time is reduced and the result, soft, shiny, moisturized hair. LOVE Elucence Conditioner.

Oh My Goodness, this conditioner is the best I've EVER experienced in my life! I can honestly say that (as long as this formula stays as is) I will always use this AMAZING conditioner for my hair.
I use mine as a leave in...I simply co wash with a cheepy cond (herbal essence hello hydration, usually) and I apply this cond as my leave in, then apply a coconut and olive oil (both oils organic) to seal my strands, and thats it! My hair stays moisturized and lovely for 3 to 4 days without needing anything more than an occasional s curl spritz and reseal with oils on day 4, and 5; I wash my hair on day 6. This conditioner has transformed my hair from brittle and dry to well hydrated, managable, moist curls. Although a little on the expensive side, I've invested in the liter sizes for my hair. The liter size last me a little over a month; I am generous with this conditioner when applying to my hair.
I am 3c/4a hair type....hair is super thick and very dry....I relax my hair 4 times a year

I was skeptical about this product, like all others I've used in the past but boy was I wrong. I have 3A hair. This product is GREAT! I didn't brush or comb my hair before jumping in the shower so needless to say it was all curly and tangled up. I put this conditioner in and it was an instant wave of smooth silk just washing over my scalp! Only a minute in and it creates miracles, and what I found really impressive is I use the no shampoo method, and I felt like my scalp was truly clean. I would recommend this product to anyone with curly hair, completely worth every single dime!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. It works great as a leave-in conditioner. BCed 2 weeks ago so wash 'n goes have been my staple and this stuff is perfect for that kind of moisture. The fact that it's huge and affordable has also gone a long way in its favour. I sense a repurchase in the future.

I love this conditioner! I've used it as a daily, deep and as a leave-in. This works so well and is dependable with each new bottle. I've also shared it with a few curly friends and they were able to notice shinier, smoother, moisturized curls with one use. The shampoo...the moisture benefits is also really good, too. The price is amazing for a liter compared to so many other brands. I've ordered a few liters of both so that I'll have back ups and won't run out and also to share with friends! Love it!

If you've read ANY of my recent reviews, you know of my deep frustration over being forced to relinquish my HG 'poo and condish for a different brand more suited to the desert climate my 2C/3A-B tendrils have been subjected to since moving to Nevada from Florida just under a year and a half ago (see other reviews for those brands). It has been a major undertaking with the copious amount of research I conducted just to find products that would not further deplete the much-needed moisture from my already thirsty mane.

Enter Elucence. Imagine my surprise when I discovered a brand that not only came with rave reviews, but its price tag most certainly did NOT match the quality it was purported to possess. It is even named appropriately: MOISTURE BALANCING. It is neither too heavy nor too light...it is just right to handle my dehydrated locks in this moisture deficient place and comes with an ever-so-subtle peachy scent that's barely noticeable after the hair is dry. I liked both this Moisturizing Conditioner and two of the shampoos (see reviews) so much, I purchased liter-sized bottles after the smaller ones ran out.

I could not believe how good my hair looked after this conditioner. Since my scalp is prone to getting oily and having dandruff, I have to avoid putting it on my scalp so it won't build up. Worked wonderfully with the elucence clarifying shampoo.

I just bought the shampoo and conditioner yesterday. Of course I havent had the chance to use the shampoo yet but so far I'm really liking the conditioner. I used it as a leave-in and I have to say out of the many products I've tried this is the first that didn't leave an extremely greasy feeling. I have 4a hair and it left it feeling soft and moisturized. I only gave it 4 stars because I haven't had the chance to really use it. If it continues like this, it will definitely become my staple. I say its a must try!

The only reason this is getting 4 instead of 5 curls is because I WISH it smelled like the Moisture Benefits Shampoo. Other than that small drawback (because it does smell good in its own right, just not as good as the luscious shampoo), this conditioner is everything a curly girl could need: enough slip for detangling (even on dry hair), and divinely moisturizing without leaving a residue or weighing curls down.

I give it 4.5 Stars! I have 3C - 4B combo hair and I really like this conditioner as a leave-in/ styler for my wash-in-go's. It's light, moisturizing and doesn't leave a chalky film feeling or hard cast like other conditioners. It has just enough casting qualities to hold, prevent frizz and still allow movement. I love that it doesn't leave a dull film, allowing for a natural sheen. No jericurl look here. My only complaint is the fragrance, which personally I'm not a fan of but to each her own. The fragrance reminds me of pink oil moisturizer... yuck. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. Not sure the smell will make me a repeat buyer; however I still recommend it.

