I have low porosity hair, so I bought this to help my hair absorb product. I used it with deep conditioner, and then put it on again for leave-in conditioner, gel, and olive oil. After I was done, my hair was much lighter weight, fluffy, and bouncy. It also had a little shine (What is that?) to it. And my drying time was a lot shorter. Today, I used it to help my hair absorb a re-application of leave-in conditioner, and it worked well again. Thanks for a device that helps hair absorb product that otherwise would just sit on top, and weigh the hair down!

This product is a great buy! I use this product for my weekly deep conditioning treatments. I agree with the positive reviews before me. I feel like I'm on the right healthy hair path with this product.

I bought this for my hot oil and deep conditioning treatments. I love how I can wear this and go about my chores or do whatever I need around the house while treating my hair. No plugs, no wires, love it. The only complaint I have is that my ears were trapped under it and the heat started to burn my ears. I solved this by placing paper napkins around the tops of my earlobes. Other than that it did the trick!

this heats up and does the job, but it does not fit on my head like i though it would and like it does for the model on the box. the center gel pack has 4 sections, but only 3 fit into my hair wrap and so one is doubled.

I got this a few weeks ago and tried to use it for the first time. I don't like that you have to figure out how to put the packets in, not a good concept. I did not try it this time around. Since I paid for it, I may pick it up again next time I co-wash my hair, but for now not happy with it.

I just received my pink head wrap this past weekend. The insertion of the gel packs was a bit awkward in my opinion at first glance, but I got them in there after following the instructions. My microwave settings required me to use the full 80 seconds to heat my head wrap. The wrap fit perfectly around my head and it maintained its heat just like the product promises. The Aunt Jackie's Deep Conditioner I used with it didn't do much for my hair, but I definitely noticed the difference heat can make. I also love the idea that I am not stuck in one place while I am treating my hair. I can move around freely and get a good deep conditioning at the same time. I also thought the plastic caps they provided was also a nice touch. The Design Essentials Moisturizer sample I received only made my experience even better. I do plan on eventually getting a hair steamer, but this is a great item to use in the meantime. I love the color, the ease of use, and the price. Delivery time was on point as well. I would highly recommend this product. The only con I have it that I wish it came with the option of being in blue. :)

Great concept, poor execution. I bought one and it lasted about 2 months when used once a week. The wrap itself started getting really worn looking and then one of the gel packs got a small leak (yes I was following instructions to a T). Bought another one about a year later thinking product would be improved by then, same experience. Never again!

Very convenient. Heat lasts for about 20-25 mins for me, so I did reheat after a few minutes for another half hour of heated deep treatment. I would recommend to others. Hair felt much softer immediately after use.

I tried this product today for the first time and it is great. I did a hot oil treatment and a deep conditioner without having to drag out my bulky hooded dryer. I hove the fact that it is cordless so I can move around freely and do other things. This is a new staple for me!

I've only used it once but so far I like it. I give it 4 starts b/c I was trying out a new deep conditioner at the same time and I wasn't too fond of the DC so I will use the wrap again this week with my tried and true DC (Shea Moisture Purification Mask). My only problem is, it doesn't heat one spot in the back, you have to turn it to get the back of your head heated.

Using the wrap was a pleasant spa-like experience. It was easy to use and I could walk around and do other things comfortably while using it, unlike the experience of having to sit still under a hood. I like that it heats things up to open up the cuticles of my low porosity hair so that it can soak up the moisture.

This wrap is amazing. The wrap didn't feel hot to touch after the first 45 seconds so I kept microwaving it for 10 more seconds and then 10 more. Although it doesn't feel like it I suggest putting it on because I found that the gel was actually hot already. Once I had it on with my conditioner it felt so good I didn't want to take it off after 20 minutes, and my hair got a lot of compliments the next day.

I have a 700 Watt microwave, so I microwaved for 45 plus 10 additional seconds to get to ideal heat. to the touch, it didn't feel warm at first, but combined with my body heat it seemed to increase in warmth. Hopefully enough to open my hair follicles for the deep conditioner to penetrate. It definitely beats sitting under the hood dryer for 30 minutes. I give it 4 stars for convenience, energy saving benefit and ease of use. It would be nice to know if it's as effective as my hood dryer. I highly recommend it. In fact, I'm considering purchasing one for my mother and sister.

This is a great product. It's very easy to use, makes deep conditioning very convenient, and is reasonably priced. My only concern,or question, is how difficult will it be to get replacement gel packs (in the event that the current ones become damaged). Otherwise, I highly recommend this product.

Welp glad to say that after about ten uses the gel packs have still not burst. It's a good item, doesn't get as hot as I like but when I pull it away my curls are still warm under the shower cap. Only problem is, it doesn't heat one spot in the back, you have to turn it to get the back of your head heated.

Very excellent product! Perfect while deep conditioning your hair.
Simply pop the cap into the microwave for 45 seconds to a minute, the cap stays warm approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
Reheat when necessary, depending on your heat preference.
Instead of being confined under the hooded dryer, you can go about with housework or other business.
The only con is I wish the cap had a gel panel for the middle-back of the cap.
Overall, this product should be a must for anyone deep conditioning their tresses.

Love it!!! I put it in the microwave for 45 seconds and then again for an additional 15 seconds. The heat lasted for 35minutes. I was able to clean and organize my apartment while deep conditioning my hair. I also like that you dont get the burnt ears that you get when you sit under a regular dryer. Easy to wash too!

