I have 3b, coarse hair, with low porosity. I try to avoid anything that can build up quickly on my hair, because my hair resists absorbing. Sometimes when it's completely wet, it still feels dry. I hesitated to try coconut oil because I thought it would be like my olive oil/eggs/mayonnaise/honey/avocado/beer/baking soda/vinegar/lemon...etc.etc. disasters. Smelling like coconut for a week because the oil refused to wash out wouldn't be nearly as bad as smelling like curiosity got the better of me. It turns out coconut oil is MAGIC for my hair. I put it on dry hair at night, sleep in my sleep cap, then rinse and/or cowash in the morning. After 3 months of using 2-3 times a week, everyone I know has commented on how shiny my hair is. My hair is much much less frizzy, and my scalp isn't itchy. Most incredible of all, though, is my hair is growing so much! For the last 4 years (after my Chop) my hair got to a certain length and never seemed to grow. When it was longer it curled up to the same length it would be after a trim, so it never seemed to change. Suddenly I can feel my hair between my shoulder blades! The coconut oil seems to help add weight, so my curls are longer and looser, which I love. They can bounce a little without immediate Poof. Plus, my hair feels softer than it's ever felt in my life. People would feel my hair and say "Do you have hairspray in your hair? Do you have gel in your hair?" The answer was always, "No that's how my hair feels naturally." Not only is coconut oil wonderful for my hair, I'm using it to moisturize my body skin and it's fantastic. I still love to use Argan Oil on my hair ends when my hair is wet, but for all over "repair" and softening, nothing beats coconut oil, or even comes close.

Coconut oil has been a major part of my hair and skincare regimen. I pair it with the Sunny Isle Black Castor Oil and it works well treating my dandruff.

Just after one use I noticed the difference. Made my hair super soft ! I'm only giving it 3 stars because I really hate the glass that the product is in. I wish they would change that and make it bigger. However, it is worth it.

Ok, so I love this stuff, it's great. I use it for my "O" as in the "L.O.C" method and it works great. But I like it in the solid form. Just wish it was in a jar instead of a bottle.

This is a really good oil. I have very frizzy hair and when i use this on my edges or sealing the ends of my hair it really helps with the frizz and moistuizing. I want to know if there is a bigger size!

At first I was a little concerned that I had to put the bottle in hot water to have it turned into a liquid. I wish the would include a little nozzle that you can use to apply it to your scalp. Besides that I really like this product and it smells and feels great on my scalp!

I tried the coconut oil today before washing my hair. The best product I ever tried on my curly hair besides WEN cleansing conditioners and all of the additional products. The coconut oil made my dry scalp better and made my hair so soft it is hard for me to stop touching it. I love coconut oil. 5 star rating from me.

This stuff is heavenly. For all of the ladies saying it drys up, coconut oil is supposed to do that. When in room temperature coconut oil is thick and hard. What I do is I put the entire bottle in warm water when i'm putting in my leave-in, and by the time I am done with that it is melted and ready to put in. It needs to be in warm water for at least a minute for it to melt again. DO NOT GIVE UP ON COCONUT OIL, it has saved my hair. My hair fell out in high school due to swimming in chlorine too much, and this restored my curls within 3 months of consistent use (with a leave-in and moisturizer). I do wish they sold this in a bigger bottle, but if you go to Winco they sell it in a huge bottle for about $10.

My mother used to hand-press coconut oil, heat it, and give me a spoonful of it with a pinch of salt to treat my asthma. I didn't like the taste as a child, but smelling this oil brought a wave of nostalgic memories that almost brought me to tears. It even tasted like hers! I had to heat it up (by placing the bottle in a bowl of hot water) because it solidifies in the bottle with the slightest drop of temperature. Even when solid, it still goes on light; lighter than olive oil, but not as light as jojoba. I use it after a leave-in and before a cream (LOC method) as well as a pre-shampoo or on my ends. I also use it on my face and elbows. I have no doubts as to this product's purity, however, after dropping the bottle and having (thankfully only) the cap break, I realize it would be easier to use in a solid form. I will definitely be purchasing from this brand again.

when I bought this it was good then I put it in a container because I didn't want the glass to break do not put it in a container because it will go solid it's not going to be oil anymore and its going to stick in the container.

I did not have a good experience with my first brand of coconut oil (itching & a terrible smell). But after hearing everyone rave about coconut oil, I decided to give it another shot with a different brand, Sunny Isle, and I am so glad I did. It feels so good on my hair, it smells pleasant and it doesn't make me itch. Needless to say, this is now one of my staple oils.

Wow, really like this oil. It penetrates the hair shat without leaving a greasy feeling. May hair was well moisturized. I will continue to use this oil.

I love love love this coconut oil!! I use it as a sealant after my leave-in conditioner; it's not heavy and leaves my hair very soft.

This is my absolute favorite product out of the whole line (so far)! I'm a huge fan of coconut oil to begin with and what sets this one apart from others that I have tried, is the heavenly scent. It's not a heavy scent, just slightly coconutty. I use it to finger detangle my hair while it's dry. The packaging could be a little more user friendly (it'd probably be easier to use if it was in a container similar to the pomades), but other than that I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this product. Love it!