I used to use the Aubrey Organics conditioner, but I always felt like my really find 3c hair didn't detangle enough. I need something with conditioning power and lots of slip, otherwise I end up with really bad breakage.

This conditioner actually works really well. It doesn't feel like its doing the job, but once I out of the shower, I am super happy with the results.

I do follow this with a leave in conditioner.

I am Syrian and Colombian, so I have thick curly hair. My hair is so soft, moisturized and happy without feeling weighed down. I put a couple drops of pure argan oil to this product and then finish with AG Recoil. Perfect hair every time. LOVE the clean ingredients. Will be a staple in my routine.

Pros: Great as a leave-in condition - not too heavy, great price, pleasant fragrance
Cons: Not as much slip as other products I've used, needed to use a lot to de-tangle my hair

Although it's back to the drawing board for me, I won't completely dismiss this product. ;-)

I was extremely disappointed by this product. I co-wash daily, and for that I really want a single conditioner which can help cleanse my scalp, but also keep my hair moisturized. This felt more drying even than the sulfate-free shampoos I use weekly. I had to follow up with another conditioner for enough moisture, and my hair still felt dryer than usual afterward. I hate to just throw out products, but this one might have to go. I would have given it one star, but I'll bump it up to two for the great price. At least if I throw this out, I'm only wasting $8 instead of $20.

As a regular conditioner, I did not like this product all that much. I bought it when I was relaxed and was looking for a more natural alternative to alot of the conditioners that was readily available for relaxed hair. After I went natural and tossed most of my products for relaxed hair, I decided to keep this conditioner because of the ingredients. It was not all that great as a leave in, which is how I was originally using it because it is very light. I found it to leave somewhat of a waxy residue on my hair if I used more than a tiny dollop as a leave in. Then I tried to use it as a regular conditioner, and I was still not impresswed. Nothing super moisturizing or conditioning about this conditioner. My hair doesn't tangle that much and it is generally not hard for me to de-tangle my hair, so it is not really necessary for me to have a detangling conditioner. As a deep conditioner, this did not really deep condition my hair. This was the best for me a co-wash conditioner. I don't co-wash that frequently, I mostly shampoo with a sulfate free shampoo. When I did use this as a co-wash, I felt like the foaming action was really getting my hair clean without stripping my hair of any moisture. This works best for me as a co-wash conditioner and I would re-purchase this item again only to use as a co-wash. The price point on this conditioner is great, comparing it to most other conditioners available from curlmart, so it gains points on that.

Sometimes this works for me and sometimes it doesn't. And when it doesn't, it really doesn't--tangles everywhere, and my hair looks dry when it's wet. I've tried it as both a rinse out and as a leave-in and it's just not consistent enough to repurchase. Shame though, since the price is right.

3b, very high density and very low porosity hair; this product detangles but I saw no improvement with moisture. I bought the liter bottle, used over half of it and my hair was still dry as hay. My hair rarely responds though to even the most intensive salon dry hair treatments, so I can't speak for every 3b but if your hair is as dry and thick as mine, it is unlikely this product will be strong enough to help.

4c hair! I have EXTREMELY tight beautifully nappy hair (that somehow makes cute small slinky type curls when sopping wet-but I digress). I used this as a co-wash and was not extremely impressed. I don't care too much about slip if the co-wash will add a little moisture or begin to soften my hair. When I put it on, it didn't have very much slip but did not add or detract from me being able to detangle my hair. I should note that prior to co-washing or pooing I always do an oil tx with sweet almond or grapeseed oil, 2 - 3 tbsp honey, 3 drops ylang ylang, 3 drops peppermint, ~1 tsp vitamin E, coconut oil and a few squirts shea moisture conditioner, which I leave in for 20 - 30 min. with heat under a shower cap then rinse out. So my hair is already soft prior to shampooing or co-washing. This product used as a co-wash didn't add anything to that softness, when I rinsed it out it actually took away some of the softness that the oil tx left behind but I feel as though since i'm using this to mildly cleanse my hair..this was ok. This product wasn't great but reading others reviews maybe I will try to use as a leave in, it looks like the same consistency as my favorite Giovanni leave in. I'll come back and report once I try this as a leave in.

