This product when used with the Hair Nectar or Sweet Ambrosia worked quite nicely, but the product was very runny. It wasn't solid like her other butter that I used. Another reviewer's was a solid, thick butter also.

I was between Jane Carter's Nourish and Shine and KBB Butter love. I'd never tried either before. Went with the Butter love b/c it costs the same to get almost double the amount of KBB then Nourish/Shine (Nourish/Shine is a much smaller qty for about the same $$). I LOVE this butter. Smells great in my hair and is the perfect way to keep my twists and twist outs moisturized and shiny in between washes. I have very thick, low porosity, dense 4a hair and this works great for me. It is going to be a HG product for sure! A little does go a long way, even on thick hair. LOVE THIS STUFF!

This is a very rich hair product. A little goes a long way. Unfortunately, my hair has thinned so, I figured let me try this particular hair product, since it has Vitamin E. I will give a follow up regarding it. The scent is very rich. This can last you for at least 6-8months or longer. I really like it.

I use with my bedtime routine to moisture and it leaves my hair very soft in the morning and easy to style.

I can't rave enough about this product. This is the first review I've ever done but I just felt the need to let people in on this. I have type 3c/4a hair and I have been natural for 2 years. When I say NOTHING has kept my hair moisturized but this product I mean it. I haven't had to reapply for 4 days and I'm positive I can make it the whole week. It has the consistency of a butter but goes on light and doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy. The smell is pleasant also I get compliments daily. I pair it with curl junkie's smoothing lotion and that's all my hair needs.

Love this butter! . Leaves my hair moisturized for days in which is the way I can tell a product to be a great product . As with most of the products from KBB, I am a huge fan !

I love this product, it left my hair super soft and moisturized. A litlle goes a long way and it smells very nice (vanilla lavender). It's bit pricey but you'll get a good use of it for your bucks. The butter was soft to the touch and light weight on my hair. I used as a sealant on my semi wet hair and 2 days later on dry hair and my results were the same, a nice defined and soft twist out. I will buy this product again.

Loved the constancy and how long it keeps my hair moisturized. Also the smell is wonderful and it helps retain *some* of my length. Would recommend :).

Lavender Vanilla smells great. Product was a little too thick for me. It wasn't easy to scoop with fingers. You really have to dig in there and rub between your hands to melt...not convenient for greasing the scalp. Did leave my hair soft.

I love the smell of this butter. A little bit goes a long way. It keeps my hair super moisturized. The only con is when mailed I lost half an oz because it melted.

I really like this product as a sealer on dry hair and I also use to take down my twist outs or braid outs and it gives a nice sheen (non-greasy)...I don't like a greasy oily look! I still like my Oyin Handmade Burnt Sugar Pomade. These are my two staple pomades. They are the best of the best to me.

I like this product, it was easy to use (on near dry/dry hair). Its great as a sealant or to prep my hair for buns or puffs. It smells great (I have the Egyptian Musk). I've had it for almost a year and its still good no mold or anything and more then half left. Only four stars because I hate spending over $2 per ounce on products.

This butter was soft and rich and gave my daughter's 4a/b hair great sheen without being greasy. However, while the Lavender Vanilla scent is nice, it is also very powerful and a bit cloying. I would not recommend using this in conjunction with other products that have any discernible scent as I could see that being a tad overwhelming to the senses. But as far as how the product itself performed, I was very pleased. I will be using it for myself when doing up do's and to smooth down my edges and for both of my daughters (to seal the ends of 2 strand twists after detangling and to smooth edges).

Why did it take me so long to discover this! This is the best butter! It adds the protection of shea butter but it is mixed with enough softer butters and oils that it is easy to use. I have tried Sugar Pomade by Oyin Handmade and it is okay, the Jane Carter's Nourish and Shine is a little too heavy and thick. This is perfect to seal your hair. The best for me 4C hair.

Not too heavy for my fine hair at all. Great sealer.

While this didn't do anything to set it self apart from other similar products. I still found it to be a rather good product. Definitely follow the directions and use sparingly as a little goes a long way. Also do NOT use on wet hair, damp/near dry and dry hair are best with this product. This product was easy to use and did smell good (I have the Egyptian Musk). I've had this product for several months now (about 4) and have barely put a dent in it.

Lastly, this product IS NOT more expensive in comparison to Oyin's Burnt Sugar Pomade which is $12 for 4oz (meaning 8 oz would be near $24) while KBB's Butter Love is 7oz for $18. So again, it's not more expensive you're just getting more product.

I didn't like the sound of the scents on curl mart so I decided to buy it off KBB's website. I got the pomegranate guava scent (which ended up being just a tad too sweet for me). Anyway, the butter is nice and soft. It has to be at room temperature in order for you to properly use it. I use this on my dry 4b curls over some oyin hair dew OR oyin juices and it maintains the softness throughout the day. I love it.

The first few times I used it, I may have used a bit too much because it left my hair really greasy. So, folks, a little will really go a long way. Maybe have a dime-size amount would be good.

I took off one star because of the price. The burnt sugar pomade from oyin to me is much better and a cheaper option. I kinda just bought it to try it. Will I purchase it again? Maybe during a REALLY good sale. Otherwise the expensiveness is kinda unnecessary for six ounces.

5 curls because it really is a good product. BUT i have other products that are much cheaper for the same thing. If you have oyin handmade burnt sugar pomade, regular shea butter, coconut oil, vatika oil, etc. there really is no need to run out and buy this. THIS IS A GOOD PRODUCT, but i already have something that works just as well.

oh, and this isn't a moisturizer! just a yummy blend of oils. Oils are too heavy to style my hair with. I use it to smooth down my edges and protect my ends. good stuff. but i already have other good stuff. ya know? :)

I love this product!!! It's perfect for my twist outs!!! The first time I used it, I didn't follow the directions properly. Your hair has to be damp, or completely dry, for this product to work correctly. It left my hair so soft. :-) I leave mine in the refrigerator, and then take it out-when I'm about to wash my hair. That way, by the time I'm done with my regimen, the butter has soften up. This makes it easier to use. I love the Vanilla Musk scent! However, I don't think CurlMart has that scent...I brought mine directly from Karen's website.

I wasn't a fan of the butter. Coco Lime is only one of the fragrance selections; KBB has a large selection. I prefer the softer butters; this one is too hard for my taste. It is also easy to overuse. It made my hair greasy looking.
