Wow. I simply couldn't even get past the smell on this one guys. Just plain could not. Really bummed.

Love this stuff. I put it on my hair when it is wet, and yes it goes boing! I might be moving to 3a or b with it. The smell reminds of some childhood sweet, but doesn't last (unlike the burnt sugar pomade).

My second impression is that boing! is best applied to wet, not damp or moist hair.
For my wash & go style, boing! does an excellent job of helping natural curls maintain definition without frizz.
For my wash & puff, boing! keeps my hairline/edges moisturized and laid without gel.
I'm happy that I figured out how to use this product, but minus one star for the scent.
Still not crazy about how it smells, but my curl cream or oil blend over powers the scent.

My first impression was that boing! smells like Play-Doh.
I washed, deep conditioned, applied Hair Dew and After Bath (an oil blend from their website) then sat under my bonnet dryer on cool for 30 minutes. I should've stopped there, but while my hair was still moist, I remembered to apply boing! I applied it with praying hands then went back to the dryer for 10 minutes on warm. boing! dried quickly and left my hair a little dry as well. My hair was not shiny at all and actually a bit frizzy. Next time, I'll follow directions to the tee and try again, but so far, not impressed.

I got mixed results with this one. I liked most of the ingredients. I liked the texture of the first batch I had but not the second one. The smell was good. Can sometimes be too much. It added moisture sometimes but other times was drying. Could not figure out that one. It does give pretty good hold and will make your hair "boing." Sample sizes can be ordered from homesite. Will not rebuy.

Gives nice definition, but the ends are not sealed.

I was highly disappointed with product. I was so excited to try Oyin after reading so much about them. This product left a horrible layer of white stuff on my hair. I tried to be patient and let it fully dry but it just dried white. So definitely not a winner for me.

I was really disappointed with this product. It has a great name which led me to expect a head full of springy (boingy) curls. Instead, my hair went straight to fluff within 1 day of application. That would be tolerable if it didn't also leave my hair with a layer of residue and little flakes that made it look as if I had dandruff. It also flaked onto my clothes. The residue made my hair look dull and unclean even though my hair was freshly washed. This product doesn't even play well with other products in the Oyin line as I used only Oyin to wash and condition prior to styling and applied it to wet/damp hair according to the directions. I thought I was styling my hair for the week, but I broke down and washed it again after one day because I couldn't stand how unclean my hair looked.

I clarified my hair before using this product to get the best results. It left my hair very dry, I sealed my hair with oil prior to but my hair was still dry. I must say I really like the other products I've used but this one was not for me.

I used the product on freshly washed and clarified hair. It left a residue and the product did not give me the moisture I wanted. It sat on top of my 4ab hair. I like OYIN but not this particular product.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!! I co-washed my hair and then put some boing in my hair and let it air dry. It defined my curls more than any product I have ever used and it made it feel so soft. My hair is a 4a and my hair felt like a 3b. I love it I'm buying some more.

the hold doesn't last long maybe a day i got out of it on wet twist out , and it leaves residue on my hair even if i use a little bit also it leaves white stuff on my uniform and my uniform is dark….but on the bright side it does moisturise..I honestly rather a strong hold i want a hairstyle to last me the entire week i rather a lil crunch then no crunch at all i work 6 days a week i wud like to have my hair styles last long not a day or 2..sigh..i don't kno

I LOVE what it did to my waves. I felt like I instantly became a 2c, almost a 3a! It definitely added a spring to my hair and it smells amazing.
Only drawback - it sometimes leaves white residue on my hair if I put it on damp hair. Must use with super soaking hair.

I used boing as a styler on dry hair for a twist out. It provided great moisture and great definition. For me, it doubles as a styler and moisturizer. The smell is a light sweet smell that does not linger.

I bought this to style a wash-n-go. I used it today on freshly washed (4a/3c) hair. My hair looked okay as it was drying. Around 75% dry, I noticed that my hair was getting less defined and felt less moisturized. It looks all kinds of frizzy now. I will need to restyle it with a different product. I bought an 8oz jar, so I do intend to try it on a twist-out at some point, but as of right now, two thumbs way down. As for the fragrance, it's very sweet-smelling but tolerable. It's not as strong and lasting as their Burnt Sugar Pomade.

Great buy. Excellent scent, provided moisture, shine to hair. I use on my twist out.