Also on a separate note I purchased the extended moisture elucence conditioner for a protein tx. HORRIBLE it was less viscous than this product. I used it with heat for ~ 30 min. and when I washed it out my hair and ends were extremely dry. I think it was too much protein for my hair or that my hair reacted badly with the specific protein used in it. So if /when you are doing protein tx pay attention to the type of protein in the conditioner, (e.g., milk protein, hydrolyzed protein, keratin, etc) so that you can start to figure out how your hair responds since many conditioners have proteins that aren't readily recognizable.

I have 3c/4a hair and this conditioner is amazing! I live in Chicago so I have to have a conditioner sans the glycerin if I wanna avoid frizz city. So Elucence has proven to be a wonderful replacement for my winter time conditioner Kinky Curly KT. It detangles wonderfully, it's a great co-wash product (to stretch out the time btw shampooing), and provides excellent moisture as a leave-in. This is without a doubt my favorite conditioner. The ONLY reason I can not give it 5 curls is because I have to order it online. Otherwise it is a 5 curl product. This is a protein containing conditioner, so those that are protein sensitive should use caution. For me, it contains JUST the right amount of protien and moisturizers and it detangles like a dream. I've used it as a cowash, a rinse out conditioner, a leave in, and as a deep conditioner (with oils and honey) and each way that I've used it I have been amazed at results. I always try to keep a liter in my bathroom because when my hair is extra tangly or just not acting right, I can reach for this and know that my hair will respond.

Several months ago I decided to give this product a try after all the hype about it. Unfortunately my hair reacted badly to this product. I used it as a rinse out and as a leave in and it left my hair feeling hard and very dry and like it would crumble at the slightest touch. It's possible that it could be the type of protein that's used in this product. I use other products with protein in them and don't have a problem with them.

All I can say is OMG! What an awesome product, the conditioner is natural and feels luxurious on, but also leaves my hair feeling moisutrized and easier to manage. I am a transitioning 4a/b and have experienced hair loss when after poo and co, but this greatly reduced the shredding post wash. I recommend the shampoo and condish for anyone transitioning and worried about hair loss. Also the condish can be used as a leave in which also works wonders in this way.

Wonderfully remarkable product! Detangled and softened my 4A curls. Right now, I'm doing the CG thing, but I still miss my Elucence conditioner. If I ever cheat, this is what I will cheat with!

I had not so great results (nice slip but dried w/o shine and drying to my hair) with the litre size I bought years ago but was reluctant to swap it away. I've recently pulled it out to try it as a leave-in. By itself and gel yeielded not so greta results but when I paired it up with Aveda's Universal Styling cream = Wow!! I got coily defintion in the perpetually fuzzy areas near my ears and weight that I need. I'll use this as a flex cheaper option to Aveda's Be Curly.

THANK GOODNESS! This is definately what my hair has been searching for! Great moisture and my hair loves it. The smell is okay (the shampoo is YUMMY!), and the detangling is pretty good too. I love that I can use it as a leave in. It makes a lot of room on my shelf because all I need is this, some gel, and the shampoo.

    This conditioner is ALL THAT!

4B: This is the best shampoo/conditioner combo ever. When i first went natural over a year ago I thought my hair would never be soft and manageable. Thank goodness I was sooo wrong.

My hair is 2b to 3b depending on humidity in the air. I wanted to love this product from the reviews it recieved. It made my hair soft and full but full of frizz. When reading reviews and buying products; buy the small size to see if it works for you.

This is a good conditioner to use. It detangled well and the moisturizing was OK. Not overly great, but not bad either. It does have good ingredients in it and I would purchase it again.Elucence makes good quality hair care products at a very reasonable price.

I used to love this stuff, but I feel like John Masters Organics Citrus and Neroli detangler is better for my hair. It leaves my hair a lot softer than this. I have 3c hair.

I expected this product to be better than sliced bread the way people are talking about it and it's ranking on the "Top Sellers" in the CurlMart, but it's just ALRIGHT. The price tag was attractive compared to other conditioners on here, but that's about it. Moisture was ehh, slip was ehh, and the smell was...smelled like cough syrup.

I don't know whats wrong with me, but my 3a hair doesn't seem to like any of the best-sellers/reviewers. I didn't really like the smell to start off, and had to use loads to feel like it was doing anything for moisture. It worked better as a leave in conditioner, but still left my hair dry and barely less tangled.

The best condioner I have used in a really long time, though it was not amazing. However, I was completely impressed with how soft and moisturized my curls felt. Detangling not superb, but did a decent job on my thick 3c curls. Overall, a pretty nice conditioner. Will use again in the future.