I bought this heat wrap maybe about 6 to 9 months ago. It worked great initially but after continued use the gel packs heat unevenly and recently one pack had exploded in the microwave after following the directions every time. I think I am going to go back to a hooded ionic dryer or deep conditioning cap. I guess I got my $25 worth :-/

This heat wrap is so easy to use; just put it in the microwave for 45 seconds! Amazing! I do have a hair dryer that I have to sit under and I haven't used it in years; too much of a hassle. With this heat wrap, I was able to do things around the house while I was deep conditioning and got great results. I highly recommend this!!!

Love love love this product!!! I will probably never sit under a hooded dryer again!! Because I have a hectic schedule, I was able to clean the house, attend cheerleading tryouts with my daughter, and take a nap-all wile giving myself a hot oil treatment. I can even deep condition while at work (of course with a fashionable hat on) and no would know!! It even came with bonus caps and samples of conditioner which is always a plus.

I only gave it 4 stars because I have to rotate the wrap to evenly distribute heat throughout my hair. If I didnt rotate it the back part where the wraps start there is no heat there. That is the only downside to the product but other than that I love it. I can still remain mobile and deep condition my hair. You cant go to the store or continue house chores under a hair dryer or steamer. You cant beat the results nor the price

I purchased this product based on the reviews on this site. The Hair Therapy Wrap is a great product. I'm able to deep condition my hair while I do other things (i.e. I'm not tied to a cord). It took a couple of times to get it on my head correctly only because it's a little slippery with a plastic cap on your head). I'm sure that will get easier with time. Overall, a great product and made my hair super soft.

I like that this cap keeps me mobile. I think I have the newer version because on mine you pull the straps in opposite directions and then velcro them on top. The gel packs are also zippered in rather then velcro-ed in. I only gave four stars because I would have like to get it to cover my entire head, (the bottom back was kind of out, I have thick hair that was twisted and pinned down to fit in the cap) and I had to microwave twice (80 seconds each time) to feel as though I was getting a good heated deep condition.

I love, love, love this product!
It is really nice to be able to do DTs without being tied down. To be honest, I do more of them now that I am able to roam free around the house.
It works equally well with creamy DTs as it does with hot oil.
I like to throw mine on when I am snuggling in bed with my 1 year-old, giving her a bit of milk. The warmth is so nice and relaxing that I almost dose off myself!
It stays warm for 20-30 minutes which will feel really nice in colder weather.
The gel packs are a little awkward to put in the cap and it gets a little hard to hear when you have it on, but both are prices well worth paying when it comes to this product!

Love it! Perfect for deep conditioning while still getting things done around the house. Heat cap for about 75 seconds. To tighten the back for a more secure/snug fit simply put cap on, tightly twist the strap 3-4 times at the base of your neck and then secure tip of strap to velco near front of the cap. Heat lasts for about 30 minutes. Good investment!

This heat wrap is great. I used to have to use hot towels or be tethered to a hooded hair dryer when I deep conditioned. Now I just pop this wrap in the microwave for 65 seconds and my head is nice and warm for over half an hour and I'm not tied to a hairdryer or sitting under towels that are getting cold. Only one problem with it: It's hard to tighten it up with the piece of material and velcro setup, so it doesn't fit super tight. Don't know why they didn't just put a strap on it so it could hook under one's chin. Other than that, it's a great product.

Does okay. It doesn't get warm enough for me and it won't get as tight as I'd like to be. I do like the freedom of not having to sit under the dryer while I'm deep conditioning though. Also, it doesn't fully cover you head.

Does a good job. Definitely isn't as warm as I'd like it to be but for safety I suppose it's a good thing. I did bust one of the gel packs upon 1st use though so read the directions carefully and follow to a t. The hair at the nape won't get touched however because that's where you twist and wrap from & pin to the front. But in general it's a good product.

This wrap works great. I was thinking about getting a bonnet dryer to do DTs but I'm so happy I found this instead. It heats up well and last for about. 30-40 mins, the only cons is that the middle gel back doesn't go all the way down to the end of your hair so there is a patch of hair in the back that wont directly get the heat.

I just ordered this product and so far I like it. I work from home, so I actually use it every day after I apply my daily leave in and sealant. The reason I gave it four stars is because it's difficult to find the exact heat setting. Sometimes the packs inside start making a "popping sound" only to find the packs still somewhat cool. Also, I have to use a hair elastic to somewhat tighten it so it sits on my head properly. Otherwise, great investment!

I bought this last July and it's been a great investment. I use it 2-3 times a week for my hot oil, pre-poo and DC treatments and I notice a definite difference between using this with my treatments and not using it. Plus it's great that you're not confined to one place with this. The instructions say that the heat only lasts for 20-30 minutes, but I've left this on for an hour without reheating it and it still felt somewhat warm -- not piping hot, just warm enough to keep your head toasty. When I have worn it for over an hour, I've just reheated it and put it back on my head with no problems. It's really a fantastic little invention!

Used this with Wen Lavender Re-Moist Hydrating Mask. The results were amazing. This cap really applies and maintains the heat, transferring it to your hair. Combined w/ a deep treatment product, the results are terrific.
I microwaved it for the recommended 80 seconds, and that was perfect.
