Works on my wavy hair, I use this for beachy waves without the drying that I get from salt sprays. Just scrunch it through and then dry with a diffuser. Freshly dried I get pretty tight curls/coils but once my hair cools and fully dries it relaxes into beachy waves. Day two and three I spritz with a small water bottle full of water and a small drop of PSC, just shake it and spray and it helps smooth out any bedhead weirdness. And I love the scent, I hate smelling like fruit. A bit expensive though, luckily this is one of those products where a little goes a long way.

I am usually not a fan of miss jessie's products...they cost wayyyy too much and in my experience dont really do what they advertise. However, I do LOVE Pillow soft curls. my hair had never been as soft as it has since I started using this. It doesnt really define my curls too well, but it does keep them detangled, soft and manageble all day. I just mix it with my HG Defining Cream (Shea Moisture Coconut Hibiscus Souffle) and Im good to go!

I never used Miss Jessie before, I'm a die hard Deva Curl Girl, but when I saw it on discount at one of my favorite beauty stores in NYC, I couldn't resist. To start, I'll address the smell. It says right on the tube that it's the "fabric softener" for curls, and I think it's so clever it smells just like Downey's Fabric Softener. I realize it may not be ideal for most, but I personally loved it, and so did my finance!
I washed my hair like normal, using Deva Curl No-Poo and then Deva Curl One Condition, which I only did a trickle rince and let the rest in my hair. After blotting the extra conditioner out of my curls with a microfiber towel, I took a palmful of PILLOW SOFT CURLS and scrunched it throughout my hair. I let it air dry and put on a satin bonnet before I went to sleep.
I couldn't get over my curls the next morning, they were soft to the touch and looked like princess curls. Not to mention, my hair looked like it grew an inch or so overnight! It stretched out a couple of my curls, but not enough to make them lose shape. I'm on my third day since I applied it and my hair still looks great! Every morning I mist my hair with homemade lavander water and apply a tiny bit more PILLOW SOFT CURLS on to my hair, and it looks like I just washed it. Best $20 I ever spent.
Note: I don't think this product is meant for those who don't follow the CG methood. I looked at the ingrediants, and many are commonly known not to react well with sulfates. Just a thought to all those who might have trouble with, it reacts pretty well to moisturized curls.

Sadly, this product left tiny flakes in my hair that looked like a light dusting of dandruff in my hair. I've used this product 6 times: without a leave-in, with a leave-in, a little bit without a leave-in, a little bit with a leave-in, a lot with a leave-in, and a lot without a leave-in. The results were still the same--white specks left in my hair.
My hair was soft, full, had a light hold though, and, I loved the scent. Just wished it didn't leave a residue in my hair.

This stuff is a waste of money!!! I bought this product out of desperation after moving to TX. The dry climate was killing my hair. After applying the product, it defined the curl but once it dried, it left my hair looking dull and lifeless. So I tried it to give it a second try, so I applied the product while doing a twist out, and it left my twists frizzy. So it didn''t work for me.

First, I love the smell of Downy, and that's EXACTLY what this smells like. I wasn't sure this would work on my 3c/4a hair for a WNG, but it did! I had a great definition and a surprising amount of hold, even after walking around for a couple hours in the fall wind. My hair was incredibly soft to the touch as well - the only down side was that the next morning, my hair did feel drier, but maybe with a heavier leave-in underneath that won't happen. Love it though!

I got this product as a sample ( thanx btw) and so far i love it, i have used it for about 3 days now doing bantu curls and have had great results my hair is like a 3c/4a/4b <-- yes all in one *eyeroll* but anyways, I LOVE THIS PRODUCT ! i give it a 4 because it smells great, leaves my hair soft and moist without weighing it down and it is easy to apply, a little goes a long way...which it would need to because the price is $22....reason why it is not 5 curls.

3b/a I couldn't resist the name of this one, so when I was in need of a product with lots of moisture I grabbed it. This is a wonderful curl cream for when I want a certain style. When I read about this product, I was skeptical that one curl cream could give me "large flowing curls." Turns out it can, really really well. After washing my hair I apply 1 -2 tablespoons raked through the sections of my hair. I use it as my leave-in conditioner. Then I go to sleep. The April fresh fragrance gives the illusion I'm sleeping on crisp new sheets, and it's relaxing. When I wake up, I have long hair! The hair that usually curls in sharpie-pen sized spirals forms many round curls of different sizes. The canopy is less swirled than usual, but still full of bouncy body. This is a quick easy product for wash & goes. It dries faster than many other creams, and it protects the moisture in my hair all day long.

This stuff is perfect for a wash n go. Keep the hair moisturized, soft, and shiny. Love the smell but not so crazy about the ingredients.

So I tried the pillow soft curls today and LOVED it!!! My hair is pretty thick so I used it to do my two stran twist (chunky twist) and its soft and fluffy didn't weigh my hair down at all. People complain about the smell who doesn't like the smell of fabric softener lol so the smell didnt bother me at all. I will def use this product again. Oh my hair is like a 3c

I LOVE this product on my TWA. I just put a quarter size on my hand and rub in my hair...."BAM" my wash n go is GOOD to GO. My curls are POPPING and they stay fresh all day long. I will always have this staple available. I've gotten many compliments on my curls since using this product.

This really defines my coils and I have a little less shrinkage than usual. It should be called Pillow 'Medium' Curls because no matter how little product I apply I still get crunch. It really does smell like Downy!

After I use this tube up I will not be trying any of the other products, this product made my hair hard and sticky!!!!! Just did not work for me and I wet, shampooed and conditioned my hair daily still no GOOD results!!!

I love love love this stuff... I got up this morning not knowing what to do with my hair so I decided to try the pillow soft culs that I ordered a couple of weeks ago. Im at work now and my hair is like 80% dry and fully dry in some spots.The clumpage it gives and definition it gives is just amazing..I think I like this way more than the curly pudding the scent is a fabric softner fresh scent which smells really good you dont even need to put perfume on. My hair seems to dry more faster with this styling lotion. This will definitely be one of my staples for wash-n-go's. Out of all the miss jessies products this is now one of my favorites along with the curly meringue, Rapid recovery , the shampoo and the conditioner talknig about major hair growth just using these products..Ilove miss jessies cant wait until the bogo sale so I can stock up but will get some of done with the now free shipping. Excellent product a must try if not yet tried it.

First of all - let me address the first reviewer! You don't really need to use harsh language just to say that you dislike a product. Use you "Big Girl" words....seriously! Second of all, I've been a fan of Miss Jessie's every since I transitioned to Natural. It's OBVIOUS that they utilize the smells to match the TITLE of their products so wouldn't it make since for "Pillow Soft Curls" to smell like Fabric Softener. That's their gimmick!! BUT HERE'S MY REVIEW: This product works VERY WELL on my 3c curls and it did what it said it would do. It made my curls SOFT yet defined (which is what I love about ALL their products) I had NO hard or crunchy curls and my hair was left soft and bouncy which it almost impossible with many curl creams! As for the smell, it is a strong smell but it's a 'clean' smell!! If strong smells bother you just choose something else. I'm sure (in time) Miss Jessie will make a version of this that doesn't smell like Fabric Softener!

Goddammit Miss Jessie. The bloody thing smells like FABRIC SOFTENER! I've no idea what's up with their scents—sickening bubblegum, fabric softener. They should seriously reconsider these scents, and offer ones without.
They may be all right at getting your hair to agree (with the use of silicone, no doubt); but my god they are shit with common sense. Who wants their hair to smell like fabric softener?