    Update:
Initially great. Continued use caused my protein sensitive hair to be dry and brittle. No slip or moisture as a leave-in or co-wash/DT. I'm so disappointed w/all the raves about this one.

Posted by teshon (Type 3c) on 10/14/2007

This is a great leave-in conditioner for me. It wasn't too moisturizing as a co-wash, DT conditioner, though. My hair was soft and shiny. Loved the peachy smell! I was able to layer stylers over it. It's a staple for me!

I have fine, VERY curly mixed-race hair, and it's hard to find a conditioner that gives enough moisture, detangles, and doesn't build up. This one is definitely the best of the many, many conditioners I've tried! Good slip, great moisture, nice smell, and no silicone. I can leave a lot in my hair after rinsing without any nasty buildup, and it complements my other products.

I really love the ingredients in this product. It all sounds so nourishing. However, the detangling properties are pretty modest. It works like every other conditioner;however, I have experienced better conditioners which give my hair more slip after usage.

Like I said with the poo, I sent away for this product based on the favorable reviews and you guys didn't steer me wrong. I've used these products 3 times now and I'm noticing FAR LESS STRAW and more SOFT CURL formation. It's nice to have something that adds moisture without adding a thick coat of goo!

This conditioner is my absolute favorite conditioner ever. It smells like heaven, and it leaves my hair more fantastically soft and moisturized than any other conditioner I've used. It leaves my hair in the best shape, and doesn't over-condition. Perfect as a leave in, too. I'll never be without this in my shower!

I am very close to declaring this a HG. Very moisturizing, but not too heavy abd doesn't weigh down my fine hair. I am currently out of it and really missing it. No other conditioner works as consistently for me. My next order, I'm ordering the liter size.

the best conditioner!!! it does everything! you can use it as a detangler, leave-in, co-wash, dt...and it even cooks and cleans too! haha! but seriously, i always come back to this conditioner when my hair product experiments go awry. when i first used it, it was just average. but it took a few tries before it kicked in, then WOW!!! (it probably took a few tries at first because my hair was so dry/damaged and/or previous product buildup) definite staple!!!

I bought this product after reading all the great reviews about it. The first day I tried it, I just used it as a wash-out conditioner, and thought that it was ok but nothing that different than some other things I've tried in the past. I think maybe I just didn't use enough, because today I used more of it & left it on a bit longer before rinsing. Then I also mixed some of it in with my styling gel (FX Curls Up Reactivator). WOW!! HUGE difference! I had an awesome amount of curl - soft, defined, bouncy, full of volume. The best hair day I've had in a long time! I will definately buy this product again.

Superior detangler, smells nice, and a little goes a long way. I used about a nickel size amount for each section of my hair (4 sections). I also had significantly less shedding when I combed. Left my hair soft.

great conditioner! i love it as a rinse-out and a leave-in, i've also added honey and oils to it for a DT, and i've even used it as a washing conditioner. only complaints are that it is not the best detangler i've ever used (devacurl one condition is better IMO) and i notice as i'm rinsing it out that it seems to lather a bit. great price too.

Posted by urbancurl (Type 3b) on 07/26/2005

It's very detangling for rinse-out conditioning, but as a leave-in, my hair looks like cotton-candy. If I add honey, it looks shiny and bouncy, but to earn 4 curls from me, a product has to look great on its own.

I like it ok, but I find that my hair is happier with a conditioner that has cones. Last time I used this conditioner, it left my hair dry and straw-like. I really wanted to like it, but for me, it's just an ok conditioner.

My HG conditionner. It has everything I need, moisture -lots of moisture!, helps with frizz, light enough so it doesn't weight down curls, smells fresh, and just feels amazing in my hair! It's the best detangler I've tried. Also a great leave in. I've tried others, but this is pretty hard to beat.

This officially has become the first conditoner that I will continue to buy in bulk. It is fabulous! I used to think that a conditioner had to have at least one 'cone to be effective. Boy was I wrong. My hair feels so soft and lush after I use this. Makes doing the mod.CG a real treat. Thanks Elucence!!!

I used this conditioner for the first time w/high expectations based on raves and reviews from other girls w/my hair type and I was a little disappointed. Maybe they've had better luck than me because I didn't really notice any softness, detangling, or moisture. It's just like a regular conditioner. OR maybe I'm not getting the same great results as the girls above me due to the fact that I just started the CG routine..maybe it takes a while for things to start "working".
