I love this oil...just what I have been looking for. Still unsure what my hair type is but it has helped in curbing the dryness. I do head massages on myself with this oil. Little bit goes along way.

Castor oil is the best thing ever for hair. I grew up with this stuff not realizing that it's the popular Castor oil naturals and myself are using these days. I use this on my edges every night and every few days to massage my scalp. My tender scalp feels moisturized and less itchy. Growing up my family used Castor oil for medicinal purposes and our culture referred to it by a different name. Overall great stuff no matter where it comes from. As long its 100 % pure stuff.

It's kind of hard for me to measure the results when I am looking in the mirror everyday. I have been using it in hopes of thickening my edges and enhancing growth. Usually I will put it on my edges and rub some thru my hair at night. The next morning, my curls actually look more defined and moisturized.

I love this oil as a pre poo, and for sealing. It does have a weird smell but it it makes my hair feel great :)

I do like this product so far. I have only used it to seal my ends and a hot oil treatment. It's thick so a little does go along ways. I look forward to using as a pre shampoo treatment. And I don't think that the smell is that bad, as some reviewers stated.

I have used it on my hair for about a week and I am seeing results, thickness and good moisture sealer.

    Hair Type: 4c

I have 6 month old locks and finding ways to keep my hair moisturized during this time (conveniently in winter as I write this, lol) has been quite challenging, until now of course! I understand now why castor oil has been a staple for so many people because it can do great things for you hair.

I intended to use this as a hot oil treatment / leave-in. Then I decided I wasn't too fond of the lingering fragrance in my hair - which normally doesn't bother me. So I washed the castor oil out with a sample of shampoo included in shipping. Using this oil as a pre-shampoo treatment has left my locks literally in the BEST condition they have EVER been in since starting them. And the best part is that if you end up unexpectedly not liking the fragrance, simply using this oil as pre-poo or hot oil treatment will give your hair the best benefits w/o the lingering fragrance.

*Side Note: I purchased the Lavender version hoping it would mask the strong scent of JBCO. When I first opened the bottle (cap was intact, properly wrapped, w/ no cracks) the Lavender was present. However as I started applying the oil and let it sit my hair for 1-2 hours, the distinct JBCO scent became more potent than the Lavender. After giving my locks a good rinse (warm-hot water) the scent greatly decreased. I won't have any issues with using a small amount of this oil on my scalp each evening.

Despite how heavy/thick JBCO is, my scalp doesn't feel irritated and as mentioned earlier my hair feels incredibly soft. I'm not sure if I'll need to do an oil rinse each week, but certainly bi-weekly rinses w/ castor oil will improve my hair over time.

If lighter oils such as coconut & tea tree haven't been doing the trick...or even thicker oils like olive, avocado, and shea oils haven't done much, try the 2oz. sample of regular JBCO and see how it goes :)

I have been using this for 3 months, and my hair is longer than it's ever been. I use it as a pre-shampoo treatment once a week, and leave it in at least 2 hours, sometimes longer. I wash it out, condition, style, and my hair is so shiny and soft. I get compliments all the time! My hair is 3A/3B, and it has never been healthier.

I love this Castor Oil. It has helped greatly during my return to natural hair. While transitioning this has helped with growth and sealing. It is heavy so I like to use it with a carrier oil like coconut, grape seed or mustard oils. This also helps product last longer. Worked fore as described on bottle.

I love this product. It has a natural smell to it, it gives my hair a pretty shine, and protects against the stress caused by the environment. I am hoping to see promoted hair growth and repair...I've only had it for a few weeks, but so far so good. My cap had a crack in it when I revived it. But it was wrapped very good and had a seal for added protection.

I received my Jamaican black castor oil. Why did the cap come broken ? I read this in other review and it was well wrapped.

I have had great results using this product. My hair now has a deep down shine that it did not have before. It also is getting thicker and longer!

The thick consistency makes it a little tricky to apply, but the scent and the supreme level of moisture it provides can't be beat. I applied it all over to my soaking wet hair after shampooing and conditioning and did not need to use any additional styling products to achieve the look I wanted. I also like to apply it directly to my scalp and on my ends at night before I put on my satin cap.
